After reading the reviews on yelp, I decided to use Northstar for my local move. I was moving from a 1 bedroom apartment to a house. I thought 3 movers was overkill but that was the minimum size for a local move. The crew arrived on time, was very friendly and extremely helpful. They helped help me properly dispose of an old entertainment center I wasn’t taking with me which wasn’t easy. The floors in the home had just been refinished and the crew was extra careful not to scratch it. They even helped me get a heavy sofabed into the guest room which had a very tight hallway. It was like a rubix cube but they figured out how angle it in I think I will have to disassemble it to get it out, it was that hard. Best of all they finished almost exactly at the three hour minimum. Overall a great experience for something as miserable as moving I would definitely use them again for my next move.

My experience with Northstar Movers was, on a scale from 1-10, a 15!
Our movers were Herman, Max and Ullisses. These gentlemen were very thorough, efficient, polite and caring.
They did their job very quickly. They were very careful with our stuff as if it were their own. You could tell they take great pride in their work.
The total price of the move came in under the estimate and so we got charged less than the estimate. I could not believe it!
I totally recommend these guys to anyone and everyone!

These guys were great! They called me two hours before they were set to arrive. They showed up on time, with three guys and a HUGE truck to move all of my things. We were moving into a newly remodeled home with the original hardwood floors and I was very nervous about damaging the fresh paint and refinished floors. They were GREAT, fast, and took care of my new home and my belongings. I would use them again… but hopefully not for a while! 🙂 They called me to check in after the move to make sure that everything had gone smoothly. Apparently, they now have an estimator who will come out and do a free estimate with a “do not exceed” clause for your move. That way you’ll know the most you’ll be expected to pay. Great movers!
We moved in early January using NorthStar Moving Company and it was the best moving experience I’ve ever had. Alan M., Antonio C., and Marco A. were super fast, helpful and just generally on the ball. I also loved that when we booked Northstar they let us know about a Yelp discount coupon which saved us some money on the move. Not every day that a company directs you to save money. Will for sure be using them again.
This was my first time using NorthStar Moving Co. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Ron Cohen, estimator, answered my questions patiently and timely and made the whole process seamless. The movers (Omar, Francisco, Jose and Joshua) were a great team. If I have to move again, they would be my first choice. They showed up close to the scheduled time, went right to work, worked efficiently and worked hard. These guys clearly knew what they were doing and gave helpful suggestions to ensure nothing was broken. They also had a great attitude and clearly showed they enjoyed their job, which helped put me at ease. Customer Service was sharp and helpful. Was very pleased to end up paying less than the NTE quote and using the Yelp coupon. If I could give this company more than 5 stars, I would.
NorthStar moved me a couple of weeks ago and they were fantastic! It was tough to choose a company, however their Yelp reviews really helped me sift through the choices and they absolutely lived up to their excellent reputation. Ron Cohen, their Estimator, was informative, fast and thorough with his estimate and completely on target with what I could expect and what I’d be paying. What I appreciated was being given a roof for what it could cost me and told that I could have savings from that total (which I’m happy to say I did). I also used them for packing services the day before and my 3 packers were back on moving day, which also gave familiarity and comfort during what can be an incredibly stressful experience. I can’t recommend this company enough. I appreciate honesty, consideration, diligence and care and they delivered beyond my expectations!
Amazing work by a group of four professionals. Arrived at 8 started wrapping my furniture. Some things I thought didn’t need wrapping but they did it anyways. This was my first big move and in a couple of mins boxes were gone and stuff seemed to be leaving my house fast. Dalibanes was the one in charge of the move, very helpfu made everything seem like he’s been doing it for years. Some items had damaged and they let me know about them before hand. I paid my 3 hours minimum paid a good price on material at the end I even gave them all a nice tip. I would defenitly recommend north star.
NorthStar’s five stars are very much deserved. I can say, hands down, that in the past 14 years of moving around, I have never had such a wonderful moving experience.
Ron, our estimator, was friendly, efficient and honest. He gave us a great quote, offered us useful moving advice and we actually ended up paying less than he originally quoted us.
The movers treated our things with respect. We didn’t really experience any damage to our belongings, which was a lovely surprise. And the whole process was headache-free.
I’ve been recommending NorthStar to everyone under the sun (awful pun intended).
My delivery date was today, that was super quick from what I was expecting. Thank you, I will begin to feel more at home in my new home because of it.
