These guys were great. We were told they would show up between 8 and 9 am on a Saturday. They called at 7:15 saying they would be around 8 am and showed up right at 8.
There were 3 guys and they were incredibly efficient. We had roughly 30 boxes and furniture as part of a 900 square foot apartment.
They moved our boxes in about 45 minutes and then took about another hour to do the rest. They then drove 45 minutes to our place and unpacked everything.
All told we paid $640 for 5 hours including the coupon we got on Yelp. These guys were great.
There were a couple of shelving units that they took apart that now don’t work totally so we have to find a part to keep the shelving upright but otherwise everything was in good order.
Local Move
This is the third time I have used NorthStar Moving Company. They came to me as a referral from Prospect Mortgage. I had an excellent experience the first two times I used them but this last time far exceeded my expectations. Jonathan went over and beyond trying to please and make sure the job was done in a curious and professional manor. His team worked quickly and always with the utmost care for my belongings. I cannot say enough about this company. I will definitely recommend NorthStar to all my friends and family.
The move was great – very smooth and the 3 guys were amazing! so helpful and even put my bed and dining table together!

We were referred to NorthStar from a friend who used them and had nothing but great things to say, our experience was the same. Great company and customer service is an A+. We moved from Los Angeles to Orange County and everything went quickly, I do recommend getting a quote before your move so you have no surprises on the cost. We did so and our total ended up being $100 LESS than our quote so that was a nice surprise because hiring a good moving company is not cheap. We will definitely be using them for our next move, and that’s a promise.
Our closing date moved up and we were scrambling for a moving company. Friends had used NorthStar for their move 4 years ago and recommended we give them a call. We couldn’t have been happier – from the first call with Beatriz, who answered all our questions/concerns and was able to schedule us on the date we needed, to the actual move with Francisco, Isak and Gerson, who arrived on time and treated our furniture and belongings with care and respect. With their patience and professionalism we were moved across town and into our new place with only a half hour of OT…and I thought it would take a lot longer! We will be happy to use them again and recommend them to everyone we know!
