I recently had to schedule a move on 3 days worth of notice. Well, my partner called NorthStar on Wednesday, they arrived promptly at the agreed upon time come Friday and everything was squared away in no time. Not only were they quick and professional, the price was more than reasonable. I’d absolutely use them again.
Who knows, Yelp could be a good place to start looking for movers. Yes, that was how I found NorthStar Moving Company.

On the phone, the staff explains what the cost covers and what not. Once you reserve the pickup date, they will send a confirmation email stating everything you need to know about your move.
I packed all my stuffs in boxes and luggages, disassembled my bed frame in advance, so once the guys came, everything was ready to go. However, they do the whole assemble and disassemble things for you, just please tip them.

On time, Hard workers, friendly, and above all great. They helped do all the lifting and working on making things as fast as possible never being rude or making me feel uncomfertable. I would recommend them to any one as there not going to scam you and work with you on moving every leg of the way!!

I had a chance to use these movers again because they were amazing 🙂 this move was on 9 – 17 – 2014 and my movers : hannes, matthew and miguel, we’re nothing short of being on time, punctual, and cheerful the whole time. They got in and out with no problem and always helpful when I need to move again Northstar is who I will call 🙂

Just moved with NorthStar today and the three guys were helpful, careful and made our move really smooth. They got everything done quickly and set us up completely before lunchtime. Great sense of humor and just made it so easy. Everything was wrapped up to keep things safe and nothing was broken. They hustled through the move despite it being a very hot day and we couldn’t be happier with their service. Thank you Hannes, Jose and Nery…you made this a great experience. We’ll definitely be using NorthStar for any future moves!

Josue and his crew were great. Very efficient and never slowed down even when the temperature outside reads 105°. All items were moved without a scratch. This is the third time I’ve used Northstar and they’ve never disappointed. Well done guys!
Great service! Prompt hard workers! Our crew Adrian (team leader), Vidal, Simon and Jason did a fantastic job. They did a long haul move for us from SF to Sacramento. They took good care of my now deceased grandmother’s belongings. I would highly recommend them to anyone!! We will in fact be hiring them again soon and asking for this exact same crew!
John and his team did a great job for our move from the Bay Area to Las Vegas. They were extremely thorough and careful in packing all our items in plastic wrap, blankets, and boxes. In addition, the central office and our estimator Michael were extremely responsive and flexible. Not to mention, our move came out to be extremely cheap with all the promotions NorthStar gives through its initial estimate coupon and Yelp. I can’t believe we even considered going through a self-pack company. In the end, we probably spent the same amount of money as we would have using a self-pack company but saved a lot of time and stress with having actual movers do everything for us. Thank you NorthStar for the great price and service and for taking the stress out of our move.
Gustavo & Dominic moved all of our items quickly and efficiently. After many moves, this was the first time where literally none of our furniture was actually damaged. The team was incredibly courteous and hard working, so I’d gladly recommend them and hire them for future moves.
We just moved from San Mateo to San Jose this past Sunday. We found Northstar through Yelp, and all the reviews are spot on. This is an excellent moving company. They called back promptly when I was searching for a company and getting quotes. They were on time for the move and called the day before and the day of to confirm the time. Our crew was Adrian, Noe, Julio, and Rodolfo, and these guys were amazing. They were extremely hard working, professional, efficient, and careful with all our stuff. They did the job a couple of hours faster than I thought they would, and the price for the service they provided was a great deal. I highly recommend Northstar, and I will definitely used them again on my next move. I will also request Adrian and his crew.
Since I suffered from another movers (overcharging, damage to some items, and a sort of sexual harassing attitude), I started using NorthStar recommended by my friends. They are very professional, taking items very carefully, and always complete in time and no over charge. Furthermore, during my moves, they are always cheerful, even though they are carrying heavy items. Thanks to them, my moves twice in last year was much smoother than supposed to be!
Northstar was on time, professional, and fast, but also careful with all our possessions. The entire move was so easy thanks to Diego, Vidal, Rodoful, and Ricardo. We moved from a two bedroom in San Francisco to our first home in Oakland. From beginning to end, the process took only 4 hours and our items were all in place when the team left. Found a moving company for my relocation from Los Angeles to Sacramento. Heard good things about northstar so decided to give them a try. From start to finish, everyone I interacted with was nothing short of professional. No additional charges except for a “long carry” to my apartment that was totally justified. My 2 bedroom apartment was packed carefully boxed up and shipped without any damage. I have to give a special thanks to both Zack and Michael for their awesome work. Had my stuff in storage for nearly 8 weeks. Went from LA to NY Nd everything was smooth sailing! Nothing damaged or broken. Fairly fast packing and unpacking… Couldnt really fault it and the prices were really good!
