This was our 3rd move within the last two years and the first time using movers. We moved from a 2bed, 2 bath in the East Bay (with stairs) to a 2 bed duplex in Sacramento. Our window to start was 8am-10am. I got a call at 7am asking if they could come at 7:30. Absolutely! Cory, Christian, and Coco arrived. They did a walk through first to make sure they knew what we wanted. After that they got right to work. The majority of our items were already boxed and in the garage but we still had many larger items that needed wrapped. They were careful and made sure everything was protected before packing it. We got to Sacramento in record time and they began unpacking after walking through the new place and getting a feel for what we wanted. We had labeled most of the boxes and put labels around the house so it made it very easy for them. They barely stopped moving (except for an occasional water break) despite the ridiculous heat. Cory, Christian, and Coco made the day very easy and stress free. I’d definitely recommend them!!

This was by far my best moving experience ever. It was my first time getting a not-to-exceed price. The quoted price was less than we expected, and we thought we were being clever – our move was scheduled for the first week in August and we thought any crew would be dragging their feet because of the heat. Well, guess what? The actual total came out to several hundred dollars less than the estimate. The crew showed up on time, they were careful with our stuff and the paint, and they actually put the boxes in the right rooms based on the labels. We are very happy. Thank you!
Edgar and crew helped us move this weekend and they were great through the whole process. Pricing was comparable or a bit lower vs some others we talked to but they provided more people to help out. Pretty thorough throughout – laying down plastic sheets in the new house to keep the carpet clean and such.
Moving can be extremely stressful, but not with Logan and his crew ( Eddie and Ron)! First thing Logan told me to do was rest and rage it easy since they had this covered. What a great way to reduce the stress. I started cleaning, while they were moving and then as I watched them pack up I thought, ” I should take his advice”, Bc my hard work starts after they leave. The crew was extremely thoughtful of my furniture and personal items. They were professional, polite and a pleasure to be around. These guys work so hard and deserve the positive recognition. The entire team was absolutely diligent, trustworthy, so polite and sweet. Most importantly, they were impeccable movers. Not a single thing broken or scratched or scuffed. I’m thoroughly impressed!

This is the third time I’ve used these guys and I keep going back to them because they always provide great service. I moved from a house to apartment this time, and the experience has been consistent.
These guys are quick, efficient and I’ve never had any issues with damaged property. I chose to pack most of my stuff, but they took the additional measures to make sure items were securely taped or furniture covered with protective sheets to ensure nothing got scratched or damaged.
The guys themselves are also super courteous (I was reminded several times that I wouldn’t be charged for any idle time).
Rates are really reasonable, too.

Great moving company. Ron came by and was very thorough and provided us with a very good quote. Then Logan and his team showed up on time and very polite. The team did a great job. They very careful to make sure everything was pack well to avoid any damages. They worked tirelessly throughout the day. I had spent much time looking for reliable movers. I had a few recommendations but they received F by business bureau. I then was recommended to NorthStar. Glad I was. My move was made in 2 phases and NorthStar handled perfectly. They did a great job in estimating and moving my fragile goods. NorthStar is the only company I would use to move. Everyone is so nice and professional. If you are having a hard time finding movers look no further.
Great experience from beginning to end. Customer service team asked all the right questions, recommended Gil come over to estimate the job. Gil was on time, thorough and spot on with his estimate. On the day of the move the team called to let me know what time they would arrive. The six man team lead by Ramiro were hard working, courteous and positive the entire time. They took two ten minute breaks in a pretty difficult move and informed us both times. Nothing was broken, no dirt or materials left behind. Thank you Gil, Ramiro and team.
Logan, Ronald, and Nick went above and beyond to help make my move as easy as possible. They were efficient, friendly, and took care of all my things. Wouldve taken me 2 days to fully move everything but they made it easy. Money well spent, would use Northstar again

I’m pretty new to this whole “grown-up” thing and so this is only the second time I’ve hired movers when moving residences. I was looking for a well-rated, relatively affordable, responsible, and careful moving company that would carry my little home from point A to point B. NorthStar absolutely is all of those things, and more.
The three movers who came were real pros. They were punctual, efficient, and communicated very well. When I asked if they’d make a stop to deliver some of my items to a third location, they were extremely accommodating. I felt bad for how many stairs there were involved in the process but they handled those stairs carefully and efficiently. They have the works – plastic wrap, wardrobe boxes, dollies, and blankets – to make sure nothing got dinged or scraped.
And! They were really fast! This is definitely a great moving company. I really don’t want to have to move again for a while but if I do, I’ll definitely be calling them again.

We had to move our small warehouse in early July. These guys did an excellent job handling 6 commercial size refrigerators even the there was no dock to unload. They were very helpful and handled any requests we had. I took the time to get their names to make sure they got recognized. The guys on our move were Jorge, Juan, Emanuel and Joe. I will use them on our next move too.
Lamar, from Northstar called to see if I could do my move an hour early. He and his crew arrived at the time he stated. They were friendly and professional. The guys wrapped my things & helped to pack the last remaining items. They were quick and moved efficiently. I am very happy with their service.
We’ve used NorthStar Moving Numerous time’s in the past and have always been pleased. However, today (one of the hottest weekends ever) we had the absolute pleasure of working with Albert, Lloyd and Kenneth. They showed up to our storage unit with great attitudes (despite the heat) and emptied it efficiently and quickly. Then, they had to climb up our long, steep driveway as their truck wouldn’t fit up it. They maintained their professionalism and finished the job faster than we expected. These guys know what they’re doing! I highly recommend them.
Wow! Great crew of people, fast, efficient, and non stop. We had them move from several places and they were awesome. I can’t emphasize how ridiculously efficient these people are, they emptied a 4 bedroom house with tons of heavy and large furniture in 2 hours and emptied a studio apartment in less than an hour (and we barely packed anything). They took care of everything, we just sat there like potatoes and watched. This has been the most stress free move I ever had. AND! unlike other companies, they won’t nickel and dime you for everything, if anything they probably rounded down for time. I’m really happy with this company and we’re definitely using them again!
Excellent service!!! Randy, aleinik, Aaron and Justin came right at time of appointment. They finished packing and uploading all my furnitures (one king size bed, two night stands, three couches, two dresser, a dinning table, a huge computer desk and a bunch of kitchen and bathroom supply) in 2 hours! After getting to the new place, everything was offloaded and place in my new place perfectly! Excellent work! Highly recommend!
Moving across the state can be tough. Especially finding a legitimate moving company on top of it all. Thankfully, I did enough research to find NorthStar. It is a legitimate company. They were very professional, punctual and careful with our belongings. I admire how they wrapped everything nicely and finished at the time they said they would. Northstar team has been super easy to deal with along the whole process. When I contacted them through Yelp, Stephanie immediately gave me a call and asked me about the situation. When I explained to her that I need to move only a few pieces（ mattress, desk, cabinet, leather chair and a few small items) and my new address is right across the street!(less than 2 mins away) , she went further to speak to her supervisor to give me a fixed rate for move. Since July is moving season, I went back and forth with her on the appointment times and she’s been super flexible with the changes. She gave me a 3 hour time span from 11am-3pm; and when I told that I prefer the earlier end of the time span, she put in a note for me.
When the moving team came on the July 3, they honored the quote to come earlier and moved everything in a fast and secure way. They carried their own supplies from boxes to wrapping tapes, and nicely covered all my items. We got everything ready to go within an hour of time!

Very happy choosing NorthStar for my move. Kenneth, Tavon, and Louis were fun to be around while working as fast, smart, and efficiently as possible. We moved from Venice beach so parking was such a hassle and also traffic coming in and out of there was horrible. But the guys did such a smooth transition from A to B. Would highly recommend these guys again.
Just completed our move that took a total of 5.5hrs. These guys are very professional. Started the move on time. Did not take any break. Wrapped everything with great care. Our destination has a lot of stairs and it was quite some work getting all the furniture in the right rooms. They didn’t complain at all and got everything finished up on time. We would highly recommend them and definitely hire them again
