Update: We just moved and Miguel and his team were fantastic! They packed us one day and moved us the next. They packed us up quickly and well (all my fragile glassware etc., arrived in perfect condition). And the move…these guys were pros! It was raining–a continuous heavy downpour– the day of our move. They took such good care of our hardwood floors and carpets–you would never have known that they moved us on the rainiest day of the year. They placed all our boxes in the right rooms, put together our furniture and placed it where we asked and double-checked everything before they left. The crew was incredibly fast, polite, and just AMAZING!!! We really can’t say enough good things about NorthStar, they made our move as stress-free as a major move with a toddler can be. We would recommend them without hesitation.

It was our first time using movers and thanks to yelp found NorthStar. From getting a quote to the day of the move, everything went seamlessly. We were a little worried about the rain but fortunately it lightened up just in time for the move. Going to take the rain as good luck! Jeremy, Ivan, and Lloyd gave us a heads up call an hour before and the speed at which they wrapped the furniture and had our boxes loaded was impressive. The unloading went just as quickly. They had wardrobe boxes for us to use free of charge, which was great so we didn’t have to take clothes off of the hangers. They do charge for other packing supplies which they give you a pricing list when you book. We had always moved ourselves in the past, but this was an eye opening experience. Thank you NorthStar for helping us with our move!

It was our first time using a moving company and Northstar was great! Will definitely use them again if we ever need to move again. Jeremy, Ivan, and Lloyd were on time, got everything packed quick and unpacked quickly. They handled everything with care and were all very nice. From scheduling with Lynn everything went smoothly.
We used NorthStar on Friday and I cannot say enough amazing things about them. They gave us a window of 12-6pm and they called me at 12:20 to let me know they were on their way. Haitham and his team showed up and got to work immediately. They were friendly, careful and quick. Parking a large moving truck in SF is no easy task but they had no problem with it.
I was so impressed with Haitham and how professional he was. Anyone moving in SF should use these guys!
The movers were excellent at moving our items. They had to carry a bunch of heavy items up 4 flights of stairs. highly recommend
Jeremy, Lloyd, Yuan and Carlos were amazing. Complete professionals, easy to communicate and work with and went above and beyond hauling all our stuff up a steep hill – by hand! In the rain! – when the turn into our driveway was too sharp for the truck to make. They handled our things like they were their own, maintained a great attitude and did everything they could to make things easy for us. Do yourself a favor and use these guys!!
Had a successful move. I wanted to move old furniture from my brother’s old place and some stuffs from his new place. Rafael and Rene worked very hard and were very professional. The whole move was completed within less than 4 hours. I would highly recommend North Star Movers for your local move.
I hired NorthStar to move me out of my apartment, into storage, and 2 months later, into a new apartment. They made it seamless- they were efficient, broke desks/chairs down for me, taped boxes up, and made sure all of my belongings arrived safely.

These guys were absolutely amazing. They were very organized. They disassembled and reassembled all the furniture very well. The wardrobe boxes were loved everything!
Moving can be a very trying experience. I sold my house in five days and could not get into my new house for another month. Ron Cohen/Northstar was recommended to me by my boss as he used them for his move from Los Alamitos and had a great experience. I called Ron, we made an appointment right away. He came to my house, we went over everything and he gave me a quote right there. He said it would not be more than what he quoted. I decided to go with them. They came when they said they would, four great guys showed up and packed up my whole house. They were super nice and amazing hard workers. They stored my whole house for one month free. On the day I was to move in they actually showed up early with three more awesome guys – again, very hard workers. I just cannot say enough about this company. I would recommend to anyone and would DEFINITELY use them again. I like when I am promised something and I actually get what was promised to the letter! Thank you Ron!!!!!

Jeremy, Yvan & Lloyd did a fantastic job moving us this week! We needed a lot of help with everything from the big furniture items to my sons Star Wars figures and they did it all. They even went so far as to wrap the kids posters so they wouldn’t get damaged in the move. Everything made the move intact and exactly where we needed it to go. Will definitely use NorthStar Moving again though hopefully not for a long time.
I cannot say enough about this excellent moving company and its staff! We started the potentially stressful process by talking to Ron who arranged to come out to our home to discuss the moving process and give us a quote. We were impressed by his professionalism and flexibility in tailoring the move to the needs of our household. The day before our move, his crew, under the very capable leadership of Antonio, arrived and spent the day carefully wrapping our furniture and belongings. We had already packed all the small stuff such as our dishes, personal belongings etc. The trucks arrived the next morning as scheduled with a crew of 5 guys who packed our belongings with extreme care for the trip to our new home – a 3 hour drive away. The same crew arrive the following day, as scheduled, and unpacked and set up our furniture in our new home. Bottom line – we have moved many times and have never worked with such a professional and reasonable company! No damage – no issues – the best!!!

Fred and Diego did an amazing job! They were professional and got the job done smoothly. They packed my kitchenware and belongings at my old apartment. All of my dishes/belongings were packed nicely and nothing was broken. Also, very dog friendly. My dogs don’t befriend strangers but were fine around them so I know they are good people 🙂 Very time efficient and courteous. I will definitely be using the same team for my next move.
