This is the 2nd time I’ve used North Star because I had such a great experience the first time. Today- with the help of Darryl, Nick, Dominic, Jason and Mason- my fiancé and I moved into our forever home. As expected, the team was so professional- great attitudes- took great care of our belongings and cleaned up after themselves- even cleaned up some of our own mess. The Northstar team made the move go smoother than expected. The price is way below competition- we are so pleased on every level. (Thanks guys for all the hard work!!!)
NorthStar Movers are the best! Our day started out horribly. Ivan, the dispatcher, informed us on the very morning of our move, that he would have no movers for us. But when the movers finally came (which was not the 3 guys assigned to us), Foreman Art A., Christian, and Junior helped calm our anxieties and stress. They were quick, careful, and accommodating to our needs. They wasted no time and provided the utmost best customer service. I highly recommend NorthStar Movers and only request for these guys listed. They were professional and I believe they should be promoted to management. Excellent communication. I will come back to North Star Movers!
Called the largest 3 movers in LA on Yelp and Northstar had the lowest minimum hours required. Scheduled with them and was given a three man crew: Randy, Jorge, and Matt.
They called an hour in advanced within their scheduled window to let me know they were coming. Once they arrived, they got to work right away and started loading up the truck. All the furniture was wrapped and secured properly. They even arrived at our new place before us! Great team of guys! It was spot on with what I was quoted on. Definitely not moving myself again.

They did a great job moving me from a studio in Palo Alto to a 1 BR in Mountain View. Friendly and personable staff (3 people) and got the job done efficiently. Also very reasonably priced. It was about $330 (including the coupon which saved me a lot of money). I would recommend them for sure and buy the coupon in advance!
Great experience all around! Easy set up and confirmation of appointment. I had last minute complications and had to re-schedule my move and they accommodated me with out any extra fees or hassle. They arrived on time and were quick to get right to work. They were kind and respectful of my property. They worked very hard and seemed to really enjoy their job. It was worth every penny and I would definitely hire them again. Rafa, Willy, Jorge, and Sammy were awesome and I appreciate their hard work!
Nelson, Dwayne, and Will were so amazing. First of all, they have super human strength and lifted our couches over their heads and down a flight of 20 steep stairs. They were incredibly friendly and moves our stuff with lighting speed and efficiency. Which honestly, is rare in movers. You can request the three of them with company, which I would highly recommend. Honestly, I am super impressed.

We were extremely happy with NorthStar. Jose and his crew were awesome. They were punctual and moved our belongings quickly and with care. Nothing was damaged at all during the move. They were friendly and super efficient. Would definitely recommend, and I will surely be using them again in the future.

My wife and I moved this past weekend from our rented duplex to our new house. We’d had a very scary and rough experience with movers in the past and were quite reticent to trust a moving company again. However, my wife is pregnant and neither of us wanted to burden family and friends, so after some good first hand accounts by family friends and incredible yelp reviews we choose North Star to move us, and couldn’t have made a better choice. From the first call we made to the truck driving away everything was professional, honest, and helpful. We were given clear pricing estimates, and knew what to expect and what we could do to keep the cost within our budget. In fact, we came in under budget!! We opted for a 3 person team and decided to pack ourselves. A few days before Lyn called and confirmed the details with us. Day of, when Orlando, Matthew and LeVonn arrived they were prompt, and professional, and we had our house packed and ready to go for them. They handled everything with great care, and so far we haven’t found anything broken! The went over pricing a 3rd time upon arrival and only wrapped items that we requested. North Star will charge extra if you use their packing supplies (tape, shrink wrap .. not blankets) but it’s free if you provide it. The team was so quick that they were finished about 3 hours ahead of what I had budgeted for. When it came time to settle up, Orlando pointed out a coupon on Yelp that I neglected to purchase that would save us even more money. Needless to say they were given a much deserved handsome tip and sincere thank you. Let me say it again, thank you North Star!

Northstar Moving Co. gets 5 stars…I would love to give them more. The professionalism of staff is what you expect from a business. The staff were exceptional. Darryl M, Tavon T. and Hector B. were very prompt, attentive and very efficient…packed up, moved out and items were placed in storage in near 100 degree heat. Amazing job!

I had to move a 2 bedroom appt to a house that is located 2.7 miles away.
When I called to book the service Gloria explained me that there is a 3 hours minimum and all the other info about pricing. I been told that the driver will contact me before he arrives. Jessie called to let me know that they will be at my place in 30 minutes.
An hour later Jessie, Artem and Travis moved all my plastic begs into boxes (that they supplied) and pretty much finished to load the truck.
We drove to the house and they made sure that everything going to the right room.
And also helped with moving stuff that I already had in the house to the second floor. If I wasn’t slow them down I believe they they could finish it in 2 hours.
These guys are highly recommended! Very fast workers, also everything that Gloria mentioned on the phone was on point. No hidden fees and no B.S
