Very professional work in a great timely manner. Albert, Wilbert, and Andres all did a great job and I was so happy with how my place looked after the job was done. I used Northstar Movers for my move from Marina del Rey to Manhattan Beach, highly recommend! Albert and Wilbert were my movers and they were fast, friendly, and efficient. Wrapped my items carefully, moved everything quickly, and without any damage. They also cleaned up the leftover wrapping and left everything tidy. Will definitely hire them again for any future moves!
I’ve heard enough stories about terrible movers that I was really, really hesitant to hire any. But alas, the time has finally come where I now own too much junk to just U-Haul it.
I went with NorthStar on an absolute whim and everything about the experience was top notch.
NorthStar has a really great phone process where you’re routed to the same customer service rep each time, and it makes it so much easier to be speaking to a familiar voice who already knows your move details. Katherine was my point person and she handled my laundry list of questions like a champ.
On moving day, Manny and his team gave me a call 30 minutes before arrival just like I was told, and were so incredibly friendly and professional. They disassembled my furniture, shrink wrapped, and labeled everything with the utmost of care. They even kindly helped me stack and optimize the space in my small storage unit, which they totally didn’t have to!

These guys are the best! I have a very difficult location on a dead end street up in the hills and they sent a truck out to scout not once but twice! The driver was a real pro, very patient. They did a very thorough job and kept in good spirits to the very end despite it being 95 degrees and my house having a lot of stairs. The customer service for the bid was also great, super thorough and kind. Highly recommend!

This company has great communication and understanding. I had booked a move with them the day before I had to move and they fulfilled there part even though I had to cancel last minute. They were so understanding and responded positively to the bad news I gave them and for that 5 stars. I recommend highly.

I just had NorthStar handle a long distance move. What a great crew!! They were professional and had everything in place ahead of schedule and went above and beyond to make sure I was settled in. I had such a wonderful experience with this company. I was under a lot of stress moving my godmother across the country all while I was remote in another state and everything went so smooth. But most of all the driver Rafael and his team in Florida went above an beyond for us. We made last minute changes and decisions and they were so accommodating. My godmother felt happy and safe at her new residence/facility with hugs from Rafael! They even made her bed up for her. I’m so grateful for them and the ease they provided during a stressful time where I couldn’t physically be there to oversee everything. Thank you so much Rafael, Eran, Yonah, Bruce, and Jason!!!

We just had our second move with NorthStar and returned for good reason – they’re great. Arrived on time, handled loading an entire house and several unwieldy delicate objects, and delivered it/unpacked/and checked in with us throughout to make sure objects were placed as we wished.

Our crew was Kevin R, Jefferson A, and Jose G. Best moving experience I’ve ever had. These guys were absolutely amazing! Showed up on time and worked fast. Super gracious and polite and even helped us set up furniture that was being delivered at the same time. We had a few last minute items they needed to box up and they did so without the slightest fuss. Totally went the extra mile for us. Just a good group of guys with great attitudes. I will use Northstar for every single move at this point.
I was so hesitant on hiring movers for the first time. But having a back injury and friends schedules not lining up I took the risk and oh was I worrying for nothing. Emmanuel and Santos were in charge of my 1 apartment move. And they made sure everything and anything with what I wanted was heard. They made the move seem as if it was their own move. The amount of care and consideration is outstanding. The move provided weird angles and turns but they adapted and ensured everything was how I wanted. Every aspect of my move with NSM was incredible. They responded to me within a few hours from my initial inquiry. The woman that I spoke to over the phone arranged everything perfectly for me. They had availability and were very helpful and explaining all the different services they could offer to support my move.
Flash forward to moving day, Manny, Alfonso, and Willy were freaking awesome. They showed up on time, were incredibly efficient, were super personable and nice, and honestly a joy to work with all around. They handled all of my items with care and did an amazing job wrapping and unpacking.

this company is fantastic!!! i moved from los angeles to new york in spring 2022, and from my first phone call to northstar to the unpacking of my last box in brooklyn, i knew i was in good hands and that they’re really, really good at this. moving can be such a traumatic, stressful and scary experience, and they made it shockingly easy. they delivered white-glove service to this white-knuckled customer. i know that sounds corny. it’s also true.
alex (thank you!) inventoried the contents of my house in a thorough video call and was patient and attentive through several followup calls and emails in which i kept adjusting that inventory and changing my mind about what i wanted to keep and what i wanted to throw out. alex and kristi (thank you!) talked me through my insurance options. on moving day, four men showed up exactly on time and took about four hours to pack up the entire contents of my house (i literally didn’t touch a box) and sort out and tag everything that was going to brooklyn and everything that was to be disposed (i was still changing/updating my mind as they worked). they were efficient, careful and just plain nice. really!
they gave me a three-week window for the actual delivery on the other side of the country, and delivered everything (actually, another company does the delivery, though northstar makes all the arrangements) on day one of that window. nothing was harmed. nothing was out of place.
a million thanks to everyone at northstar (i also dealt with julie, valery and emily) for removing 99 percent of the stress from a stressful life event, and making it, weirdly, almost fun. five stars, easy.
