This company is great!! It’s very helpful for this company to let you know of certain deals that can be included in Groupon when calling to ask for any information. On the day I was moving the movers that came to do everything were fast and reliable. All three men ( Logan,Martin, and Jorge) were all of great help! If anything was going on, each one of them made sure to let me know if anything was wrong. The morning that they came, they came to my house earlier than expected, which was nice for that fact that it made my day go by quicker. From packing and moving everything, they working ethic was efficient, respectable and quick. I’m happy with my experience from the company and the great employees that did all the extremity hard working job! I can’t say it enough, thank you !!!! I know if I ever need anything, I feel sure enough to call this company back for a job well done.
We were moving from Pacifica to San Mateo. When I called the moving company to get a quote they recommended me different Moving Day that was available at a lower cost which was awesome. Secondly we just had a baby so we had a hard time getting everything ready and packed. They were able to help us pack our entire one-bedroom apartment quickly considering we didn’t have anything packed. They made sure to communicate about everything. I found the movers to be friendly, hard-working, and efficient. Everything was packed well and unloaded with care. We had an issue with the neighbors calling the police because of the moving trucks positioning. The movers were kind enough to move the truck on their own before the police arrived and were very polite to the neighbors. When the police arrived, the movers were polite and professional and there were no issues whatsoever. We would recommend these Movers to anybody that needs a good job done.
Headline: Great experience. Context: I hate moving and my boyfriend even more so. Every time we’ve moved in the past we get into a huge fight. It’s most my fault but that’s beside the point (im working on it). The point is for this first time we did not get into a fight and it’s all because of the nice gentlemen at NorthStar movers. They made it feel a lot less stressful. They packed up all of our things, wrapped them in a ton of paper so they wouldn’t damage our fragile items. Even had good conversation during packup and packout.

Moving first time and excellent service by Eric, Carlos and Tony. Super courteous and very very professional. All stuff moved to new house without any damage and installed as expected. Back office support by Julie and Alice was fantastic and they provided all the documents for HoA on time. Very happy and recommended for anyone looking to move.

Great experience! I called NorthStar after reading so many great reviews. I needed to move within 2 days with no notice, so I was concerned about being able to find any movers in time. Amazingly they were able to come out the next day in the afternoon. I received a call ahead of time, so i knew when they would arrive. Edgar, Noe, and Augustine did a great job. They packed up and wrapped everything quickly and efficiently. I am very happy with the prompt and careful service! I will definitely use them again.
Easiest move of my life! The team was very efficient. I had Jesse and Isaac, they were great. They packaged everything carefully and made sure nothing was damaged. They wrapped my TV and sensitive electronics with padding so I didn’t have to do anything. I suck at packing and had a bunch of miscellaneous stuff left over, but they were able get everything packed up for me. The move was super quick and we only needed the minimum time. I moved a 1 bedroom from SF to the peninsula and the total time everything took including travel was 2.5 hours. Overall very pleased with their service and will recommend them to my friends and family.
North Star moving was absolutely awesome. They arrived at the very beginning of the window they gave us for the day. We did full service and they helped us pack up absolutely everything in the apartment (minus the liquids, which was totally fine). Moving in the city can be very tricky and they were experts at helping us navigate the streets and alleys to help accommodate traffic but still get everything done efficiently. Super friendly and helpful. Would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone.
Reviewing JR, Daniel, and Dominic – I have been meaning to write this for some time. We moved a couple of weeks ago and geez these guys worked their tail off! Unfortunately it was 3rd floor to 3rd floor – from Santa Clarita to Irvine – but not once did they complain or stop working. If we do have to move again (which I hope not for some time) we will use NorthStar movers and we will ask for this group. Nothing was damaged either during the move, which is more than I could say for our initial move to California. Great job!
Best moving company I’ve used in the Bay Area. The coordination for setting up the move is very efficient and customer friendly. I moved from a 1 bedroom 3rd floor apartment with no elevators. They called me over an hour early to give me a good heads up. The moving guys showed up promptly and started working immediately. They were professional, hard working, and trustworthy. The moving process went smoothly. They got a little lost to my new apartment but did what was right and only charged for what time it should have taken. Again, they’re very honest and did not try to sneak in any extra charges that other moving companies have used in me in the past. The cost was very competitive and I saved a lot of money by moving on a off day for $129/hr.
They do offer a 5% discount if paid by cash or you can use their yelp deal (can’t use both). It was better for me to use the yelp deal. They also took off materials fees if posting a review on Angie’s List.

NorthStar is a fantastic moving service. I’ve used their services twice now, and it’s been incredibly smooth both times. Requesting a quote and setting up a time slot is quick and painless. Their teams are great. Juan and his team were friendly, courteous, professional, and extremely efficient. Would definitely ask for these guys again next time!
This is the best moving company we’ve ever used. The guys showed up on time and ready to go. The team was super professional and Logan runs a very efficient operation. They handled our furniture with care and wrapped up a few larger painting/prints we had expertly. They finished faster than expected, which was great. Would highly recommend and use again in the future!
My husband and I recently used NorthStar to help us move about 30 miles. From inquiry to appointment scheduling to move day, the NorthStar associates were punctual and professional. I was worried that a company charging by the hour might overcharge, but they were very efficient. All in all we paid for 4 hours (there’s a 3 hour minimum). I think this was fair and the cost was reasonable as well. Would definitely recommend this company.
Jesse, Isaac, Hitham, and Mark were fantastic with our move on 2/16 in Mountain View They we’re extremely careful and considerAte of our furniture. My wife being 8 months pregnant they made sure she would not lift a finger. They didn’t waste time and were extremely efficient. The unloading was the same well Co ordinated and quick. Helped assemble some furniture and happily put felt tabs on the bottom of all to make sure it didn’t affect our wood floors. They placed things in the appropriate rooms and were constantly smiling through the whole process. They probably the friendly movers I have met. I would highly recommend them and we would definitely hire them again for our next move.

I would highly recommend this moving company. This is the second time I’ve used them for moves throughout California. They have great customer service. They took the time to carefully wrap all of my items to prevent damage. Upon arriving at my new place, they unwrapped all furniture and ensured everything was in the location I was looking for. They moved my entire apartment from the Tenderloin to a storage unit in SOMA in LESS THAN 2 HOURS. including drive time. William is the pro at Tetris. He made my entire life fit in a storage unit. I have used NorthStar 4 times now. Each time has been amazing. My last move was more complicated than the rest. We had items sent to their storage and 2 separate homes. Great move today with Pablo, Luis and Alberto. They worked efficiently and managed to move all of my stuff without any damage. They arrived on time and worked super fast! They provided moving materials. They disassembled and reassembled everything perfectly. I would definitely recommend them to friends, family, coworkers, or anyone else.
