Moving is never fun, but in the right hands, it can be much less painful.
While there were a few minor hiccups, NorthStar Moving handled my move properly. Anytime I had a “gripe”, I’d call and they were able to help. Even better, a Manager is a few words away and they were super helpful if I needed clarification around pricing, timing, etc.
Everything arrived unbroken, properly protected and the movers themselves were quick and friendly.
In a world full of shady movers, NorthStar stepped up to the plate and delivered (literally). I will definitely recommend them to others!
Local Move
These guys are the best. Chase and Jorge really helped out. They made the move so easy and were very polite. They handled everything with care and were really fast. Had a great experience and will definitely go back to these guys when we inevitably move again.
Used northstar for our move today. They made things so easy! Chris M., Joshua G., and Andrew N. were AMAZING during our move! Efficient, reasonably priced, and just really cool guys. Would definitely recommend Northstar to people who want a smooth, easy move.
So this is my 4th time using this company and the 4th time for a reason! They continue to do a fantastic job with moving my cherished belongings in a safe and efficient manner. CHASE, JORGE, & TONY were observant and quick, without sacrifice. And they paid attention to what my boxes said (kitchen, bathroom, living room, etc) and put the designated boxes in their rightful places. Not every mover does that! I definitely recommend them to do your moving for you… and save yours and your friends’ backs (and time, above all).
Just had the pleasure of speaking with Ana at Northstar. She was helpful, friendly and courteous which is exactly what I needed when faced with the stress of a move. This move should be a piece of cake thanks to Northstar!
Holy lord these guys are monsters. And I mean that in a good way.
My reservation block to move from Beverly Hills to Long Beach was 8-10 am and they showed up around 8:15 (they even called twice to let me know their ETA) and started moving stuff like Tasmanian devils. No slackers here. George gave me an estimate and assured me that it wouldn’t be more than that, which is a nice touch because it encourages the movers to work quickly. Orlando and David rounded out the three person crew and they went gangbusters on our stuff, some of which still needed to find homes in open boxes. They asked the right questions and had friendly personalities which made the sweat-filled time we had a bit more enjoyable.
They were all great but George is an animal. He’s probably 5’4″ and he was carrying elephants of boxes on his back. Whole chairs. Doubles boxes of heavy books. I saw him RUNNING around my fridge as he taped it up. Plus they moved the old fridge that was decaying in the new place out and brought my new one in. And my new place does not have a convenient loading zone either. But they made it happen. A++++
Moving is the worst. And these guys do it every day. Sometimes twice a day. And they do it with smiles and with positive attitudes. In the end, even with supplies that I ended up having to purchase, the total was about what he estimated. I gave them a big tip because they really impressed me.
Hire them. You won’t be sorry. If you are, you didn’t get George, David, and Orlando.

I just spoke with Anna to set up a move and she was awesome! She was very clear and explained everything in detail making sure I understood the charges that would occur. Very professional service compared to other companies I called. I look forward to seeing them this week in action!
Alma helped me book my move, she was great! She walked me thru everything leaving me with no questions at the end. Plus it’s my second time moving with this company and she was the one who helped me a year ago, no problem!

I’ve moved homes a few times and each time I have used North Star Moving Company. Stefy Nudel is very informative and very support and she exceeded my expectations. Emailed North Star last night and received a call first thing in the morning to follow up! Michelle V was great with providing me all of the moving information and was able to set me up with an appointment the same week for my move! Excited to get this move going!
