Decided to go through this service through all of the great yelp reviews. When I first signed up, I got a call from Northstar confirming dates,
time and people needed. They gave me a pretty fair price.
Day of: Adrian, Tobias and Noe was the crew and I could not have asked for a better one. They were super efficient, quick and shockingly strong.
They come PREPARED. Like seriously, I procrastinated packing a lot but these guys are balls to the wall quick in getting things packed and on the truck.
They were able to reassemble slightly complicated ikea bed no problem. All in all, for the price and work it was well worth less pain on my end and less stress.
I will definitely be using these guys again if I ever move.
Really great experience with Ezekiel R, Carlos C, and Daniel T from Northstar Moving. They were friendly, professional and quick. Made my family’s moving day super easy and painless. Definitely would recommend to anyone who needs to move!

Gret service from a professional, courteous team..Diego, Julio and Tovia who had to drlive the large truck up a narrow dead end, load and then back down again. They were fast and efficient and I would not hesitate to recommend. This job involved bringing items to theisr Hayward storage facility
for moving later cross country.
Chase, Clarence and Henry did a FANTASTIC job today. I had a three hour minimum but they finished in 2 which gave me a lot more time to get unpacked.

As a senior citizen, the thought of moving from L.A. to Iowa was daunting. I’m too old to move myself and I soon found myself deluged with people wanting to give me quotes. Fearing being low balled, I looked up long distance movers on Angie’s list and found NorthStar movers. My call to their
office resulted in Ron Cohen coming to my apartment to evaluate what I planned to move and to give me a quote. I was soon relieved to be dealing with Ron and Northstar. He is very pleasant and professional. He also made some helpful suggestions in response to my questions. (As it happened,
several days later, a new tenant used NorthStar to move into my building and she was very pleased with their service). Ron even made a second trip to help fine tune the amount of furniture and boxes I had decided to take. Bottom Line: I am so pleased with his service that I would recommend Ron
Cohen and NorthStar to anyone contemplating moving, local or long distance.

The guys paid extra attention to detail and moved carefully, but swiftly. With the Yelp deal and the fact that they used what they charged me last time, according to my record, the entire move for one truck and three guys came out to only $420 total! I would recommend Northstar to anyone who wants movers who know what they’re doing and do it fast! Way to go!! Ten Stars!
NorthStar recently moved my office without one single issue. Even when I went into panic mode when I thought we couldn’t make the move happen on our end, Ilan talked me off the ledge and assured me they could make it happen for us no matter what!! The team he provided was professional, efficient, and very hard working! Ilan gave us the quote and the best customer service anyone could ask for — when you are faced with all the facets of a big move like this. What a tremendous relief. This is my first time needing to use a mover so I was nervous. I didn’t know exactly what to expect. But the guys – Chase, Jorge, & John – They showed up at the beginning of the 2-hour window and just started right in. I moved a small apartment and we were done. In just a few hours.

Working with NorthStar was great; they made a stressful cross-country move as easy as possible. Everyone I dealt with during the whole moving
process was always completely professional, and extremely helpful. The office staff kept me informed and updated with emails and phone calls
during every step of the process, and when I called with questions they were always able to give me thorough answers without any delay. They
were also very accommodating to the delivery rules of my new apartment building: since we cannot move in on weekends, the delivery window
for my things was extended by a few days.
On the day of my pick-up, the movers arrived almost immediately at the start of my appointment window and did a very thorough job wrapping each
piece of furniture. I was given an itemized list of my belongings, each piece was tagged with a specific number. Dropping off my things was just as easy, we checked off each piece on the list as they brought it into my new apartment.There were only two points I wasn’t completely satisfied with – first, the original day for my drop-off had to be rescheduled after their delivery truck
broke down, however it took most of the day for them to come to that point. I appreciate that they still wanted to try to bring my things on the original
day, but in the end I just spent the day at home waiting while they tried to fix the truck. It might have been better to just reschedule earlier on. Second,
there was some slight damage done to a TV stand during shipping – the corner was cracked. However, the staff made it very easy to file a claim for
the insurance included in my moving contract, and I received a settlement that will help cover the cost of a new stand.
Overall, I was extremely happy with NorthStar’s service, and highly recommend them.
We had to make a really last minute move from Encino to Santa Clarita and the Northstar guys just made the entire process smooth and painless. They sent out an estimator straight away to give us a quote for the amount of furniture we were moving + the distance – the guy was friendly, helpful and professional. Then the day of the move arrived and a team of guys showed up promptly and got to work immediately.
The guys worked so fast that our final price ended up being almost $1000 dollars less than originally quoted. They were the perfect balance of friendly/helpful and hard-working. I’ve never had a move that’s gone so well! Would definitely use Northstar again.

The crew that showed up to move me today totally blew my original expectations out of the water. They were on time and courteous throughout
the entire process, even though I wasn’t totally prepared for them (professional procrastinator here)
Ezekiel, David and Alfonso moved everything faster than I expected, even though I forgot to tell them about the 6 concrete steps leading up to my
new place. When I sent them a picture of the steps, I asked them if it would create a problem. Ezekiel answered me back, “Hahaha no worries boss,
nothing we can’t handle.” They handled those steps with a piano no problem at all…….and they did it with a smile. Instead of giving me the stink eye
for forgetting to tell them about the steps in the first place.
I hope I don’t move again for a very long time. However, if I do….these are the guys I’m calling!!

These guys really like their job and it was great how pleasant they were. 29 years of stuff didn’t phase them.
Northstar is a great moving company! I have used them a few times to move around LA and everything has always gone smoothly! The movers that come show up on time and are polite. The pricing is fair. They can pack up your whole place for you if you need them to. They are fast too!

I moved cross country from Los Angeles to Chicago, and NorthStar was responsive, caring and professional every step of the way. I have nothing but
praise for everyone I dealt with, from estimator Alan Nudel, to the crew that picked up, wrapped and loaded my stuff in LA, to coordinator Mor and her
supervisor Jesus who handled the scheduling so my truck arrived on the exact day I need it, to the two gentlemen who pulled up in the 18-wheeler,
the aforementioned driver Hector and his partner Simon, to unload my life’s belongings in Chi-Town.
A note about Hector and Simon: I have never seen movers work so hard and so fast (they actually ran back-and-forth between the truck and my condo!) and with such grace and good humor in all my moves throughout all my life.
Hector and Simon bring a real passion to their job that I believe reflects the general culture of this wonderful company from the top on down. But what I really loved, was these two guys never stopped smiling, even when forced to find a creative solution to getting my back-breaking beast of a leather sofa into my new home without using the too-narrow stairs. Think levitation – that’s all I’m saying.
To sum up: I give NorthStar Movers 10 stars.
These guys are pros. I mean, we know they are pros because we paid for movers, right? But you can’t always be sure what you’ll get with a moving company. They showed up at the most ideal time, had a giant truck (awesome because I had two stops before the end home), and lots of equipment. But what really makes these guys stand apart from the rest is their speed and skill. They can clear a one bedroom faster than I can eat a sandwich. Everything was blanketed, wrapped, loaded, and secured so quickly it was awesome. Hannes, Daniel, and Andrew were the nicest dudes, too. Really friendly, funny, and strong as hell. I will definitely call them again. Pros, pros, pros!
NorthStar moved my family from Culver City to DTLA today and I can’t say enough positive things about the company. From the estimate with Gil who took my frantic call the night before and called back to follow up, to Rebecca in customer service who was extremely helpful, to the three guys who came today and moved all our belongings promptly and safely as if they were their own. I wasn’t here for the move but my husband was so impressed he tipped more than what he said he would, which says a hell of a lot if he’s adding something extra. I highly recommend this company for a professional experience from start to finish. Can’t say enough about how wonderful a company NorthStar is. We will definitely use
