From Orange to LA, my boyfriend and I decided to get some help from a moving company. Fred, Junior, and Windel arrived promptly and didn’t hesitate to begin our move. They were careful not to damage any of our furniture or our walls. When we got to the new place they unloaded everything and assembled all our furniture. Without these guys, this move would’ve taken us many weekends. We can’t thank them enough!!!!! We will definitely be asking for their help again in the future!
I contacted North Star Moving for my move from West LA to Anaheim Hills. They responded promptly with my inquiry and sent an inspector to my apartment prior to the move to discuss logistics and have a better understanding of what items I had. Everything seemed extremely professional and well coordinated.
The day of my move, I was given an 8-10am window, and my movers Jorge J, Ruben T, and Abraham L showed up exactly at 8 am and got right to work. They worked hard and completed my move within 4 hours. Everything was professional including the boxing of my items, wrapping of furniture and TVs, and explanation of charges. Nobody likes moving, but these guys made it happen quick and easy!

Great move. Good and fast service. They arrived at the house, we showed them around and told them what to move, and then they just moved everything. No fuss.

When scheduling the move, Lynn was very pleasant and answered all of my questions. On moving day Our crew consisted of 5 men and two trucks! Jesse, Jorge, Artum, Jacob and Joey. They were friendly and went straight to work! This was a 10 hour move and a very long day. This crew had a positive attitude the entire time and did not slow down. They were respectful and careful with all our items.

I just moved again a few months ago, having bought my first place, and NorthStar came through again with a great team…as soon as I dig up their names I’ll add them to this review.

I just recently finished a move from North Los Angeles county down to southern orange county. I had Manny and Wilfredo as my movers at NorthStar. They were at my location promptly at 8:00am. While I had most of my furniture wrapped, I needed some more items wrapped. Not to sound like a snob, but I have what I consider nice furniture. It’s mostly from Room and Board, and it’s heavy (Solid Maple). Every furniture item that was not wrapped, they made sure to wrap with heavy blankets before it got on the truck. If they had any questions, they didn’t guess and move forward, they asked me.
I have found most movers just want to rush as fast as possible, and treat your items like they all came from Ikea (yes I have a couple of Ikea items as well). I’m more satisfied that they were doing things right, instead of doing things rushed. I moved into a town home which is 2 levels. Again, they planned their attack up the stairs with my heavy furniture as it was a very narrow path. Other movers would have bashed the wall in, stopped and then thought about what to do next. Did the walls get scraped a little? Yes, it’s moving. There are always tight spots, awkward spaces to move things, but I don’t know anyone could do much better.
The pricing was very fair for the level of service/quality I received. I have moved at least 8 times in the past 14 years. I would definitely use them again, and I would also ask for Manny and Wilfredo again.

Fred, Diego an Junior were amazing! I needed to move several rooms in my home, upstairs to downstairs, including a treadmill machine! They got the job done in no time. I have used Northstar before and will use them always. Thanks guys!

Just last week I hired Northstar movers to move me from my old apartment into my new one. I’m very happy with their work and would recommend them to others. Ron came out to assess my home to give me an accurate quote. I had 3 movers and 1 truck at $129 per hour maxing out at 8 hours. Plus packing my kitchen supplies and they provided wardrobe boxes. Jorge, Ruben, and Abraham were my 3 guys and they did an awesome job! I have a lot of stuff and the move ended up exceeding the estimated time frame by almost an hour. I didn’t expect, nor did anyone else expect, that moving my full 1.5 bedroom apartment would take that long. So it was a little surprising that it was about a 9 hour move to a new apartment just a few blocks down the street. But it all got done and it was done well. The 3 guys were great and made sure to stay until everything was finished. Nothing was damaged or broken. They took great care in wrapping everything thoroughly including the breakable kitchenware. Thanks guys!! I’d definitely recommend Northstar to others and urge them to utilize the great yelp deal provided here too!
