Great experience. Given how busy things are at this time of year I was lucky to get NorthStar booked with short notice. Moving in our neighborhood is a challenge because of parking and space but the gang managed to make it happen despite not having the required time to pull permits. We had lots of detailed instructions but the move went fast and everything arrived in its place free of damage. Overall a very uneventful move and we got a great price OTD. Definitely recommended.

Had a great experience with North Star. They were very professional all the way through. Daniel and his crew were wonderful–they tried to make sure we got our money’s worth and were just really nice guys. I’d recommend them to anyone.

I moved again and used Northstar again and WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED! Last time they were cheap, fast and efficient. This time, they were cheap, fast, efficient and EXTREME MOVERS! What’s that you say? What is EXTREME MOVING? Well I bet you thought you could just live your life and move your boring Ikea furniture from one apartment to another like every other yuppie in Santa Monica. Not with Northstar Moving! My bro Jose blasted into my apartment with a mission–To get his crew to move my stuff with as much badassery as possible. Bros were moving dollies with Herculean strength–two at a a time. These guys dismantled my furniture with Ninja skills… In fact, I thought one dude was part Robocop with the way his wrists rotated. They boxed up my rare and delicate porcelain clown collection like they were Tibetan monks balancing lotus blossoms on their fingertips. Not a single Bozo was harmed. They looked at my couch and looked at the door and said, “Nah, screw that.” Sure, the couch got IN to the apartment fine and they could have gotten it OUT of the apartment the same way but why be boring? These EXTREME MOVERS pulled the truck up to my balcony, sent one dude down below and had two bros hurl the couch over the balcony only to have one dude at the bottom CATCH IT AND HOLD IT IN MIDAIR UNTIL THE OTHER GUYS RAN DOWN TO HELP HIM. I’m sorry, Northstar, but do you also double as a dating service because I think I’m in LOVE. So, sure, you could go find another moving company. However, they won’t be as cheap, as fast, as efficient or as EXTREME as Northstar. Tell them you read this on Yelp and you’ll get 5%-10% off because they love hooking it up.

I just made another move and NorthStar has done another stellar job for me in making my move painless and great!   This will be the 3rd time I’ve used them. Ron Cohen does a great job in coming in on the estimate and has always been right on target!  The system they have blows away the competition while being highly honest and fair!  Stay away from other companies out there which give you an estimate without even coming to see your place… NorthStar does it right!  I also enjoyed the small conversation with Ron as he asked about the last move, to the point where he was even checking to see if some of the same guys were available (which one was) based on me telling him the positive experience from the past.   
 
With this move I needed one extra stop to storage and Ron was very fair (AND REALISTIC) on the estimate where the time was on target which only added another 1/2 hr to my move which was included as part of the estimate.   

As one who is in Real Estate, having solid vendors in place for clients is important and I’m happy to refer NorthStar as they have always done me right!   The 3 man crew were hard working and fast.  They don’t complain, and are always quick to offer a hand and go the extra step!   A good attitude goes a long way.   

I will stand behind the 5 stars!  I’ll also say that to see the negative review written by a recent yelper should not steer you away!  Its clear some people want everything in life for free and after not only reading the ridiculous post he left (but other reviews this individual wrote), I felt the need to say it as it is from my experience.  Understanding how stressful moving is for many, it bugs me when others enjoy fingerpointing their own Errors.   

High level of customer service is something I see NorthStar standing behind (and so much more than other companies) and they do a great job in always finding hard working, competent and skilled movers!  The guys they sent did an outstanding job!  They train them right and I have no doubt I’ll be giving them more repeat business in the future!

Just moved again and used NorthStar a second time, 3.5 years after the first. I think the service was even more impressive this time. In 3.5 years, I added a lot of stuff to an already huge amount, and was certain my 3 bedroom 2 bath move was going to kill me financially. NorthStar’s estimate was about 2/3 of what I figured I’d have to pay. On top of that, the four man crew I had – Oscar, Steve, Jose, and Edel – did the job so efficiently that the total came in at over 15% under the estimate, and they went above and beyond – they made sure everything was where it needed to be in the new house, and even helped me move appliances (including a dryer upstairs!) out of the new place. Super courteous, super quick, absolutely the best. Can’t recommend them enough. Moving is always stressful, but way less so with these guys doing the job.

This was our second time using NorthStar Moving Co., and we were not disappointed again. We had Steve, Steve, and Aaron. All were very professional and efficient. No time wasted, and all items were taken care of. These guys are pros.
