I was very pleased with this moving company. They were friendly and on time, very fast and efficient movers and great rate. One guy of the three wasn’t able to come and the foreman gave me a fiat discount. The movers were all very polite and nice.
They were careful with our items not to damage anything. Excellent insurance policy as well. They are full service, so can do everything from packing to installing furniture or as much as you wish. They were very fast with installing our furniture all in less than 60min.

NorthStar Moving did a great job moving us from our Inner Richmond 2nd floor apartment to a two story Outer Sunset house. The movers were professional and friendly. They handled tight stair turns with large furniture. That included a beast of an armoire. We needed as much help as possible because we have a two month old baby. The movers played to our weaknesses and were nice to the baby. He move went so smoothly that the baby slept almost through the 5.5 hour move. I recommend NorthStar for your move and will use them again in the future.

Deon and his team helped my sister moved today and it couldn’t have gone better. The team arrived prompted, loaded everything and unloaded quick even though it was a long walk through the apartment building. Everyone on the team was great and very nice. I called the day before I was supposed to move. I used their online chat to get a quote. The person on the chat was m very friendly and explained the whole process to me. There were no hidden charges or fees. I was given a 2-hour window in which the moving crew would arrive. They arrived 15 minutes before the time and call before they arrived to make sure I was ready. The crew was very professional, trust with their companies t-shirts. They took good care in that wrapping up some of my items so they would not get damaged. Jesse and his team helped us move within San Francisco today. It was definitely one of the easiest move we’ve done. They are extremely professional and fast. They loaded my entire room in just over an hour. None of my stuff was damaged. They also helped us pack and disassembled some furnitures. We didn’t really have to do anything at all. They are also very friendly and nice people. Overall, my moving experience has been excellent. We would definitely use their services again.

This time I moved from my Potrero apartment over to Mission Bay and was delighted by the service I received from Edgar, Isael Carlos, & Rodolfo. They showed up on time, were super friendly and got the job done with lightning speed and a smile the entire time. The destination was a bit tricky and they navigated right through a challenging load-in situation without any issues. I had a bunch of very large items, and was afraid no one would be able to get them down my narrow stairs! A great option for anyone with heavy appliances to move. Edgar, Carlos and Isael knocked out what I thought would be a huge task in under an hour. The three hour minimum is a little rough, but overall I’m very happy with the outcome.
Andy and his crew of: Cesar, Emanuel, Christian, Ronaldo, Alberto, and Eddie were amazing. They were on time, moved quickly and handled everything with extreme care. We had two days of moving, 7 workers and two trucks. I would absolutely refer anyone to use them!! I’m so pleased with how the move went and they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. This was the third time that I have hired North Star Moving for a local move (2009, 2014, and 2018). The crew this time — Pablo, Jimmi, and Luis Pedro arrived a little before 9:00 a.m. on May 26. These young men were personable and attentive to our us and our move. As we’d done in the past to streamline the process, we had made several trips back and forth to carry clothing items, breakables, computer equipment, etc., to the new condo. We had already boxed up move everything else except for the furniture. The crew, once we’d walked them through the (former) apartment to show what was going, they started right in wrapping up the furniture and loading/removing the boxes. Once everything was packed, it was nearing lunch time so the guys took their lunch break and then met us at the new location. Luckily, the security staff directed us to a gate at the back of the property for unloading. This saved lots of walking (and time) for the crew to unload our belongings. At the end of the day, an estimated 6.75 hrs + packing materials, the bill was $1,060 (plus tip)….a couple hundred dollars more than we’d expected to pay, but were prepared to pay in cash nonetheless. North Star offered a 5% discount for paying in cash, so every little bit helps. In closing, we would recommend North Star for anyone looking for a good, reliable local mover. Oh, I can’t forget, Alma in their office was very prompt and helpful in getting me a quotation and scheduling the move on our preferred moving date. We’ll likely contact North Star Moving first the next time we need to move.
This is the 4th time we’ve used the company. Every time, great experience. We just moved today, and the guys worked fast. They were careful with all the items, and did a really good job. They had a great sense of humor, and they figured it out whenever there was an issue.
I hired NorthStar to help me with my move from LA to Seattle. Both the guys picking up and the two people delivering were super efficient, professional, and friendly. The four individuals picking up my boxes and items also helped me wrap up bigger pieces of furniture. Support staff on the phone were accommodating for my multiple date changes and were always there to answer questions. My stuff arrived here earlier than expected, which is a plus. The only issue I had with the company was the initial quote given to me after they picked up my items (although the cost ended up being WAY lower)–I wish there was more transparency or clearer explanation for why the initial quote was so much higher than what I ended up being charged for.
Moving is always stressful. I hate it, you hate it. Finding a legit moving company is essential. Northstar Moving company is hands down the best. From set-up with the quote and discussing logistics to the actual move…Everything went as planned. Amazing It just feels too easy. These guys came in and hustled from the get go. Wrapped up things I didn’t think needed to be wrapped. Asked questions and didn’t assume what’s going where or whats’s staying or going. They moved so quick I had to ask if they were planning to take breaks! Top it off, each guy was personable and respectful. When it’s time to move, these are the folks to call!!!

Like many, I wasn’t as packed as I would have liked but this team of five was amazing. Specifically, Ramiro, Andy, Christian, James, and Reyhaldo moved my family from a three-story town-home to a two-story house with ease. This is my second time using NorthStar to move, the first time from San Jose to Sunnyvale, this time from Sunnyvale to San Francisco. Props to the company in general for two easy movies both of which ended up costing less than the original estimate. This team today, lead by Edgar, was on time, friendly, professional, and fast. They got in and out of my place and then in and out of my boyfriends place (two pick-up spots) and then moved us in to our new apartment. No real issues, though for context it was a very easy move with only minor furniture. There was one minor issue with the leg of a mirror but we were reimbursed and all is well. 🙂

I have used NorthStar for the past 14 years and over six moves and referred them numerous times. The reason being is what they quote is what I pay, they are fair, they are very careful and NOTHING has been damaged in all of my moves. They have to be sick if my marble tables;). Called to get a quote and they actually reduced their price to match a lower quote I received which was great. Pablo’s and his team came between the hours I had scheduled. They gave me a call about an hour a head of time before they arrived to give me a heads up. As soon as they came they started right away and finished pretty quickly. Got to our new house a little before I arrived and started unloading asking us where everything needed to be placed before they started moving. If you are looking for a quick and professional service to avoid the gassed of moving I would recommended using NorthStar.
