I paid $320 for a three man crew to move us into a 3rd floor apartment on Saturday, December 11th.
The three guys you sent out were beyond awesome. They worked like their shorts were on fire! Not once did I see any of the three stop or slow down. It was the most amazing effort I’ve ever seen. They emptied our two bedroom apartment in less than one hour and took painstaking care to package both of our televisions.
We inherited a 48″ tv that our “friends” didn’t want to move again for us. Two of these guys put the tv on a dolly and moved it to the 3rd floor without incident. They told us that they moved a piano during their morning move that day. That’s a heck of a lot of lifting for one day…these guys are really good workers.
They unloaded all of our things in an hour and a half and we made it under the 3 hour minimum. My husband and I were so relieved and happy that we chose NorthStar.
We filled out a request for moving quotes from the MoveCenter at www.Rent.com. We received 8 phone calls from moving companies. The hourly rates ranged from $65-$96 with North Star being the most expensive. North Star was one of the few companies to actually send the emails we requested. The top deciding factors for us were:

2) The BBB recommendation

Now, we know that we made the right choice and it was well worth the extra cost.

I just wanted to compliment your staff for facilitating an excellent move for me on Monday October 4. I was contacted by Miral who professionally guided me through all of my options and who carefully explained all of the ends and outs of the process. She remained calm and professional right up to the end which in turn reduced stress on my end.
Then came Juan (I believe that is his name) who helped my out on Sunday 10/3 when I realized that I had goofed on my move date. He easily set me up to complete the move the next morning.

As you know, most of us who value sentimental and irreplaceable belongings are extremely skeptical when it comes to trusting movers. Something always goes wrong. If something doesn’t break, then surely the charges will break. .. the bank! At least that has been my experience time and time again. It seems impossible to find reliable and honest movers.
Even when the NorthStar customer service agent took my order with efficiency, promising me that your company was better than the others, I still had my doubts. I knew that somehow, something would go wrong. The only thing that did go wrong, however, was my preconceived notion that NorthStar would turn out to be like all the others. In fact, NorthStar hugely exceeded my every expectation.
Here are just a few of the things that NorthStar did throughout the move which changed my perspective and created a lasting impression:

2. The NorthStar moving crew showed up on time.
