Moving day is always stressful. This year I decided to bare the expense and hire movers. I chose NorthStar Movers and got a crew of Daniel; Ruben & Abraham. Those 3 guys were AMAZING!!! 2-bedroom apartment in DTLA which we packed but wow I had a lot of stuff after spending 3 years in that place. But those guys came in; were professional; moved my items with care and were very personable. Once we got to my new place also in DTLA they unpacked and help me set up my bed and arranged some furniture. These guys are awesome. If ever need to move; NorthStar is the business the process was smooth from start to finish. Very appreciative of their effort!

Vatche and his crew were on time, handled our equipment safely and were friendly on the job. As a professional film/tv music studio, we needed an A-list moving company sensitive to expensive equipment and being on the Warner Brother’s lot. They were attentive to packing specific parts of the studio together for ease on the unpacking end, where they were there to unpack for us. This was our first choice moving company and next choice as we had a good deal also. The whole crew was willing to jump in and go the extra mile so we felt safe with our equipment in their hands. The crew’s truck was far larger and more equipped than we could’ve thought so there was no worry of damaged equipment at all. 5 stars to the crew and to the company!!
This is the second time I have used NorthStar moving. I had a great experience the first time and this time has been no different. Vatche and his team was amazing! First of all he took apart and re put back my bed perfectly! Secondly he made sure all my other furniture was packed and kept from getting dinged or broken! Also they moved all my bulky furniture effortlessly. Another thing is that I have light carpet and was worried that there would be some marks. Nothing!!! They made sure to not track anything in! They were on time and quick!!! I will always recommend and utilize northstar for all my moving!!
My sixth move with Northstar. I’m obviously a happy customer. What impressed me about these guys is how well they communicated with each other and worked as a team. That communication is why they’re safer, quicker and more creative than other movers I’ve worked with in the past. 5 stars – well deserved.

Man…where do I start… these three guys Jonathan,Michael and Parun came in and got the job done! They by far are all around the best movers. They make sure your stuff is completely secure as well as make sure everything is the way you want it before they leave. I had some great convos with these guys and even lended a helping hand. They were the most polite individuals from start to finish and were on task the whole time. I don’t know what else good I can say about these guys man. They even took the time out to say what’s up to my dog man! The most professional and well organized machine when it comes to moving. If anyone want to move in California, I would definitely recommend these guys first, second and any other time! I’ve moved a lot in the past, approximately 20 times so far in my lifetime, and I usually try to do everything myself (with the occasional family, friend, or home depot bystanders). But this time I decided to employ a moving company since my family has grown to 5 people (3 kids) and the amount of stuff and level effort has grown well beyond my own capability to do it myself. We moved from a 2 bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor, and prior to hiring movers I had transported as much of the smaller items in our apartment as I could so that all that was left was furniture, refrigerator, cabinets, and heavier items I could not transport myself. North Star Moving Company did a great job with their services. First contact with Gabriella over the phone was pleasant as she provided a comprehensive summary of their services and costs and what was to be expected. The movers (David, Wilbur, and William) were hard working and arrived within the 2-hour arrival window and the move took 6 hours (including 2 hours “double drive time” from Alhambra to Norwalk). They furniture padded and plastic wrapped everything and nothing was damaged during transport. It helps to disassemble furniture and box up as much as possible prior to the move to save time. The cost of hiring movers is much greater than doing it yourself and renting a U-Haul, however the time, effort, headaches, and body aches saved justifies the cost. I had purchased the Yelp coupon and forgot to redeem it during payment, however I called a few days later and Gabriella was happy to apply the coupon and refund me a portion of the cost. Overall, great experience and happy to be settled at our new residence in order to write this review. I will never attempt another “do it yourself” move again.
Great job at moving us guys! We stored everything in Chatsworth for several months after my mom passed away. We needed some time to figure out our next steps before our next move and Gwen we finally did we called up NorthStar and they sent us an all star moving team led by Vatche and his two guys. Vatche was excellent and kept a detailed inventory of all of our belongings. They treated us like royalty and all of our furniture and personal effects was pristine and in great condition.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend northstar but I would be sure to request Vatche if you call them. He’s solid.

Today’s move was outstanding! Vatche, Abraham, and Shawn were professional, nice and efficient! Unfortunately, my move was reschedule 3 times due to the fact my new home was under construction, and this team worked me each time I had to revise my move date. They arrived on time, boxed all my stuff, and got it into the truck in record time! They took the time to ensure my stuff was secure and safe! I highly recommend them and NorthStar!!!
Anthony, Jonathan and Lewis were killing it all morning! They took delicate care of all our expensive furniture, wrapping it up properly with padding. They were quick, efficient and all had great attitudes. If I could choose the movers again I would ask for this crew.
NorthStar was awesome for our local move. They showed up on time and had a great hustle. Didn’t complain at all about the stairs on the other side though I know bringing all our boxes of books up was not fun. They were professional and helpful. Wrapped our furniture and brought wardrobe boxes.

I’m so glad I called Northstar! They helped us with our move to our new home. An estimator came by a few days before. The day of the move, 5 guys came with a huge truck, all the equipment and supplies. The 5 guys were: Randy, CJ, Sergio, Edwin and Matt! They were all nice, professional, and really cool and funny guys! They helped pack up all of our stuff, wrapped all our furniture and our plants! They were all so easy to work with and all of our belongings went to our new home undamaged. They worked so hard and fast and it was a Sunday! We will definitely call Northstar again for our moving needs! Thank you and God bless!!!

This is the first time I use Northstar Movers. There are three movers coming, David,Manny, and Jimmy,right on time and ready to go. They prepared detailed contract and tell me all the fees. Everything is pretty straightforward. They are very very fast! In one hour, my apartment was almost empty. Their efficiency saved me a a lot of money and time. I really appreciate that. Larry Oliver and his team from NorthStar moving were awesome. They truly helped me and wife complete a move that seemed daunting at first. With their professional attitude and attention to details the were able to safely and effectively move us faster than I thought it it would take. We hope to not have to move for years but when we do NorthStar will be our first call.

Vatche and his team from their Santa Clarita office were on time, professsional and careful with all our belongings. They were attentive to where I wanted the items to go. My hubby and I hardly did anything since they were the ones that did all the work.
I was very cautious as I’ve had bad moving companies in the past, but trusted the other reviews on yelp and booked Northstar for a local move of a 3 bedroom house in Scottsdale. Here are the key points I wanted to share:
– The team showed up on time within the two hour window I was given. The lead called me about an hour before they were going to arrive, and then again about 15 minutes before they got to my home.
– The move went great, and without any problems. Jay, Lupe, and Ronnie all did a fantastic job.
– The pricing was fair. They provided the price list all up front which was an hourly rate + materials in my case. They offered to do a not to exceed estimate up front, but I declined since I was confident we could do it all in a half day. They did not attempt to gauge me with additional costs, and the final price was very close to what I estimated it at.
– The corporate office called me twice to make sure everything was going well – once in the middle of the move to make sure there was anything that needed to be changed (there wasn’t) and once after it was done to make sure everything went as expected (it did).

These guys earned every penny! Deon and Jorge were the best! They were always smiling and happy, not to mention very accommodating. They went above and beyond the call of duty, helping out with things that were not in their “job description”! They really made the move bearable. I really didn’t want to go through another move (transitions, you know) but it had to be done and they made it as painless as possible! I highly recommend Northstar Movers and please ask for Deon and Jorge. And tell them Laurie, Bruce, And Logan say hi! These guys are great, you won’t be disappointed, I promise!
Larry, CJ, Matt helped me move all my furnitures and packages and put them in the new house as if they were in the old one. They are fast, careful and professional. Really friendly guys. If I will move to a new place next time, NorthStar is my first choice if available.

We used north star movers for our move yesterday and we had a great time.
The movers were very late due to a truck breaking down on another job, but they were kind and communicative about it, and gave us a discount on the move because we had to wait so long.
Once they arrived, the movers were fast, efficient, and knew what they were doing. They were funny and easy to work with.

this entire company was top notch from start to finish. i called in an emergency situation and they managed to sqeeze me in THE NEXT DAY!!!!!! they got the entire move done in FOUR HOURS!!!!! i would recommend these folks to absolutely anyone.
Great service all over. From the estimating stage where Gil came in and saw everything to the final details. Moving a 2 bedroom house full of baby stuff into a new house took 6 hours. Randy the foreman was great too. Asking where we want everything and getting it to fit.
