The Northstar crew provided a solid 8 hours of hard work. They arrived on time, were super friendly and assisted me with my special requests. All of my items were professionally wrapped with blankets and handled with care. Not a ding, not a scratch. They are so reliable that this is my second time using them. I highly recommend them to everyone seeking local and long distance moves. Great job guys!

We had a great experience moving with this company. We hadn’t moved in 10 years, so had a LOT of stuff. Miguel & team were professional, on time, careful with all our fragile items while being super fast and very pleasant to work with. They also threw in some extras free of charge that we really appreciated.

We will be using Northstar again for our next move.

Found them through yelp and called. They were thoroughly professional from the beginning. I liked how emphatically they promise no hidden charges. Everything was explained clearly. They also provide certificate of insurance that our building required. We were promised they would come between 8am and 10am — and they showed up with a truck bang at 8am. Also called us at 7:15am to give us a heads-up prior to arrival. There were two movers and they worked hard and very professionally. They ensured there was zero damage to our goods or the property. In 7.5 hours, they finished everything from packing, loading, driving from SF to Mountain View, unpacking and arranging stuff at the new apartment. Highly recommended!

Seriously the BEST moving company ever. Victor H ran the move and his assistants did amazingly. Not only were they super fast and efficient, they were incredibly professional and helpful with the move. They packed everything so nothing would break, brought everything in to my new place and set everything up. I’d recommend this team for any move…gave me peace of mind that everything made it in perfect shape from A to B.

When booking my appointment, I was able to do so through an online chat, that actually worked! I told Alma what I needed done and how big my move was. She was able to break down the cost and provided me with all the details I needed. This was very helpful.

Edgar and his team were extremely professional helpful. They were right on time and helped me get organized for my big move. They were very efficient and we stayed within the 3 hour timeframe. I’ve used several other moving companies in the past and have had dishes break. Edgar and his team did a great job. My dishes survived the more! I highly recommend NorthStar Moving company.

Nov. 2018:
4 years later, we had to use NorthStar Movers again.  We are lifetime customers.  Again, the 3 men crew came and did an excellent job!  

Packed our big furniture with care, even our big, heavy T.V.  We had packed all the small stuff ourselves in advance, which made the move so quick and effortless.

These guys do, literally, ALL the heavy lifting; so I didn’t mind doing the packing ourselves if it meant having a lower hourly rate, and making sure we had no items left behind.  

Highly recommended and will use them again, hopefully not any time soon thou 🙂

Just used northstar’s services for my move this morning. Edgar and his team were perfect. I had sent out ~20 messages out to different moving companies in SF and this the cheapest at only $85/hr. They include gas, packaging supplies, etc. This rate was supposed to include the truck and 2 men but there were 4!

Everything went smoothly. Making an appointment was simple, they gave me a call a few days before the move as well as 30min before the arrived, and also worked quickly and efficiently to box up all my things and move them to my new apartment.

I didn’t have many things but they brought a huuuuuuuge truck for it anyways. You have to book a minimum of 3 hours and we were done at about 2-2.5hrs.

Highly, highly recommend this company.

I went through several people including the owner Michelle when scheduling the move. Although it wasn’t just one person, everyone was courteous and professional. They were also accommodating in changing our move date.

NorthStar was also able to quickly get us the insurance certificates and waivers that our HOA required for moving. They were responsive in everything we had inquired.

Edgar and his crew helped us with the move. They arrived on time and were very careful in wrapping our furnitures and mattresses – a very important step in moving. They helped to disassemble our beds, TV, etc. They were also quick and efficient in moving our stuff. Obviously an experienced crew. Would I get them again for a move? You bet.

I could not have asked for a better experience with Northstar! We got three estimates before going with them and I’m so thankful we made the choice we did! They were prompt, professional, and even thoughtful about the way they moved special items like paintings, toys, even our dog’s stuff!

Our team – Manny, Alfonso, William, Jonathan and Jesse – was fantastic. Moving is stressful and exhausting and they made it both fun and efficient. We are so grateful to be in our new house and are enjoying these first few days in peace (and organization) because of them!

Moving is always stressful, but NorthStar Moving did an amazing job. I was contacted right away and communication throughout was excellent. They made sure to protect all our stuff and were very careful not to damage anything, but were still very efficient. Edgar and his team were able to load and unload our 3 bedroom in less than 3 hours. They were very professional and even showed up 30 minutes before our window. The guys at NorthStar Moving Company were great in helping me move! I managed to find a spot on short notice thanks to the scheduling team and my move couldn’t have gone smoother. They paid extra attention to my stuff as well.

Moving is terrible, but today I had it super easy thanks to Felipe, Joaquin, and Alan. They showed up right at the beginning of the window that they originally gave me and let me know their ETA more than an hour before they arrived. They took all of our stuff down three stories not only in record time but also with diligence and care. All furniture was wrapped carefully, and my super super heavy futon they took care to disassemble and reassemble – ensuring it would fit where we wanted it. On top of that they were professional through out, and the pricing was exactly as advertised. I hope to never move again, but if I have to, hope I get these guys.

This company is outstanding from start to finish. From the beginning with Gabriella’s appointment call (which seemed to come in seconds of my request) to the actual move with Arthur, Cam and Marlon I could not be more pleased. All of my things were moved with much care, but in a vary expedient manner.  I would recommend this company to anyone for any type of move. The costs were very reasonable for the quality of work and time.

Simply the BEST!!

I just finished using North Star Moving for a third time and once again I’m so happy I used them for my move. I couldn’t possibly have asked for a better crew when I got William, Jorge, Victor and Bryant.  

They called before our appointment to confirm that they would be on time. They worked very efficiently and obviously are very experienced movers. Everything was wrapped and padded,  they were very careful squeezing around tight corners and were friendly and professional the entire move.

I hope I don’t have to move again in the near future, but if I do.. I will definitely call North Star again. Thanks, guys! Highly recommended.

I messaged a few different moving companies for moving quotes as I only had a kitchen and bedroom to move. I usually do my own moving but I didn’t have access to a large vehicle and with 2 flights of stairs to consider I decided to call an expert.

I spoke with NorthStar and they re-assured me that they secure all my items, have insurance and even provide a clothing wardrobe to move all  my items hanging in the closets. There was a cheaper company I was considering but the reviews on Yelp seemed pretty harsh and there was was a good amount of good and bad so I decided not take any chances. I don’t own expensive items but I didn’t want a broken or cracked item.

NorthStar was really patient about earning my business. They were great about explaining all the costs and giving me an estimate with all the costs involved. I was grateful that they were able to get the job done in the time I estimated and there was no hidden fees.

They had a 2 hour minimum which included drive time so I had planned to move all the large items I was unable to carry myself and could not fit in my car at the time and had planned to move all the smaller items through the week myself.

They showed up on time and the movers were really professional. All my items were wrapped and padded if necessary and everything  carried out safely and quickly. I was shocked at how fast they did it and with such ease. They seriously are professionals. Since they were able to do it so quickly, they asked if I needed help moving some of my kitchenware. I hadn’t planned for it assuming the two hours that I had hired them, included drive time wouldn’t give me enough time to move other things so I didn’t pack too many other things. They reassured me they could help and brought in boxes and paper for any glassware and packed up all my dishes and other miscellaneous kitchen items. They helped me label the boxes and lay everything out in my new place. This was seriously the best thing ever! Best part was they didn’t need to take all the drawers out of the dresser they just moved it as is after wrapping and my bed was completely wrapped and protected.

I’ve moved 3 times in since I’ve moved to SF and this was seriously the easiest move ever. No sweating, bumping into things and or multiple trips. The wardrobe boxes were great. I didn’t have to unhang any of my clothes or worry about wrinkles. It went straight on to the rack at my new place and they disassembled my bed frame and re-assembled my bed frame. I was able to unpack all my stuff and feel settled into my new place in a few hours. This was seriously worth it.

Great service! The movers were prompt and ready. They were gracious with the change in the moving path with the apartment complex closing down the main elevator. They broke down all of the furniture pretty quickly. The wrapped up and protected our furniture and belongings and took care of them like their own. Always courteous and accommodating. They navigated the construction zone masterfully. We had a sleeping baby in a room and they moved like gazelles and did not wake her ups. From point A to point B the process was seamless and effortless. Highly recommend them.

So this move had a couple hiccups. But the way the company handled it was top notch. I will definitely use them again.

We have a toddler, so had to carefully coordinate babysitting and nap time around the move. The movers ended up coming late (one mover was sick and they needed a last-minute sub). We rolled with that, but it did throw off the childcare planning. Then their truck broke down! More bad luck.

But the movers themselves were very friendly and professional, and when I told the company how the move went, the customer service team was awesome.
