Great service all over. From the estimating stage where Gil came in and saw everything to the final details. Moving a 2 bedroom house full of baby stuff into a new house took 6 hours. Randy the foreman was great too. Asking where we want everything and getting it to fit.

Vatche, Jonathan , and Abraham did an amazing job of moving us! They were timely and super nice and helpful. We had so much stuff to move out of a storage unit but they handled it all really well. Thank you to Northstar for accepting our reservation last minute and providing us with such great service. We will definitely use you guys next time we need to move. Bit apprehensive based on the mixed-bag of Yelp reviews, but I needed a moving company last-minute so did not have a lot of options. All in all, had a very good experience with North Star.
I had only booked the movers the day before the move, was given a 12:00-6:00 time window.
Movers gave an hour’s notice at noon like they said they would, then actually showed up a bit early (12:45).
It was a small move but required three pickups at three different locations before the eventual move in. Ramiro and his two crew were very efficient, respectful, and careful with my stuff.
Their pricing model is not ideal but was explained to me fully over the phone before I booked, so there were no surprises.

The team of Randy, Joe, Ricardo and Prum did an amazing job moving my huge piles of stuff up into my 2nd floor duplex. They were courteous, fast, careful and professional. They were a pleasure to work with and did an excellent job. I own heavy things, like a 10 foot dining room table, that required some problem solving and geometry to get in the apartment. They did it! They even moved my piano without question! They were respectful of my belongings and even allowed me to change my mind a few times. I had a lot of stuff, and they did it fast without complaint! They made today, which could have been a headache, a pleasure.
I moved this past Sunday. My scheduled pickup got pushed back later than I expected. I had a hard deadline I needed to make and the office was very on top of the situation and made sure that I was out on time and happy with the move. The guys who did the moving are absolutely amazing, they work really hard and work really smart. They have all the equipment you could possibly need and they got a mammoth couch up stairs safely and unharmed, I was extremely impressed. It’s a good company with good people, I would recommend!
Was making the biggest move from Marina Del Rey to DTLA. Carlos, Dennis and Louis were a huge help, super nice, efficient and easy. There is nothing that causes more anxiety for me than anything, and they made it very painless. They killed it.
This is now the second time using NorthStar and I wouldn’t use anybody else at this point. I have had very bad experiences in the past and they are very professional and responsive.

I needed to move in a matter of 3 days. After calling several other moving companies and NO one calling me back, Ana at North star not only told that yes they can help me, but also eased my mind that all would taken care of.
The customer service people even called on Sunday (when they are closed) to confirm the move on Tuesday.

Once these guys arrived there was no messing around to keep the clock ticking.
They hustled and got the whole job done with in the 3 hour minimum that I was quoted.
I actually paid LESS then I expected.
If you need movers this is a great company.
I would also ask for this specific team of young men.
I would use them again in a second if I need their services

“Woohoo! As good as it gets!” is the default Yelp message that pops up when you give a company 5 stars. This is my fourth time using NorthStar, and I can honestly say that their moving service lives up to it. Moving is stressful, but NorthStar makes it so much easier. They bring 3 movers and a big truck and a bunch of moving supplies. They take care not to damage anything. For instance, my artwork got wrapped properly and despite the fact that it’s fragile, it came to the new place pristine! Same with my furniture. They do all the heavy lifting and work efficiently. I *highly* recommend NorthStar for your next move!
This was my third time in 20 years using NorthStar for a move. I am so grateful that they have maintained their high level of professionalism in all that time. My home is under remodel while we are living in it. Mario, Lamore & team were great at helping me figure out where all the furniture from the living room and dining room could fit in other rooms & moving items between multiple floors. Most importantly, they were great at keeping me calm when I was stressing out over other things. This was not an easy job as they were moving antiques, heavy marble tables and oversized pieces up stairs, around tough corners and into small spaces. They have extremely reasonable rates, arrived on time & called ahead as promised. They do charge extra for wrapping delicate items but it’s worth the time & expense to keep items nick-free and safe. Given how reasonable their hourly rate is, pay the extra (!) since anyone who cares about their antiques should oversee the process and wrapping themselves. Don’t expect the movers to have the knowledge of an antique dealer & automatically know the value of your grandmother’s dining room chair set; but if you tell them, they handle items with kid gloves.
I highly recommend this company. I will be using them again next month when all this renovation madness is over and everything goes back into its place!
