I moved my residence with NorthStar Moving 4 times over the last few years. They were incredible time after time. Their prices were more than competitive…they were always on time with highly qualified people that had done the job quickly with complete professionalism and without any hustle to me…The estimated price they gave me upfront was never acceded! Local Move
I used North Star twice in the past 12 months. I moved from Culver City to Downtown and then also had to move out and store furniture in a storage for a month for a construction in my condo. For my first move I chose them because they are the preferred mover for my condo, and now I know why they are. I am really satisfied with their service.
Both times, making appointments for the on-site estimate and the actual move was very smooth. My second move coincided with the busiest time for moving companies (last weekend of the summer) so I was initially asked to choose a different date. But I needed to move that weekend. The lady on the phone told me she will try to find a spot for me and call back. In about an hour I received a call saying they are able to move me that weekend!
They showed up on time on the date of the move (both times). They were friendly and cautious. They were very fast in packing and very careful with handling my stuff. Each move took about 6 hours.
After each move, I received a follow up calls from the office to make sure the move went OK. You never get that kind of customer care with any other companies.
I will definitely use them again.

Ok, so we just got done with moving with NorthStar Moving, it took most of the day because it wasn’t packed at all. I been working all week and they packed us up and they moved us to our new place and it was a remarklable good experience, I mean, I am tired but everything was packed nicely and nothing broke and I was very happy with the entire service. I schedule NorthStar Moving to move my belongings from Pasadena to
Glendale and the guys was suppose to be there at 7am, they were there
right on time. They were amazing. They just kind of swoop through
the townhouse packed everything beautifully and moved it to
Glendale. The move was originally schedule for 12 hours, they were done under 8
hours and the move actually ended up costing me less than what the
estimate was. I am thrilled. I would recommend them to anybody.

This weekend I moved a 1BR from Westwood to Santa Monica.
I was nervous because it was my first time using a professional moving company, as opposed to friends/family and a UHaul: I was worried the crew would be taking breaks every 30 minutes on my dime. I was nervous they were sending three guys for what appeared to be a two guy job- but after calling around different companies, 3 men seems to be the standard.
I recommend them very highly and will definitely use them next time I move.
The move was done quickly and professionally. I got a call from Guy the foreman the day before the move confirming the details. The next day, Guy and his crew of Angel and Ramiro called at 830AM saying they were outside.
From then on through completion at 1115AM, the process was quick and efficient. All three took no breaks and were always working.
General numbers for those looking for a benchmark: A 1BR from Westwood to Santa Monica in under 3 hours. At $115/hour plus double drive time, it ran me $380 not including tip. 3 hours might be a little short because I had moved the kitchen equipment and clothing myself in my car the night before. On the other hand, maybe 3 hours is a little long: these guys negotiated three flights of narrow spiral stairs with heavy furniture.
