I booked these guys less than a week in advance and they were SO accommodating. I thought for sure all of these yelp reviews were shills. I was pleasantly surprised at their professionalism and great communication. They called me 3 days before to make sure I was still on, and twice on the day of just to clarify the time that they were arriving. When Matthew Armen and Hannes showed up, Hannes made sure to go through all the details on of the move very thoroughly. They were super quick, took excellent care of my things, and asked before they did anything that they weren’t sure of. I couldn’t be happier with this team of dudes. I used another moving company before which a friend recommended to me, night and day compared to North Star. I’m glad I chose north star this time around, I honestly couldn’t be happier! USE THESE GUYS, trust me.

Northstar did a great job moving us over two days. Juan Alvarez, Cesser Mendez, Miugle r and Jose ocampo were fast, pleasant and so helpful. Really appreciate them making what is a stressful experience as manageable as possible.
Juan Alvarez, Cessar Mendez, Miugle R and Jose ocampo did a wonderful job moving us. This is my second time using Northstar and they were still fast, professional and made moving as easy as it could be.
Used northstar again… For my second move in 7 months. Hannes, Jose & Nery were done in less than two hours, NS gave me a great rate with a two hour minimum which worked great. They were professional, fast and careful with my stuff. Will use NS for all future moves, they did a great job yet again.
These guys helped us move apartments in Santa Monica. They were on time, worked quickly and took care with all our things. Definitely recommend.
Hannes, Geovani and Matthew were on time in their arrival and were extremely respectful of my belongings. The new place had the carpets cleaned and I lay plastic down which they were very diligent in staying on. They were very good-natured and were very fast and getting in and out. I’ve had a lot of movers drag their feet going to and from and these guys were far from that. Would highly recommend and would definitely use again.

These guys were GREAT. They were very responsive when I was getting quotes and patiently answered all my questions even before we booked them. We moved from a three-bedroom townhouse in Fremont to a five-bedroom single family home in Union City. While we had moved a lot of smaller items ourselves, we still had some big ones that we needed help with, such as our washer and dryer, seven-piece sectional sofa, two beds and more.
We had a team of three men and one truck and they were on top of their game the whole time. They carefully and thoroughly wrapped our furniture in blankets/covers and helped us box up items that we didn’t have time to pack ourselves. They moved quickly and were incredibly courteous, helpful and respectful of us and our stuff. We also have several jigsaw puzzles that we had glued together — obviously very fragile. They packed them up well in boxes with paper to cushion them.
Our move only took 4-5 hours. There was no extra charge for moving on a Sunday, and they even pointed out the Yelp deal to us before we paid to make sure we would take advantage of the $150 for $60 voucher. All in all, I would highly recommend them!

Had 3 great guys take the pain out of an in-town move. The Northstar team was on time, professional, careful, and extremely helpful. There was one item that was too large for 3 guys to move, and instead of charging me for an additional move, they sent 4 guys and just charged for time. Very fair – very professional – very caring – very friendly.
I’m thrilled I found these guys here on Yelp. I am going to use them in the near future to move some stuff out of my garage.
I’m considering moving again which made me remember I never reviewed these guys when I used them about a year and a half ago! Impeccable service. At first I thought the crew that arrived to move me was never going to be able to lift everything (and carry it up 3 flights of stairs at my new place). Not only were they more than capable, they were extremely fast, polite, hard-working, and careful with all my stuff. There were no snags at all (arrived on time, moved quickly) and they even finished the job a bit faster than I expected which as anyone coordinating a move around LA knows, makes things soooo much easier on you. Thank you for doing a great job and setting a high bar for movers. The guys you sent me were top notch workers with great attitudes too.
