I moved recently from San Jose, CA to Dallas,TX. I am really happy with the service I got , from the quote estimation( Thanks to Jimmy Cardenas), pick up to the delivery. I was amazed with the guys that did the pick up . They packed all our furniture carefully, the guys were really nice. you can see they know what they are doing. Special thanks to Numar or Nimar (I hope I wrote his name correctly) and his 2 guys. It took them 3 hours to pack our 1 bedroom apartment because they had to pack all the furniture, 2 TVs, etc in blankets and wrap sheets.Great Job.

This is my 4th move with NorthStar and they deserve 5 stars for every move! Gadi is amazing! He took care of us like it was his own move. He is very easy to work with, informative and accommodating. Moving quotes are quick and accurate. The moving crews were always on time, efficient and careful Plus, they were hard working and personable. All in all, NorthStar made the packing and moving experience painless.

I have used movers for my past 5 moves and these gentlemen were the best. The girls in the office who first contacted me were very helpful. Because I was worried about the costs they offered to have an estimator come to my home for free and give me a “not to exceed” price. When Ron arrived at the house he was professional and very nice. He explained how everything would work and looked to make sure I did not need extra packing help or more boxes, etc.. He was even encouraging and supportive about the MESS which was my house. He gave me a few options to save me some money and I was very happy with the price. When the movers showed up they were on time and very nice. I had two deliveries to make and they organized everything perfectly. Both drop offs went smooth and they actually finished before we had expected so they saved me a little bit of money. YAY!! Nothing was damaged or dirty and they set up the rooms just like I wanted. I was so impressed. I will be recommending them to all my friends and family for sure. It is worth the money to have peace of mind.
Great job! Team of guys were super efficient, very careful with antique furniture. One of the movers even hugged my 80-year old great aunt and gave me some chess tips. In a word, wow.

When there was a mix-up with the new landlord about when we could receive our keys, I called Jackie to change the moving day and she quickly sent a confirmation email with the new date.
When the condo’s building manager said he needed to see the moving company’s certificate of insurance 3 business days before the move was scheduled, I called Jackie again. Her co-worker Stefy ensured that all of the condo’s requirements were met and faxed the documentation to them by the next morning.
The movers were scheduled to arrive between 8 and 10. Jesus and his team showed up a little before 9am. They efficiently packed our TV and moved quickly, despite the building’s old, tiny elevator. Everything was in their truck in less than an hour and a half. They managed to move everything into our new place in roughly an hour, and nothing was broken. All throughout the process, Jesus and his team did everything they could to ensure that moving was less stressful for me.

Though NorthStar is a little pricey on a per hour basis, the $125 off Yelp deal placed NorthStar within competitive pricing with other movers I’d spoken to, and I was sold. When I told other moving companies that I was going with NorthStar, ever single one told me that NorthStar was a great moving company. Their competition! I know, right?!

This was a local move within the city. I’ve pared down my stuff to a smallish set (see George Carlin “stuff” routine). Some assembly / disassembly required and a few flights of stairs.
They sent a working manager with 2 staff. Nemer was my guy and he brought along the 2 Rodolphos.
Bottom line is the truck and the help were more than enough for my stuff, and they took care of everything within the estimated time with no surprise charges or other issues.

I’d like to compliment Diego, Sheldon, and Marcos on the great job they did moving us into our new place. They made a great first impression by arriving on time, and worked efficiently yet carefully throughout the morning. We were very happy with the care that they took in wrapping some of our more delicate items, especially our big t.v. It arrived in one piece, without a scratch. Overall, we were very happy with the move, and would definitely recommend this crew to others.
This is actually the first Yelp review I’ve ever written.
Recently used NorthStar for the second time for our relatively close move from Santa Monica to Culver City. Submitted my info on their website and quickly received a call to schedule the move. Was informed by Ted Tindall that I could purchase a voucher on Yelp for $50 that would give me $125 off my move (looks like that has since changed to $100).
On the day of the move, Allen and crew showed up right on time, even though they were coming from a move in Irvine. I can’t say enough about their level of professionalism. The company has a 3 hour minimum (which I suspect is pretty standard), and our move took 3.25 hours. Such a painless experience, I will never move again without calling NorthStar.

Used NorthStar Moving a 2nd time and again impressed with outstanding service. The guys were not only on time but moved quickly to get my stuff out of storage and into an apt.
Not to mention Diana Vargas was amazing!! She helped me schedule and reschedule my move several times as I was out of the country and dates of arrival kept moving around. She was so easy to work with and really helpful.

The movers had great attitudes and worked hard. While we only went one mile, we sure had a lot of stuff. I have lost the card they gave me with their names (gimme a break, I just moved!) but I know one guy was Augustine. Good guys, got it done. Thanks!
I have used NSM as my moving company for my last 3 moves and each time was better than the next! This move took me from the valley to city and it was quick and painless.. not to mention very affordable! I was helped by a great 3 man crew that compromised of Mike Ktcham, Freddie Ortiz, and Jose Prada.. They were fast, professional, and very courteous… There are many options out there but when moving next look no further than NorthStar Movers!

Excellent customer service!! Stephi in the office was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. Ilan came out to give our free estimate. He was friendly and professional. He worked with us on the pricing and made sure to mention the yelp deal. Everything was above and beyond what you would expect from a moving company, or really any service company for that matter. NorthStar has single-handedly handled all of my moving since 2007. I use them every time because they’re friendly, efficient, and reliable. Moving is ALWAYS stressful, but somehow having NorthStar there to assist lowers my anxiety, at least a little. I will continue to use them every time – happily.
Moving sucks – packing, unpacking, the whole bit. Northstar moving company made the experience so much easier – they are worth every penny and then some.
Ilan arrived at my door and he was extremely polite and knowledgeable. He gave me tips on what should be in boxes and what to bundle to save time for the movers = meaning that he was saving me money. He was so helpful and informative (even telling me about the yelp deal) that I was instantly blown away by his professionalism and this company. I called my husband and told him my experience and we immediately decided this was the company for us. My next call was to the other two moving companies we had coming for an estimate to cancel, then I called Ilan to say we would love to do business with him.
The movers did not disappoint – they came, packed, and moved with an efficiency and speed that makes me wonder why they don’t have capes? They were polite and respectful, sociable, and gracious for the protein bars and cold water bottles. (How are people so rude to not offer these things to people LITERALLY doing the heavy lifting for your move?) They met us at our new place the next day with the same efficiency and speed at UNPACKING and had us ready to settle in our new place in a matter of hours. It was such a treat for me, as I’m someone who usually gathers friends and family for a move and having it take an entire weekend just to get our stuff to a new place. Not even mentioning the unpacking and the rest of it.
I highly recommend having professional movers everytime you move, b/c they know how to pack and how to move it quickly – the time you save on that alone is worth the money you spend. And if you want GOOD people who know what they’re doing for a reasonable price, then Northstar Movers is who you want.
