Hannes, Matthew, and Rafa moved us today from their storage facilities to my new apartment. They were on time, professional, and worked in record time. I used North Star movers to move from Los Angeles to San Diego and they did an excellent job. Jose and his team of Kenny and Chris called ahead, showed up on time, and worked very efficiently. They took excellent care of my belongings and also respected the buildings and other residents as well.
The overall time of the move took less than I expected on top of an already reasonable hourly rate for a 3-man crew.

Javier, Victor and Rubio arrived at my dad’s apartment on time and were professional hard workers. Very friendly too and sensitive to the fact that my dad was elderly and hadn’t moved in 36 years. His wife has Alzheimer’s, so the house was in totally disarray. These guys worked hard and quick and are the guys to hire if you want professional service. Also, this company gave me an accurate quote. No “bait & switch” on the price at the end of the move. Great company and excellent customer services by phone reps and movers.
Amazing service. They showed up at promised time worked the entire time they were there. The movers did not hesitate in moving items that were not mentioned in the initial call for reservations. All the items were well taken care of.
There were also no hidden charges nor did the driver take long in getting from my old home to my new home. (Saved me lots of money as a result.).
Ps. This company is much cheaper than using a deal with different movers in conjunction with groupon or living social.
Mark and his crew were true professionals. They arrived on time and ready to work. They listened to my desires regarding handling certain items and made sure they were moved delicately. These guys were fantastic. Jose Barreto and his team with Orlando and Hector were prompt, professional, and extremely efficient. Entire apartment moved in 3 hours flat. They took care to protect my belongings and to treat my building and neighbors with respect. I absolutely recommend these guys for in town moves around Los Angeles.
Moving companies are a dime a dozen nowadays which makes it even harder to find a reputable one. NorthStar was fantastic, i moved a 2 bedroom from a 3rd floor apartment about 20 miles away and it was easy, painless and damage free. The movers took care of all of my furniture, wrapped and padded. They also made quick work of a move out using a common elevator, something that isn’t easy! I will definitely use them again on my next move!

Way overdue review … we moved 10 months ago. NorthStar was great: the crew friendly and on time; careful with our belongings as well as walls & doors & such in both the old and the new place. Nothing broke, nothing scratched. What else is there to say? While I never ever want to move again, I’ll probably have to – and when that day comes, I’ll definitely check in with NorthStar again.

I booked these guys less than a week in advance and they were SO accommodating. I thought for sure all of these yelp reviews were shills. I was pleasantly surprised at their professionalism and great communication. They called me 3 days before to make sure I was still on, and twice on the day of just to clarify the time that they were arriving. When Matthew Armen and Hannes showed up, Hannes made sure to go through all the details on of the move very thoroughly. They were super quick, took excellent care of my things, and asked before they did anything that they weren’t sure of. I couldn’t be happier with this team of dudes. I used another moving company before which a friend recommended to me, night and day compared to North Star. I’m glad I chose north star this time around, I honestly couldn’t be happier! USE THESE GUYS, trust me.
Northstar did a great job moving us over two days. Juan Alvarez, Cesser Mendez, Miugle r and Jose ocampo were fast, pleasant and so helpful. Really appreciate them making what is a stressful experience as manageable as possible.

Used northstar again… For my second move in 7 months. Hannes, Jose & Nery were done in less than two hours, NS gave me a great rate with a two hour minimum which worked great. They were professional, fast and careful with my stuff. Will use NS for all future moves, they did a great job yet again.

I can’t say enough good things about NorthStar Moving Company. I am currently in the process of relocating from San Jose to Denver and I needed to find a reliable company to move my two bedroom condo and storage unit from San Jose to Denver.
After calling and receiving several quotes, I felt the most comfortable with NorthStar. I worked with Michael Pomeroy and several of the dispatchers out of their LA HQ and everyone was friendly, professional and I decided I would use NorthStar for this move. I wouldn’t say that NorthStar was the cheapest option, but I felt they were reasonable and they gave me the piece of mind that they would do the best job and that is always worth a little extra to me.
As anyone that has gone through a relocation out of state knows, this is one of the most stressful things anyone deals with and yesterday was the day the NorthStar team was coming to do the move. I was very stressed the night before and the morning of the move, hoping everything would go smoothly.
As promised, I received a call approximately 30 minutes before the team was to arrive and they were on time (inside of the window I was quoted). They sent a team of four incredibly polite and hard working guys. I have to give a huge thank you to Robert Barragan (the team leader), he was exceptional. I live in a building with a strict HOA and I explained the rules that they have for movers. Robert listened, explained to his team how they needed to work and I didn’t have one complaint (which is saying a lot because people in my building complain about everything). Robert took the time to inventory all of my items and I can’t stress enough how great he was to work with. He runs the LA team and if you have a chance to work with him and these guys you will not be disappointed. They worked so hard, and they took extra special time and care to make sure everything was wrapped up perfectly.
They finally loaded everything on the truck and now I will wait to receive a call to get a better idea of when the truck will arrive in Denver. If the team that unloads is half as good as Robert’s team, I will be very happy.

Hannes, Geovani and Matthew were on time in their arrival and were extremely respectful of my belongings. The new place had the carpets cleaned and I lay plastic down which they were very diligent in staying on. They were very good-natured and were very fast and getting in and out. I’ve had a lot of movers drag their feet going to and from and these guys were far from that. Would highly recommend and would definitely use again.
The guys from Northstar…Jadiel, Patrick, Miguel, Luis Sala, Luis, did the best moving job we’ve ever had!
