Just used this moving company today for the first time!!! SO HAPPY with how it turned out and would highly recommend!!! Thankfully, move was stress free. I had Roberts team (2 people: Robert & Jose) helping me today and they were quick, friendly and worked hard (especially considering that my furniture was HUGE and they took the stairs 50 million times like champs). I felt so bad but they handled it professionally. They were sooo quick, we finished within our 2 hour time limit that we tried to set ourselves (we’re on a budget unfortunately).
I didn’t use any wrapping or packaging and my stuff arrived at my new apartment just fine! I have a HUGE leather couch and a huge leather headboard and i was super surprised that nothing was damaged. Robert and Jose carefully moved everything through the small doors and hallways, which I was so grateful for!
They were careful with driving too! I drove infront of them because my new apartment is gated (so i can let them in) and i noticed they were driving slow which was AMAZING!!! Nobody wants movers that drive crazy so I was super glad they seemed to care about our stuff.
The booking process was super easy! I requested a quote from yelp and they were super quick to respond and call me about prices. They didn’t ask for a deposit and said that the minimum was 2 hours which is PERFECT because I was moving a studio within a very close distance. EVERY other place that I called had a 3 hour minimum.
I was able to pay cash in person and was told that it was Not an extra fee for cards (i noticed other moving companies charged like $5-$20 extra for cards!
OVERALL: SUPER impressed with this company!! I will be using them for future moves!!! Thanks again for the quick and easy move!

Robert’s team is AMAZING!!! They helped move our large furniture out of our house that was up a flight of stairs and up a hill. They moved quickly and were very professional! They quickly offloaded our stuff at our new house and placed everything where we wanted it. I am beyond pleased and I would HIGHLY recommend them!

We were really pleased with the entire experience of moving using NorthStar. We didn’t have a very big move (just within San Francisco city), but that only helped make this move one of the fastest and most efficient that I’ve ever experienced. They were very much on-time with lots of updates on their arrival right up until they did actually show up. They got right to work and continued at a very fast, yet very controlled paced moving everything from my apartment in to the truck without an issue. Once they followed us in the moving truck to our new apartment, they were able to get things running into the new apartment just as fast. Overall everything was completely said and done and they were on their way within 3 hours. Highly recommend!

I’m a huge fan of NorthStar. This is my second move with them. They were very professional and friendly. I was cleaning the apartment as they moved and they even helped vacuum cobwebs up high that I could not reach. That’s service!

From setting up a reservation to dropping off the final box, these guys were top notch! I helped a friend move from a two-bedroom to a one-bedroom. And if I recall, I called for a quote and was explained the moving procedure and what was covered during the move. As far as purchasing insurance coverage, valuewise there was no need for it. I did receive quite a few emails prior to move day confirming thing. Kinda irritating, but not too bad, they’re only protecting their business. Understandable.
On move day, I worked with Felipe who planned things out. He was also assisted by Noe and Eulalio. We pretty much had things all boxed up and ready to haul. Luckily, the move wasn’t very far too. The move was quoted as a four hour job, only these guys finished within three hours! Total for the move was $420. Basically $140 per hour, but worth it. I could’ve went with another company that quoted me at $110, but I’m glad I didn’t. These guys did exactly what I needed. I think the cheaper you go, the cheaper help you’ll get.
In the East Bay, I’ve had excellent experiences with NorthStar Movjng and their competitors 680 Movers, but I’d choose NorthStar again after this last move. I also recommend NEVER to go with Fairprice Movers, as those guys tried to deny breaking my ceiling fan, not admitting fault, and trying to cover it up. Luckily I found the fan blade in the gutter as evidence to prove their neglect. And they’re luck I didn’t give them a one-star review. Anyways, back to Northstar Moving; they were fast, they did their job in a timely manner, and I have no complaints.
Miguel was amazing, moved our stuff safely and securely. We were able to move all our stuff for my bedroom and living room within 2 hours with how quickly they work. Would definitely recommend to anyone moving within the area. Polite and friendly conversations as well.

I found Northstar because of yelp and used them and want to post about them in Yelp! They are the easiest, and the most responsive moving company I’ve worked with. They are more than just online reservations and emails, they are personal. Their teams truly is put to please and provide a safe and reliable and speedy move work for all. Their employees are qualified, efficient and so careful with your items. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Northstar arrived on time, the got straight to work, and they were very responsive to my specific instructions. The move went smoothly and they did an amazing job putting all of our desks and tables back together. Caleb and his crew all had great attitudes and kept in communication the whole day. Absolutely our best move ever! From beginning to end, the experience was great. I reached out on-line and chatted with Alma on what we needed. She was friendly and professional and great with responses. She even offered a discount on the trip fee. Excellent customer service! We booked about a month out and received a confirmation call a few days before we moved. I requested as close to 8am as possible in the window of 8-10am I was given. Our first box was moved at 8:30am. Our one bedroom apartment moved into a storage unit was 4 hours flat with an elevator at each location. They were on time, very friendly and professional. Our items were expertly arranged in our storage unit and we had plenty of room to spare when I was initially concerned everything might not fit. We’ve moved A LOT in Phoenix and Bryce Dailey and Matthew Neri were rockstars! Highly recommend!
Moving on up! That’s right I moved into my dream home with the help of NorthStar Moving this last month. What a overall amazing customer service experience. From the fast quote response from Gabriella who was prompt to return my call and explained every detail possible to ensure I understand each process. Her follow through and check in prior to the move was right on time. She was even easy to accommodate a last minute change in schedule due to my move out day being pushed back. Johnathon was the lead mover for my two man crew. He was professional over the phone and extremely friendly in person. He walked me through the process prior to moving anything. He also was very cautious on how he moved my valuable. Not one knick, scrape or broken item. He moves fast, safe and securely. Once he was done prior to signing off he had me look over everything to make sure I was happy.

I very much appreciate the great work Frank, Jimmy, and Henry did for me. I had quite a bit to move and they were fast and efficient. Additionally, I had one very heavy piece of furniture that had to get up a flight of Italian marble stairs. I was very nervous that either or both things were going to get damaged due to the enormity and weight of this piece of furniture. Much to everyone’s surprise, they got it up without damaging the furniture or the stairs. Very impressive work! Thank you for your help with this move!
