Late review: I used Northstar on August 22nd, Xavier was the supervisor for my move. He called when they were on the way so I could be prepared. The crew were very diligent in quickly yet safely packing all my belongings. They were very professional and kept me informed of the progress. When we got to my new home they asked what goes where so that unpacking would be easy for me. happy to say everything arrived at my new home in a very timely manner, whole move was just under 3 hrs, and everything was intact. I do not plan to move again soon but I would definitely recommend Xavier and his team to anyone who is planning a move.

kevin, tobias and austin helped me move from oakland to san francisco today in 5 hours flat. they also helped to pack some of my kitchen (i ran out of boxes!) and they moved my super heavy, 100% latex mattress with no complaints! they were super kind, efficient and friendly – and even put back together my couch with a smile.
the women i spoke to on the phone who booked and confirmed my appointment were really informative, patient, professional and friendly as well.
i would totally recommend this moving company, and hope that you get this crew of gentlemen to help you out !

It seemed too good to be true but it was not. 5 guys packed my entire house, moved it, and partially unpacked it into my new house all in one day and for significantly less than the not-to-exceed price I was quoted. Piano, large furniture, 75 pieces of fine china, all unscathed. I can’t believe I ever moved on my own before.
Setting up a reservation with Ana on the phone was quick and easy. She was courteous and informative. Would recommend this company for customer service.
Great customer service, very professional. I requested a quote online very late one night, and received a follow-up phone call the next morning. Spoke with Ana about a local move – she was very friendly and easy to talk to, and quickly followed up with me by email with rates and next steps. She even voluntarily asked if I saw the Yelp deal to save me money!
Good experience with these movers. They’ve entails me how to go on Yelp and get a coupon to save $50. That doesn’t happen every day. Very satisfied.

We have used North Star Movers 3 times. Each time, from the estimate process to move day, has met or exceeded my expectations. Gil has done all 3 of our estimates and has been a pleasure to work with. He and his team remember who we are years after our moves. For our most recent move, Luis R, Jose T, Juan L, and Wilber C arrived and finished on time, took great care with our belongings, and were extremely polite. They were also personable and fun which made the day a lot less stressful. We enjoyed working with everyone and will definitely continue to use them.
