Having moved several times, I was a bit concerned and was wondering what this last move was going to be like. It’s always difficult to know which company will be the right one.
From my initial call, in house estimate, follow up calls from NorthStar confirming dates and even when I had to move the date up a day, it was all done professionally, and they provided me with confidence that things were going smoothly.
On the day of the move, I received a call from the crew that they were on their way which was reassuring. Upon arrival, I met with the lead crew member, went over a few details and then did a tour of the house with the entire crew explaining any necessary instructions. Everyone was courteous, helpful and very efficient. My first impression was how fast things were going and how my belongings were being handled with care.
The crew finished in less time that was estimated, so of course,I was pleased to have saved not only my moving expense but my own personal time to start getting settled in.
My crew consisted of Ivan G., J.R.L, Josh, Anthony, Bryan and Juan. A fantastic, hard working team! Thank you, guys, you are the best!!!!

These guys had a great deal, they were very professional, courteous, and all around good dudes. I would totally hire them again and I would totally recommend them to anyone, anytime. They are also a green company, which is a total bonus.
Today was my first day working with Northstar. And I have to say they were great. Quick, efficient and lots of detail labeling while they were packing up. Not to mention they were right on time at 8am. Call them!

They were awesome! The forecast for our move was rain and wind. They showed up on time, we’re super efficient and really helpful at minimizing the rain and dirt getting trafficked into our new home. Made a move in pouring rain seamless. Highly recommend.

NorthStar Movers were great! I had to reschedule my move several times but they were always very understanding about changing the date and super flexible. In addition, the contract / confirmation email was clear and straightforward. Then before moving day, I received confirmations and updates on when I should expect the movers.
All 3 movers were very nice, professional, and fast. When setting up the furniture in the new place, they kindly asked where everything should go instead of just leaving it all in a haphazard manner. Much appreciated! A few things were slightly damaged in the move, but I chalk that up to IKEA furniture — I don’t think there’s much they could have done about it. I definitely still recommend NorthStar Movers!

Northstar is amazing! Karan, Wendel & Sergio were fast and so accommodating to all of my picky requests. We are driving a truck one-way and hired them to pack up our rental. They are experts at packing a lot of stuff in a small truck to maximize space and distribute the weight for a long distance drive. Thank you for all of your help to make our big move a lot easier!
These are the nicest guys! They made my move so easy and were willing to go the extra mile. Even when we had to figure out how to work the freight elevator, they did it with a smile and laughter. Definitely recommend!

BEST MOVING COMPANY EVER!!! In all my years, and with all my moves, they’ve set a new standard when it comes to movers. By chance I learned of North Star Moving Co., and before calling a previous company that did a great job; liked the reviews I read on Yelp, and got an appointment precisely when I wanted it. Great service from the very first phone call to the end of my move. They also made sure all was confirmed the day before.
I had Bobby, Marcus and Victor! AWESOME movers! My back was(is) out! and Bobby, Marcus and Victor all have the most wonderful attitudes, as I pointed out what needed to go. Under normal circumstances, I would have done more with having most in one place; however, they made me feel like I didn’t need to do a thing; making the move seem effortless-that’s a major feat when it comes to moving!!! They took excellent care of my “stuff”, and hardly broke a sweat with my prized solid marble table and base. When unloading, same thing, placing everything exactly where I wanted, moving with efficiency and speed. Not only did they work consistently and steadily, never stopping to break; they strategically placed everything so well to ensure there were no “incidents;” seemingly caring about my property as much as I do. Wonderful to watch.

Keep it up, hiring awesome people, willing to provide great customer satisfaction/service, and do what’s required with excellent attitudes! You’ve got some keepers, and I pray they are well compensated so everyone continues to reap the benefits.

After doing a ton of internet research for Los Angeles-based movers, I made an excellent decision hiring NorthStar Movers! Their hourly rate may be a bit higher than the competition, but with NorthStar you get 3 movers instead of 2 – makes all of the difference for timing.

Pro Tip: Buy your own plastic furniture wrap and movers tape to save some money. 1 roll of plastic wrap and 10-15 rolls of movers tape should be plenty to cover all of the furniture for a 1 bedroom apartment. $75 extra charge for supplies was reasonable – and explained to me beforehand.
