I would have to say that NorthStar Moving Company is definitely my hero. I have been getting quotes from movers and it is amazing how flakey they really are. I had Excaliber come out and do a quote at 10 am. Nick told me he would email me the quote shortly and it finally arrived at 11:20 am. I responded at 11:50 am and told him that I would need 2 hours because I was waiting for another mover to quote. I called that mover 3X — they were Victory Moving Company who failed to arrive at 10:00 am. On my 3rd call because no one got back to me I called and verified the pricing I was provided yesterday. I was told the guy would be here and when I said I need a price for a 10X15 storage space the woman advised me they had no storage available. Let’s just say I am not terribly impressed by movers. Then Nick at Excaliber got back to me after calling the office and advised me they could not do the move as they had no trucks or people. This was well within the 2 hour time frame I had requested.
In my hour of need I reached out to NorthStar Moving Company and Alma provided me with kind reassurance that they could the job done. I discussed the quote that Excaliber provided and Alma advised me to go to Yelp to get the $25 off an hour deal which definitely beat Excaliber. So in the future I would recommend you don’t waste your time dealing with Victory Moving Company or Excaliber because it is obviously neither know what they are doing.
All I can say is thank goodness for NorthStar Moving and Alma as she will definitely follow through and make your moving needs happen without any problems and save you your grief

NorthStar Movers are the best. I have been calling around all day trying to get a mover for a last minute move. The companies that I called had rude people answering the phone or they had all these extra hidden fees. Then I called NorthStar and spoke with Alma. She was so pleasant and she answered all of my questions and put me at ease about the move. She also went over all the fees, without hiding anything. Plus she was just really nice. Plus they give you free wardrobe boxes to use! I’m looking forward to the move now!
We had a great move with North Star. The crew they sent out (Junior, Kevin and Jesus) were real pros. They were quick, careful and extremely courteous. They were also extremely kind and gentle with our dog who insisted on helping them move the furniture

Jesse, Kevin, and Deon arrived on time and were proficient and professional. They made sure my furniture was taken care of properly. By far the best movers I’ve ever had and will use this company and request this team again!!! During the move they worked excellent as a team under Jesse’s leadership. There was no damage during the move. 5 stars all the way and will recommend to anyone for a move. Overall Jesse and his team ROCK!!!!
I was so nervous to hire movers because I got burned last time (different company obviously). I was refereed to Northstar by a friend so I called them. I also had about 8 other referrals and called them too. I decided to go with Northstar in the end and I made the best choice!! So quick, so professional and my move took less than the first time I moved (same amount of stuff) by a considerable amount. Thank you for eliminating my stress 🙂
Lonail and his crew are the best at what they do. Always with a smile on his face, positive attitude and friendly demeanor. His professionalism is exceeded only by his love for his job. He keeps you informed every step of the way. I hope I don’t have to move again for a long time, but if I do, I’m calling Lonail/North Star.

Karan, Emmanuel and John were able to arrive exactly when I asked them to, were safe and careful with my belongings, moved through everything quickly and were really nice guys to work with over about 4 hours. This was my first time hiring movers and it went as well as I could have ever hoped and expected. A+ to these dudes. Would hire again.
North Star is the best! Randy, Mario, Ruben, and Jesus were awesome and made my move extremely easy. The pricing is very reasonable as well. Their phone calls were helpful and the crew arrived promptly. The pickup was simple and efficient. I could not recommend this company enough! They pack everything with care and the process was very thorough. I will be using this company for all future moves.
Just finished with Northstar…guys were very professional, fast, diligent, a definite recommendation to anyone looking for movers! They pack and take boxes very quickly. The movers were a pleasure to work with in helping us with our new house!
