This was the first time we used a moving service. We moved from Los Angeles to Illinois. We had read through reviews seen all the horror stories, about companies ripping people off, breaking furniture and personal item, stealing while in the house, holding belongings hostage for more money and delivery address. Well to say the least we were very nervous and apprehensive going into this! But, we hit the jackpot with Northstar, from our first contact with the receptionist to the virtual quote, to my hundreds of questions to the local movers to the very end at delivery everyone was great and eager to help. No games everything was up front and honest. No changes in cost, or dates. Or times. The local movers were awesome very clean respectful and carful, same as on delivery end. Everything made it,and everything arrived in perfect condition except one small mirror broke. I can not recommend these guys enough such a great job, and amazing customer service.
I will not use any other movers…..these guys were great, I thought I booked my senior mothers move for Saturday only to find out I forgot to confirm, these guys came through and moved my mom on a Sunday! yes s Sunday! saved my day, awesome team…. thank you Tony and your fabulous team

This is my second move with Northstar, and once again, they did not disappoint. Ramiro and his team gave us absolutely the best service over two days of a move. Each team member was quick but careful, getting our things moved with an hour to spare each day. They were kind and professional, and extremely helpful in getting the rooms set up. I highly recommend this company and team.

I don’t post a lot of reviews, but I had such an amazing experience with Northstar that I had to leave a review.
They helped to pack and move my belongings from Los Angeles to New Jersey and they were professional, efficient, communicative, and speedy! They wrapped everything with extreme care. I was in contact with 3 different Northstar reps who helped me step-by-step through everything. They gave me frequent updates about the cross-country status and although the delivery date could’ve been as long as a month, they arrived in 1 week, which was incredible.
Northstar helped take so much stress off of a cross-country move and I had no problem relying on them. I hope I never have to move across the country again but if I was, I would totally choose Northstar again!
10.5 years ago, I used NorthStar to move from
the Inland Empire (that’s East of LA for non-locals) to a one-bedroom apt in West Hollywood. That move involved hitting a storage facility and was involved; NorthStar handled it like champs!
So much so, that they were first on my mind when I contemplated moving from that same apartment 10 years later. They were responsive when I called, remembered I used them before, offered me a loyalty discount and promptly set up a virtual walkthrough with me.
There are cheaper companies, but you get what you pay for. NorthStar are PROFESSIONALS. I received a confirmation tested then a call from Albert with an ETA this morning. I tried to pack myself and ran out of steam and boxes. I had odds and ends strewn about when they arrived this morning. I was tired, haggard, stressed and apologetic, but the guys were incredibly reassuring and immediately bolstered my confidence and faith they could handle it efficiently.
They did, y’all. Big time. They worked their asses
off finishing my packing and taking incredible care with my belongings. All in some pretty marked heat. Most importantly, they did it with a smile and pleasant attitude.
Unloading was even more of a breeze! NorthStar takes the guesswork, stress and anxiety out of moving. Simply put, USE THEM. You won’t be sorry (but you may be if you don’t)!

I had a ton of stuff, guys. Like – a TON. And try though I did (I packed 45 boxes myself), there was so much more to account for.
It’s all in my new home and I’m enjoying a glass of wine with no worries. All thanks to NorthStar.

Able and richie were terrific. They were on time and efficient. We would definitely recommend north star.
We are almost finished unpacking from our local LA move, which was made SO much easier by Cesar, Luis, William, Milton, and Darwin. A friend recommended this company and they were amazing. We watched them haul heavy furniture and boxes in our first location and we were equally amazed when they unloaded without seeming tired at all in the next house. They were very fast, but not careless at all. Our new house was painted white and I was so afraid the walls would be beat up, but not a scratch! We’ve had bad experiences in the past and we will always use this company! Moving is not cheap, but we could not have done this move so efficiently without them!!!
PS–when I got on to write this review, I noticed someone said they were offered $ for a good review. We were not offered anything at all for a review!! Just did one to spread the word and make another person’s move easier;)
