Ron with Northstar is the most professional mover I’ve ever worked with. He calls back when he says he will and provided the most accurate and detailed quote I’ve ever received from a moving company. I knew exactly what to expect from the moving crew and there were no surprises at the end. Jorge and Jose were my movers. They called 30 min prior to arrival and arrived approximately 10 minutes before the scheduled appointment. They moved my one bedroom apartment from downtown LA to Santa Ana within 6 hours all was moved into its rightful place. They locked the truck between trips to/from the downtown location as my neighborhood wasn’t the safest. None of my things were damaged and on top of that, they were pleasant people too. I highly recommend using NorthStar for all your moves!

The moving crew was very polite and made the move swift and easy, despite some of the furniture being bulky (an IKEA desk had to be taken apart to fit through the door, and they reassembled it for me at my new location), looks good as new. Unloading the furniture was easy, I just pointed and told them where to put everything and it got done no problem. Northstar moving company was great! Answered my call right away, made an appointment for me, and had great communication. On the day of the move, the movers were right on time. They even called me half an hour before they arrived. They packed everything efficiently and without damage. They made it to our location quickly, and unloaded everything efficiently and without damage. They were great movers, very polite! I am very happy I found North Star Movers. Our move was a little bit of a long one, but they did it and it was a very easy process! I have never used a mover before, and I’m glad I chose Northstar!
I love this moving company! This is the second time I have used NorthStar for a move and once again, they did not disappoint. The crew was on time, efficient and helped us organize/box the chaos that we couldn’t wrangle ourselves. They took the upmost care of all of our items and everything arrived in perfect condition. The guys were all professional, kind and easy going – the best combination for stressful situations! I cannot recommend NorthStar enough. This is at least my 4th time working with Northstar Moving, including a big move up the state. I’ve always been impressed with the team! They are very friendly, careful with my special items, and work very hard. I had some extremely fragile antique pieces and they used such care in wrapping the items so that even the tiniest intricate detail was protected. They helped me arrange the furniture in the new space and patiently worked with me as I needed to rearrange one more two times in order to make it all fit. They communicated regularly to let me know their progress and if they had any concerns about anything. They transferred a very heavy upright piano that I was really nervous about moving, and it made it through the move unscathed. Thank you for another smooth, seamless move! Couldn’t be happier with the move from NorthStar. They were really easy and straightforward in setting it up. Then on moving Day they were prompt, courteous and took extra care with all of our things. All the furniture was wrapped professionally in blankets. And they brought extra boxes in tow.

Just finished my third move with NorthStar movers! I’ve used NorthStar to move from South Bay to SF, and from apartments within SF. Setting up an appointment is very simple with their online quotation form, and representatives are very prompt to reply. The movers have always been very timely and professional. This past move they were extremely helpful with packing up odds and ends that I ran out of my own boxes for! Appreciated them moving all my stuff up three flights of stairs! Would definitely recommend to a friend. Thanks guys!
Can’t recommend NorthStar enough! They did a fabulous job moving our 2 bedroom apartment to our new home. The pre-move communication was exceptional: Gloria and team called and emailed regularly to confirm specifications and arrival of the move. The crew meticulously wrapped each furniture item so as to maintain the cleanliness and prevent scratching. We had a few items that were quite heavy and the team of 3 handled them all. We had a few special requests regarding areas we wanted to move ourselves and they were conscientious to honor our requests. We received the recommendation to use NorthStar Moving Company for our move and I would gladly recommend NorthStar to anyone in need of a moving company with excellent service.
Fast efficient move, no problems. Pablo and Co wrapped up my stuff and disassembled and reassembled my IKEA furniture like pros. They were also happy to move many items which I didn’t pack very well.

Just moved today with North Star. They were great! Super efficient and friendly and they packed up my stuff really quickly! Everything was wrapped up well and they even got to my place early too. I’ve actually had my stuff moved with them before and will probably use them again the next time I move!
I had a good experience with Northstar with a local move several years ago, so I decided to hire Northstar again for my move across country from LA. My move started off rocky in LA, and ended with several issues, problems and challenges. After my move was completed I confronted the driver on several of these issues only to be left extremely frustrated and seeing that the conversation with the driver is not going anywhere.
Good news: I decided to call Northstar to bring up a lot of the issues that came up during my move and my conversation with the the driver. They listened and helped me work through all of the major issues I encountered during my move.
If I could give advise to anyone who encountered problems during their move: Call Northstar directly to let them know what happened and what’s going on. As long as it’s logical and makes sense, they’ll listen and try their best to help you out.

We hired Northstar to move our furniture and most of our belongings to our new apartment (moving from Hollywood to Palms). These guys arrived promptly, were good sports trying to figure out where to park on our narrow and busy street, were very professional and personable, and most importantly moved everything SO FAST! I was amazed and grateful for their hard work. I thought they were great value and well worth it to move our entire apartment in only 3.5 hours.
Darwin, Lezayme and Joe are the best! They arrived on time, were friendly and professional, moved very quickly. My furniture was blanket wrapped, the tv boxes I had trouble closing they finished taping, everything arrived intact. Moved from Pleasanton to Alameda, up a flight of stairs, 4 1/2 hours total. This was my 14th move and I wish they were the movers each time. Highly recommend this company.

Pablo, Moses and Brandon were the most amazing guys! They got our move done so fast and not a single broken item! They are also very very nice guys and had fun while they worked. Very professional as well. I cannot day enough amazing things about these guys!!! I have used NorthStar in the past and will continue to use them for all my moving needs. Incredible movers from start to finish. Initial conversation was straight forward, via email and then phone. Simple rates, no hidden fees or strange add-ons. Just one all inclusive hourly rate. On top of that, they were extremely competitive in their pricing and extremely fast in their response times. They were also able to accommodate a relatively short booking time – we needed them within 2 weeks.
The movers came on time, were efficient, patient, and professional in every way. Each mover went above and beyond in how they worked and how careful they were with our items.
We have a large home, and a lot of items, and the guys worked their butts off for 12+ hours.

Incredible company! You might have read my bad review of this company that I left 3 days ago because my package got lost and there was a misunderstanding in terms of the investigation. But, soon after, when WENDY contacted me and started her investigation, she found it within few hours! Remarkable! She put the image of the company at risk by calling all of the customers who had deliveries before mine to find out if they possibly had my package. And guess what, one of the customers did have my package!
As with any big move, there is always a risk of misplacement of a little box, no matter what company you hire. But, its good to remember our own mistakes at work and realize that those people delivering our things are just as human, meaning that they have the same capability to make mistakes.
So, rather than judging a company based on its mistakes, its better to judge it by HOW it resolves them. For it is easy to stay friendly and helpful when there are no issues, no mistakes. But, NorthStar moving is even MORE efficient, helpful and caring when mistakes do occur. I felt like my situation was truly their priority and now that i’ve had this “bad” turned good experience, I can say that I trust this company 100%! No matter what happens, they WILL resolve it.
As you can see, each bad review of this company has a response that exemplifies mistakes being in process of being fixed. That’s in no way fallacious. It’s rather a tiny glimpse into the true care that this company provides to all its costumers. After all, we never know the true story of one’s situation. I almost forgot to delete my bad review after things were quickly resolved, for instance!
But, I believe that incredible work should be recognized and rewarded. This moving company is the best and I recommend it to anyone!
