The following is an email I sent to Ron after my last move back in April 2009 in Playa Vista. To explain about the elevators, I had a not to exceed price but when we got to the new building one of the elevators was not working and they had to use one on the other side of the building and the move took much longer than estimated. There were also problems with parking so they had to move the truck twice while trying to unload my stuff. Even so they still stuck to the not to exceed price. I know any other company would have taken advantage of that situation and used the elevators as an excuse for other delays and charge me way more than agreed, but they still stuck to the not to exceed price! These guys are awesome — very honest and great movers as well. I have tried many other companies in the past and I had just accepted that there’s no such thing as a great moving company, but now I know in fact there is.

I meant to write to you sooner, but I’m still getting unpacked and I just got my computer set up (I had been checking mail on my phone). Anyway, I wanted to thank you for the way you handled my move and for being so understanding with the elevator problems. Also I wanted to say the three guys who did the move were absolutely excellent. I will definitely give you a call for my next move!

We have used them for our last 3 moves … We recently moved to Newhall from Burbank and they were fast (efficient) , careful and honest. I had a co-worker use another mover(Starving Students) and their moving company re-scheduled their move date at the last minute ! We have never had any bad experiences with Northstar. They have always been responsive to our requests and concerns. Great Customer service is rare these days so we made a point to send NorthStar a note of apprectiation for reducing our moving stress .

We used the guys from NorthStar Moving came in bright and early at just a few
minutes after 8 ready to rock and roll. They wrapped up everything quick in
the morning, got all the furniture together, no scratches, no bumps, no breaks
that I have seen and we got everybody moved in into the place promptly right in the
afternoon, was a really easy move, the guys took care of everything. And they
did a great job. I’m very happy.
We just moved into my new place and used NorthStar Moving and this is the first time I used NorthStar Moving and they were fantastic, they arrived at my place a little early, we got everything packed, we got it over here with three guys because normally most places use two. Three guys, fast and easy, everything looks like it’s in great shape. Everything is in here and it actually turned out to be cheaper than the last time I moved.
