Highly recommend! NorthStar movers were excellent communicators from the start and all round this was the best move experience of my life. Roger, Cory and Jason (our moving crew) were friendly, careful and fast. They took extra care in packing all our furniture to keep it protected. Great 4 man crew sent to me today to move out of current rental and into another. Very professional and friendly too. Took great care with all furniture and boxes. Didn’t leave a mess for me to clean up like other companies I have worked with.

They did an awesome job! AND were the most affordable company we got a quote from. Roger, Jose and Tony were fast professional, and very careful with our furniture, walls, and floors. We hired them on the recommendation of friends who also had a great experience. We had two pickup locations on the way to our new place, which they handled smoothly — even though I live on a narrow street and they had to park around the corner. I was grateful that they brought moving blankets, extra tape, and boxes. They also helped us get everything situated in our new place. Would highly recommend!

We are now 2/3 through our experience with Northstar and I’ve experienced enough already to confidently say they are worth all 5 stars.
Our local move (Valley Village to Chatsworth) had to be handled in three stages: 1. recording studio, 2. household, 3. POD unloading.
So far, we have finished numbers 1 & 2 and both have gone beautifully. We are fully expecting part 3 to go as smoothly. Each crew arrived exactly when they said they would — in fact, they all arrived at the early end of the arrival window. They were careful and thoughtful with our belongings, and listened attentively to my instructions on delicate and important items.
We actually had them pack a bit of our house during the household move. We were overwhelmed by the amount of packing to be done, but the office reassured me that the crew would pack anything we didn’t do ourselves. I was skeptical – who would want to pack someone else’s stuff? – but I put my trust in them and sure enough, they did pack up the rest of our house for us!
For reference: we had a 2400 sq. ft., 3 bedroom house, which they packed into the truck from 9am to 1:30pm. They took a lunch break before arriving at the new house by 3:00. It took about 3 hours to unload the same truck. In all, 9 hours total to pack, load, and unload. (They broke down all the beds and then built them at the new house)
It’s important to note that we were given a “not to exceed” estimate for each job and neither one even came close to the price they quoted. Always lower. We were relieved. Moving is stressful enough, you don’t need the added financial strain when it comes time to pay all your contractors.
I highly recommend NorthStar Moving Co.. And we won’t hesitate to hire them even for small moving jobs from now on.

Dennis and his team were great and were super professional. Wendy at the office also took great care of us afterwards making sure we were happy with everything. Ron came and estimated the cost of our move and it came out less so that’s always great news! We highly recommend this company!

Today I had NorthStar Moving transfer my furniture and boxes out of storage to my new home. The team leader was Danis Canas and his associates were Eric Castillo and Juan Rodriguez. They were efficient, professional, on time and very careful with my things – three very nice guys!. I would highly recommend them and would hire them again in a heartbeat for any and all moving needs.

My fiancé and I had the absolute best moving experience ever with NorthStar moving company. We had the challenge to move from a one bedroom on the 10th floor in SF to a 3 story townhouse in San Jose. The movers helped us so much and the price was spot on. Worth every penny and would use them again in an instant!

Excellent service. Very prompt and professional. We had a water emergency in the building I manage and NorthStar was able to take care of my tenant’s unexpected move with very little advanced notice. Thanks to them, what would’ve otherwise been a very stressful experience, was handled flawlessly. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again.
Northstar was great. We were feeling stressed and under prepared for our move from the mission to Noe valley. They arrived right when they said they would, came in and immediately got to work. They packed everything carefully, loaded things logically, and in about two hours had taken apart furniture, packed, and loaded the entire contents of my two bedroom apartment. A quick trip later, they had things unpacked and reassembled in the new place, with no damage to the house or the possessions. Friendly, direct, and courteous the entire time, they made a stressful day much easier. Would definitely recommend.
I move a lot. A LOT (thanks Bay Area high prices and low quality rentals!). This last move though, I was basically a trash fire. I was sick, unprepared, and strapped for time, and my apartment (which I normally like have to have packed and ready to go for movers) was a chaotic nightmare hellscape. Thank you to Jessie, Carlos, and Will for getting me and my husband through it (and for not throttling him even though I offered when he was being particularly annoying, lol). They were friendly, fast, and had an unending amount of patience even though I’m sure it was a much longer day and a much bigger job than they anticipated.

Tomas and his team were amazing! I highly recommend you request these guys when booking NorthStar Moving Company. They quickly packed, carried and unloaded all of my belongings and didn’t nickel and dime me. Don’t plan to move again anytime soon, but if I did I would call these guys!
