We moved from Santa Clarita to Agoura hills and it was really easy. The movers came right on time and packed up everything for a “do not exceed” rate meaning we pay for what we were quoted and if we went under the time, we wouldn’t be charged for that extra time even though it was quoted. I think that was the best part and I was always able to call the office to add or remove items/insurance for the move. They offer .60 cents a pound of insurance and I bought extra insurance for the valuable items. The price was fairly reasonable to insure $5000 worth of items. The movers were really kind and there was a lot of traffic, but they called me to let me know what was going on our drive over. I really like that they were responsible with our time. They packed everything really well and we didn’t have anything break on us which was amazing. Really happy! I would definitely recommend them again.

Had a great experience with NorthStar Moving Company. The team that picked my stuff up in Los Angeles was very professional and friendly. I was mostly packed when they arrived, but they carefully packed up some of the larger items like my tv and dresser mirror. They even did a great job packing up an acoustic guitar.
I had my items stored with NorthStar for several months while I waited to find the perfect apartment. Super convenient not to have to find another storage company and then hire new movers! I had to call the dispatch team several times to schedule my delivery, but they were ultimately able to send a team on the weekend of my move to my new apartment.
Edgar and his team were amazing with the move in. They were super fast, friendly and efficient. They were able to move in all of the boxes and correctly set up my furniture within two hours!

I just moved from Brentwood to Pasadena…and this was the fourth time I’ve used NorthStar in the last three or four years. As always, the move went as well as you could imagine especially given the rain. The three guys showed up and went right to work. The whole thing took about four hours including the drive.

Thank you, great service. On time and didn’t break anything along the way. There were surprises at the end when the bill came. They were extra helpful and moved quick. Even helped put my bed together. Happy customer. 🙂
I recommend Ron for any move. I was pretty disappointed with the customer service the day of my move, but once Ron arrived he made sure to get the job done in a proper, organized manner. Many things can go wrong and it’s pretty hectic when moving, but these guys were understanding and got the job done. Thank you!!!
North Star runs a great business. We’ve moved 6 times in the last 7 years and had varied experiences with various moving companies. NorthStar was a little more expensive from other services we considered however since “you get what you pay for” and we decided to go with them. Marlon, Aruthur, Angel were on time, organized and efficient. It was a very easy move from San Francisco to San Jose. And the back office was responsive to questions I had regarding additional insurance and scheduling questions. We would absolutely use them again.
My movers just left and I am all moved into my new home. They positioned my furniture exactly where I wanted it and made the entire process easy. I was worried because I have a vintage upright piano but they moved it with lots of care. A couple of my pieces are aging but they had all of the materials to secure them. They were on time, friendly, and efficient. I’ve never seen movers work so hard to get it done as fast as possible. They had to go up and down numerous flights of stairs which I felt terrible about, but they stayed positive the entire time. I’m incredibly appreciative and would 100% hire them again! Go with Northstar Moving Corporation and you won’t be sorry 🙂
5th Time moving with this company! We started this morning and now I’m settled in. Everything was so easy – the guys were friendly and laughing all the time. They tackled the big job and were so helpful and on top of everything. I was really impressed with how they protected my big furniture with such care to make sure nothing was damaged. (Everything looks great so far, still have a lot to unpack, and I’ll update for an accurate review if I notice something). Just wanted to make sure to give these guys a quick positive review because I’m so appreciative. Good customer service from the office too.

Best day ever with NorthStar Movers!!! I was moving out of my loft in Downtown LA and I desperately needed some good movers to help me and didn’t want to bother asking my friends. The big items I really needed help moving were my bed, bed frame, area rug, coffee table, tv, chairs, tables, and floor mirror. I browsed around online for and thanks to my fellow Yelpers, I found NorthStar Movers here in LA. I filled out a form online and someone had contacted me within the next hour to follow up with my move. I booked the movers 4 weeks out and was really happy with the overall customer service experience.
Today was the big day for me and I had prepared myself by placing all of my personal belongings in boxes and bags to make it easier for the movers when they come. I had never hired movers before and I was so nervous. Living in Downtown La also meant that there wouldn’t be any street parking available. I had also contacted the Department of Transportation weeks in advance to block off 3 parking spots in front of my loft. They posted the signs 2 days earlier and it costed around $52.
At 8:00am, I had received a phone call for their ETA. Two big guys showed up and they were ready to help me make the move to Hollywood. They had their big truck, dollies, handtrucks, tape, boxes, seran wrap, blankets, etc. I loved how they carefully wrapped everything and took good care of my things!!! After they finished packing up everything into the truck, they came to my new place and unpacked everything for me and placed all of the furniture exactly where I wanted it.
I’m so grateful for these guys and NorthStar Movers for providing excellent customer service overall. If I ever have to move again, I know who to call. 🙂
