She was extremely professional and helpful in organizing the times and explaining the requirements of the move to me. After researching numerous moving companies for my move from SF to LA, I decided to go with North Star and I have absolutely no regrets!
North Star’s rates are great and the crew is super customer oriented. We had to make a last minute change to our move date and North Star was able to change the date with less than a week of notice. The crew packed all our items up so quickly without sacrificing quality and were in and out within an hour. Hannes was leading the pick up and explained the moving process to us very thoroughly.

wish they didnt ask for 3 people for piano but that’s their policy–2 would’ve been fine but 3 get the job done faster

These guys moved my 1 bedroom aprtment 35 miles and they did it in 4and 1/2 hours. I was very satisfied with the estimate, and they came in 50 dollars under the original estimate. The overall experience was excellent.

I was really careful about what moving company to use because I used a moving company during my last move, 7 years ago, that didn’t exactly work out. We used Yelp to find these guys and I am so glad that we did!
George, Orlando, and David – were punctual, friendly and f*&!@(! FAST.
Their breaks were quick and they moved like lightning. They took a lot of the stress away from one of the most stressful processes in life!
We didn’t have everything packed up – but they took care of that. Not a problem. I mostly had to watch our toddler while they packed up and I trusted them to do it. They knew what they were doing and they did it so fast. I will recommend and will use them again —— even though I did declare after this move that “I am only moving one more time in my life!!!!!!!”

Decided to go through this service through all of the great yelp reviews. When I first signed up, I got a call from Northstar confirming dates,
time and people needed. They gave me a pretty fair price.
Day of: Adrian, Tobias and Noe was the crew and I could not have asked for a better one. They were super efficient, quick and shockingly strong.
They come PREPARED. Like seriously, I procrastinated packing a lot but these guys are balls to the wall quick in getting things packed and on the truck.
They were able to reassemble slightly complicated ikea bed no problem. All in all, for the price and work it was well worth less pain on my end and less stress.
I will definitely be using these guys again if I ever move.

This is my 3rd experience with North Star, and I have to say that they just keep getting better. Very professional, prompt, and courteous. 3 movers provided the best service that exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend using this company.

Not only they called me ahead of time and came on time, but also took care of all my things, even going the extra mile to make it a very smooth and wonderful experience.

Gret service from a professional, courteous team..Diego, Julio and Tovia who had to drlive the large truck up a narrow dead end, load and then back down again. They were fast and efficient and I would not hesitate to recommend. This job involved bringing items to theisr Hayward storage facility
for moving later cross country.
Chase, Clarence and Henry did a FANTASTIC job today. I had a three hour minimum but they finished in 2 which gave me a lot more time to get unpacked.
They were fast, friendly and took good care of all my things. Would definitely recommend!

As a senior citizen, the thought of moving from L.A. to Iowa was daunting. I’m too old to move myself and I soon found myself deluged with people wanting to give me quotes. Fearing being low balled, I looked up long distance movers on Angie’s list and found NorthStar movers. My call to their
office resulted in Ron Cohen coming to my apartment to evaluate what I planned to move and to give me a quote. I was soon relieved to be dealing with Ron and Northstar. He is very pleasant and professional. He also made some helpful suggestions in response to my questions. (As it happened,
several days later, a new tenant used NorthStar to move into my building and she was very pleased with their service). Ron even made a second trip to help fine tune the amount of furniture and boxes I had decided to take. Bottom Line: I am so pleased with his service that I would recommend Ron
Cohen and NorthStar to anyone contemplating moving, local or long distance.

NorthStar recently moved my office without one single issue. Even when I went into panic mode when I thought we couldn’t make the move happen on our end, Ilan talked me off the ledge and assured me they could make it happen for us no matter what!! The team he provided was professional, efficient, and very hard working! Ilan gave us the quote and the best customer service anyone could ask for — when you are faced with all the facets of a big move like this. What a tremendous relief. This is my first time needing to use a mover so I was nervous. I didn’t know exactly what to expect. But the guys – Chase, Jorge, & John – They showed up at the beginning of the 2-hour window and just started right in. I moved a small apartment and we were done. In just a few hours.

Working with NorthStar was great; they made a stressful cross-country move as easy as possible. Everyone I dealt with during the whole moving
process was always completely professional, and extremely helpful. The office staff kept me informed and updated with emails and phone calls
during every step of the process, and when I called with questions they were always able to give me thorough answers without any delay. They
were also very accommodating to the delivery rules of my new apartment building: since we cannot move in on weekends, the delivery window
for my things was extended by a few days.
On the day of my pick-up, the movers arrived almost immediately at the start of my appointment window and did a very thorough job wrapping each
piece of furniture. I was given an itemized list of my belongings, each piece was tagged with a specific number. Dropping off my things was just as easy, we checked off each piece on the list as they brought it into my new apartment.There were only two points I wasn’t completely satisfied with – first, the original day for my drop-off had to be rescheduled after their delivery truck
broke down, however it took most of the day for them to come to that point. I appreciate that they still wanted to try to bring my things on the original
day, but in the end I just spent the day at home waiting while they tried to fix the truck. It might have been better to just reschedule earlier on. Second,
there was some slight damage done to a TV stand during shipping – the corner was cracked. However, the staff made it very easy to file a claim for
the insurance included in my moving contract, and I received a settlement that will help cover the cost of a new stand.
Overall, I was extremely happy with NorthStar’s service, and highly recommend them.
We had to make a really last minute move from Encino to Santa Clarita and the Northstar guys just made the entire process smooth and painless. They sent out an estimator straight away to give us a quote for the amount of furniture we were moving + the distance – the guy was friendly, helpful and professional. Then the day of the move arrived and a team of guys showed up promptly and got to work immediately.
The guys worked so fast that our final price ended up being almost $1000 dollars less than originally quoted. They were the perfect balance of friendly/helpful and hard-working. I’ve never had a move that’s gone so well! Would definitely use Northstar again.
