This company is outstanding from start to finish. From the beginning with Gabriella’s appointment call (which seemed to come in seconds of my request) to the actual move with Arthur, Cam and Marlon I could not be more pleased. All of my things were moved with much care, but in a vary expedient manner.  I would recommend this company to anyone for any type of move. The costs were very reasonable for the quality of work and time.

Simply the BEST!!

I just finished using North Star Moving for a third time and once again I’m so happy I used them for my move. I couldn’t possibly have asked for a better crew when I got William, Jorge, Victor and Bryant.  

They called before our appointment to confirm that they would be on time. They worked very efficiently and obviously are very experienced movers. Everything was wrapped and padded,  they were very careful squeezing around tight corners and were friendly and professional the entire move.

I hope I don’t have to move again in the near future, but if I do.. I will definitely call North Star again. Thanks, guys! Highly recommended.

I messaged a few different moving companies for moving quotes as I only had a kitchen and bedroom to move. I usually do my own moving but I didn’t have access to a large vehicle and with 2 flights of stairs to consider I decided to call an expert.

I spoke with NorthStar and they re-assured me that they secure all my items, have insurance and even provide a clothing wardrobe to move all  my items hanging in the closets. There was a cheaper company I was considering but the reviews on Yelp seemed pretty harsh and there was was a good amount of good and bad so I decided not take any chances. I don’t own expensive items but I didn’t want a broken or cracked item.

NorthStar was really patient about earning my business. They were great about explaining all the costs and giving me an estimate with all the costs involved. I was grateful that they were able to get the job done in the time I estimated and there was no hidden fees.

They had a 2 hour minimum which included drive time so I had planned to move all the large items I was unable to carry myself and could not fit in my car at the time and had planned to move all the smaller items through the week myself.

They showed up on time and the movers were really professional. All my items were wrapped and padded if necessary and everything  carried out safely and quickly. I was shocked at how fast they did it and with such ease. They seriously are professionals. Since they were able to do it so quickly, they asked if I needed help moving some of my kitchenware. I hadn’t planned for it assuming the two hours that I had hired them, included drive time wouldn’t give me enough time to move other things so I didn’t pack too many other things. They reassured me they could help and brought in boxes and paper for any glassware and packed up all my dishes and other miscellaneous kitchen items. They helped me label the boxes and lay everything out in my new place. This was seriously the best thing ever! Best part was they didn’t need to take all the drawers out of the dresser they just moved it as is after wrapping and my bed was completely wrapped and protected.

I’ve moved 3 times in since I’ve moved to SF and this was seriously the easiest move ever. No sweating, bumping into things and or multiple trips. The wardrobe boxes were great. I didn’t have to unhang any of my clothes or worry about wrinkles. It went straight on to the rack at my new place and they disassembled my bed frame and re-assembled my bed frame. I was able to unpack all my stuff and feel settled into my new place in a few hours. This was seriously worth it.

Great service! The movers were prompt and ready. They were gracious with the change in the moving path with the apartment complex closing down the main elevator. They broke down all of the furniture pretty quickly. The wrapped up and protected our furniture and belongings and took care of them like their own. Always courteous and accommodating. They navigated the construction zone masterfully. We had a sleeping baby in a room and they moved like gazelles and did not wake her ups. From point A to point B the process was seamless and effortless. Highly recommend them.

So this move had a couple hiccups. But the way the company handled it was top notch. I will definitely use them again.

We have a toddler, so had to carefully coordinate babysitting and nap time around the move. The movers ended up coming late (one mover was sick and they needed a last-minute sub). We rolled with that, but it did throw off the childcare planning. Then their truck broke down! More bad luck.

But the movers themselves were very friendly and professional, and when I told the company how the move went, the customer service team was awesome.

The NorthStar team were extremely prepared and incredibly professional. Calling into the office to schedule with a quick move date was fast, easy and welcoming. The foreman called the morning of the move to give a real timeframe. The team was fast, efficient, friendly, outstanding. This is the second time using NorthStar in the past year and half. My experience with them has been outstanding. I will definitely use their service again in the future. Hopefully not as quickly as I needed them again this time around.

I was able to get an appointment about a week before I moved. It was helpful they had availability so soon ahead of time. Also, they have another option to view your home ahead of time, to estimate how much time it will take, and they’ll mark the maximum time not to exceed.

They were prompt and on time. I would say there was some confusion about the time starting. Initially when I first called, the office lady said I’d have the 12-6pm slot. This was a little nerve racking for us, since our estimated time of move was going to be a max of 7.5 hours! And our condo has a moving time slot of only 4 hours. Then my fiancé called, they said they’d come earlier, 11am. Then the day before, 9am. Then a few hours before, 8:30! I mean in the grand scheme of things it worked out okay, but just a lack of communication. There was no way to confirm what they initially said, since it didn’t say on the estimated sheet. Oh well.

They were extremely quick to move. With a large sofa, small sofa, dining room table, 4 chairs, tv stand, queen bed + mattress, desk, another tv stand, 2 trunks, and what felt like 40 boxes, it only took them 2 hrs 15 mins to move down 2 flights of stairs!!!! (With 3 guys). Also they have closet hanger boxes, so that helps. They also have large blankets to cover the sofa, large furniture, and wrap as part of their service! So awesome.

When you move into your new place, they take down all the wrapping and also ask where you want to place things, so have an idea ahead of time.

Total time was 5.5 hours. Total bill was $800. Honestly it was completely worth it!!! It also came with the COI included, if you need one, at no charge. No scratches in my old home or new one.

Edgar, Jose, and Elias were my movers. They did great. Very prompt, efficient. WELL DONE!!!!

I recently decided to turn my lovely home in Brentwood – Los Angeles into a rental property and decided to move to another place.  The only moving company I trust is North Star Movers.  They were very easy to contact to schedule the move and to set the time and date that was convenient for me.  After contacting them, I immediately received the email confirmation for the move.

During the week of the move, they confirmed with me again the schedule and if there were any additional things I need.  On the day of the move, they called me ahead of time and were very prompt and timely at arrival.  The crew that helped me was very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant to work with.  I was able to tell them specifically what I needed.  They loaded and unloaded everything I needed and made sure everything was secure.  They were able to deliver all the big and small items to the exact location I desired at my new home.  This is my second time using this very reliable company and will utilize them again for the next move I make.

Moving sucks.  But, choosing NorthStar Movers to help me with my move was the best decision ever.  Let me repeat that: BEST.DECISION.EVER.  Honestly, don’t bother calling any other company.  I got a few quotes when I started the process and from the start, after meeting Alan, the estimator, I knew I was choosing NorthStar.  From quote to move, everyone who works at this company was amazing!!!   On move day, the guys came as scheduled, four movers. They even called me to let me know their ETA.  I’ve used movers before so I was worried about my furniture being damaged but let me tell you, these guys are absolute PROS.  My crew was headed by Manny.  Manny is OUTSTANDING!!!  A consummate professional and he had things under control.  The crew included Idelsonso, Jessee, and William. All of those guys were also OUTSTANDING! I can’t say enough about them. Not only were they nice, pleasant, professional, they also took very good care of my things. These guys worked hard. Making sure my furniture was properly wrapped and transported, and when we got to the new place, they unwrapped and placed things where I asked. They then even said come take a look to make sure I liked where things were placed and for one of my beds, I had it placed and then asked them to turn it the other way, and no problem – they did it without hesitation.  No complaints, nothing.  They were happy to help to make sure I was happy and satisfied. Seriously, they were amazing. They worked hard!!   I already told Manny that the next time I move, which will be soon, I plan to call and request this same crew!!!   And then, I had a follow up call after the move from their customer service department. Stephanie called and she was absolutely amazing too.  So helpful, patient, and nice!!  I mean seriously, she was one of the nicest customer service reps I spoke to.  I was beyond stressed out and NorthStar exceeded my expectations and completely helped my transition.  

Just call NorthStar.  Don’t bother with any of the other companies.  Some of the other estimators that came gave me the creeps.  That’s how you just know. And with NorthStar, like I said, it was smooth and easy from the start and there are no hidden costs!!

Edgar and his team are incredible. From booking to delivery it was the easiest experience I’ve ever had. They brought everything they needed and I didn’t have to lift a finger.

They arrived promptly at 8:10am after calling me to let me know they were on their way. They got to work and we’re done in literally record time. They were super patient in wrapping up and packing all my belongings. They carefully unwrapped everything and placed them exactly where I needed them to go.

Honestly, don’t bother calling around – hire North Star Movers, you won’t regret it. They had the best price and were absolutely worth it. I couldn’t have asked for a better team to handle my move.

These guys were phenomenal. I’ve had bad movers before – they took their time, longer than expected, some boxes were crushed because they weren’t stacked properly.

North Star was the exact opposite – they took about half the time I expected the job to take. Everything was wrapped incredibly well and packed into the truck well.

A few days before our move we decided on movers. Since we never used movers in Los Angeles we turned to trusty Yelp to find a moving company.

After some research and phone calls for quotes we decided on NorthStar Movers. With a 4.5 star rating based on 600 some reviews, we knew this company would be a great option. We read through both the good (which is the majority) and bad rated reviews. Not all moves go smoothly, but I can say we just finished our move and it couldn’t have gone any better.

Two movers arrived within the appointed time frame. When you schedule your appointment the dispatcher will provide you with a time frame when the movers will arrive. They also gave us a call right before letting us know they were on their way.

The movers who arrived were extremely professional and efficient. Majority of our stuff was already packed so once we let them know what needed to go they worked like a well oiled machine. We had some random items out (since we didn’t know what to do with them) and they even offered to help us pack them up.

The movers also came very prepared. They arrived in a 26 foot long truck filled with equipment that made the move more efficient. They had plenty of tape, shrink wrap, and boxes. The movers offered advice as well as I packed up last minute things.

The drive from our old place to our new place was also done in a timely manner. The unloading was just as easy as the loading. I had a desk in my car and they were able to transport that as well. None of our items were damaged in transport.

We couldn’t have done this move without NorthStar. When you have employees who are efficient and pleasant to work with, I can’t see you going wrong with this moving company. Highly recommended!
