It was so easy to work with NorthStar Moving from start to finish. I highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.
Great customer service, professional and respectful movers, and constant communication.
I requested a quote from multiple movers, and NorthStar replied via Yelp quickly. NorthStar’s rates are more competitive than other movers. I had a question so I called, and someone picked up the phone immediately. I didn’t have to punch in a few numbers to get connected to a person. The person was helpful and I booked NorthStar. An agreement was emailed to me immediately after I hung up, and I confirmed via email.
On moving day, the movers called me to give me their ETA. Unfortunately there were a few accidents, so they texted me to give me an updated ETA. I realize things come up and appreciated the update. They still arrived within the window.
The movers were professional and helpful. They brought materials and supplies. They wrapped up the furniture in blankets. They worked quickly loading and unloading. They asked us where boxes should be unloaded instead of just dumping then in the garage or random rooms. Nothing was damaged during the move.
All in all, they were great and I highly recommend them.

Edna Brewer Middle School would like to thank NorthStar Moving for their partnership with the Global Climate Action Summit and for donating their moving services to transfer items from the Moscone Center to Oakland after the event.
NorthStar Moving managed the delivery of the donation of over 4,000 sq. ft. of carpet and other materials to several Oakland area middle schools in order for them to perform upgrades to their facilities. As part of the overall sustainability plan for the Summit, these items were part of the post-event donation of materials to local schools. Reginald and his team of 3 guys were awesome. They were fast, courteous, funny, and careful with our belongings. I’d recommend them to anyone moving in the SF area and will definitely call them next time I move.
Husband says: these guys just helped us move. Really nice and friendly and fast. Called on Monday, moved on Thursday. Easy to communicate with, called me day of with an accurate arrival time. Packed up everything themselves nice and securely. Provided all packing materials and took care with everything. Will definitely use them again in a few months when we can move back to our apartment. Brandon and his team were awesome! We had booked an 8AM move but due to come complications with scheduling, the movers didn’t arrive until 4PM. Although unfortunate, Brandon came in with his team, apologetic and ready to get us packed up and moved quickly. Brandon was positive and professional, and made sure that we were happy throughout the move. Thew NorthStar team was very communicative through the scheduling process and was quick to followup with me over an issue that we ran into. Overall I will definitely consider Northstar for my next move (which will hopefully be years down the road!)

Arthur personally took the time and care to safeguard my belongings. He was very professional, methodic and showed great care. Another 5 star experience.
The crew from Pine Street were top notch. They were on time and very efficient. They carefully boxed up all stuff that one accumulated over 23 yrs.
Arthur, Bryant and Jose were great. They showed care and compassion with my stuff. It was great to have those guys make sure I knew what was going on. Paperwork was easy and they were curious to my crazy neighbors too.
I messaged the them through yelp and they responded so quickly and got everything confirmed right away. Edgar and his team were awesome from start to finish helping me move!! They called an hour before showing up and arrived at the time that was estimated. They got right to work and we’re much faster than I’ve ever seen movers in the past. We had a lot of stuff to move including boxes, furniture, lamps, and all kinds of random things but everything was moved into the truck in less than an hour. They also provided these really awesome hanger boxes for our clothes in the closet that made everything much smoother and quicker. Overall, professional and efficient movers that charged one of the best rates in the Bay Area. Highly recommend!!!

From the beginning, NorthStar was very professional. After messaging them on Yelp, Stephanie reached out by phone quickly and with a very reasonable low rate with a 2 hour minimum. She walked me through all the details and the process, and we were able to find a working time for us with a week’s notice.
There were some followup communications about insurance and to confirm the move date and time. I was given a range of 11am-4pm.
On move in day, I was given a call 1 hour before saying that they would show up at 11:15am. So very timely!

the guys were so wonderful. they showed up on time and worked very diligently. they didn’t dawdle around and weren’t even planning on taking a lunch break until i asked them to so i could buy a little time. they wrapped everything very carefully and well since all is going to long term storage. additionally, they took all my trash out to the dumpster without my asking. super workers, all of them. thanks so much.
I’m late posting this because unpacking with twins is hectic but Junior & crew were in charge of our move from the LAX area out to Victorville on the 10th & they were quick, pleasant, & 100% on top of everything! After a quick walk through to see what needed to go where they expertly packed & loaded everything & made it as stress-free as possible. Thanks so much to everyone that helped on our move! Easy website to navigate pre-booking. Fast, friendly service booking via phone. Easy to understand confirmation emails with all questions answered timely. Day of move: call prior to arrival as promised with ETA. Movers got started right away after walk through and explanation of charges. No surprises. Easy to work with team of three. They worked quickly and steady. No complaints at all. Furniture disassembled and wrapped as told it would be. Upload at other end went smoothly. Items unloaded on a timely fashion, furniture assembled and items placed where told. I would definitely recommend these movers!
The crew of William P., Jorge L., Victor & Jose A. did an excellent job with our move. They were really careful with all our furniture, and worked extremely efficiently — that was the biggest surprise for me, having hired movers before — to get everything taken care of. Very professional, and on time — no, actually they came early — just a great team. Company as a whole were awesome to deal with too. They were upfront and clear with all the costs. I called on Tuesday and was able to get a team for the following Sunday morning.

The team was punctual, fast, and polite – our move went very smoothly. They worked with us to make sure they got everything at our old place and that everything ended up where we wanted in the new one. We’re very grateful for their hard work!
Arthur, Kevin, and Jordan was the absolute the best. They were the bomb, I truly appreciate their promptness and their conversations. They were the best team I’ve experienced with great attitudes and making clients happy. We laughed hard. This was my first time experiencing a moving company and they were the best. I was so happy with there togetherness, dedication, and hard work. I recommend them to receive a bonus. If I have to move them, I would like the same three guys to come and move me. I felt really comfortable having them in my home and knowing the fact that you can work together as a team and still have fun. I know being in the downtown area made things a little hectic with parking, but they were able to make things work. I was in a pinch and wasn’t ready packing when Northstar showed up but these guys said it wasn’t a problem, jumped in, and helped out. Full service, great attitude, they have all the supplies you need. Logan, Ron, and Nick saved the day.
Setting up the move was very easy. The team was efficient and provided me with a reasonable quote
and excellent timing options.
On the day of the move Edgar and his team arrived on time and were very efficient. They wrapped all
our furniture in great detail and were very friendly and courteous. They also boxed many delicate items

As soon as I called Northstar someone friendly quickly picked up the call, which is always pleasant. Jason, a manager, was very friendly and scheduled a one pick up and two drop off job. The scheduling was fast and the rates were very good.
On the day of my move, the movers were on my way to my place and unfortunately ran into some unforeseen major traffic and rerouting due to a march on Market St. Jason reached me and we both realized it would be very difficult to get to my new place off of Market St. Therefore, he was able to get another crew to do it the very next morning. That was important as I needed to be out of my old place.
The pickup went smooth as the three man crew was friendly, organized, and worked hard. They didn’t even take a break. The first drop off went well as I asked if the movers could finish by a certain time as I had an important meeting and could not reschedule. They revved up and made the drop off in under an hour.
