I believe I got my estimate and appointment set up by messaging the more popular San Francisco page, but writing my review here by request of my boy Jesse.
Planning a long out of state move is rough and take a lot of time. I had maybe 30 boxes and 5 pieces of furniture including a bed, tables, and chairs. Got my two hour window and I was ready to go.
Tail end comes and my boys Jesse, Kevin, and Corry show up (or Kevin and the band). Not only were they super professional, coming fully equipped with dollies and packing materials, they were highly efficient – taking almost 400 pounds of materials in one go, amazing!
One of my guys helped me out in the paperwork, super easy to sign and broke down the process real smoothly. Sure enough, another North Star employee emailed me the next day with an exact rate very close to the estimate I got.
From my call from Alma over the phone to my three guys on move out day, North Star has very personable basically been flawless support for my move. I am literally a better person from this move, and I look forward to seeing them on the other side.

Best moving company ever. We moved from LA to Boston and it was very easy. I especially want to thank Manny, Alfonso and David for their work. They are very professional and polite. Reasonable price, high quality service. We strongly recommend.
Jonathan, Ruben and Marvin did a very fantastic job picking up my boxes and luggages. They are very friendly and take good care of my stuffs. When I have a concern about the quote, Jonathan immediately reached out to the office and confirm the details for me. Thanks guys!
We are just wrapping up the first part of our move from Oakland to Vancouver, Washington. Kevin and his crew did an AWESOME job today. We had prepped and packed for almost a week, and were ready when the crew showed up. Kevin was professional, helpful, and friendly as were the entire crew of 5. We have a 4-level house in the Oakland hills, and it is difficult to get to. From the moment they arrived, the crew went to work and didn’t take a single break. They got our 3,100 square foot house loaded into their truck in four hours, all with a great attitude and attention to detail. They were the hardest working team we have ever seen. We were pleasantly surprised, as we have always moved our own stuff, and this is the first time we have used professional movers. We could not be more pleased.
Even though the price had a lot of add-ons from the original quote, we had a LOT more stuff than we thought and the weight came out well above the initial cost. This was anticipated and Jason at dispatch made it all clear ahead of time, so there was no confusion.
Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend NorthStar, and in particular, Kevin. He was super professional, friendly, and helpful to us throughout the process. THANKS MUCH!!

Literally just got done with the move. Very professional, stress-free, and hard working. The team of Junior, Kevin & Wendel. Wrapped every edge, angle of seats and furniture with blankets and each item was handled with care. Hour notice was prompt by team leader-Junior. If I move again, I would consider Northstar Movers. They are the best with nice, friendly movers. Look no further, this is the place with all your moving needs.

North Star is the best! Randy, Mario, Ruben, and Jesus were awesome and made my move extremely easy. The pricing is very reasonable as well. Their phone calls were helpful and the crew arrived promptly. The pickup was simple and efficient. I could not recommend this company enough! They pack everything with care and the process was very thorough. I will be using this company for all future moves.
This is our 3rd cross-country move with NorthStar. Loniail, Larry, and Leeca took care of our pickup yesterday and of course, their level of customer service was top notch. Very thorough and professional. Also wanted to give a shout out to Julie Traurig, who was our rep last time as well.
I was blown away with their service, Highly recommended! Moving companies can be hit or miss but these guys were professional, polite, fast, and very careful with our belongings.
Jay and Alex called ahead of their arrival, kept great communication throughout the process, and were very accomidating and helpful as they moved our household.

Two guys from Northstar came this morning on time. They work really fast, but seemed conscientious in what they were doing. They supplied a lot of things that we’d forgotten in terms of boxes and extra packaging tape. So far so good!
