I am late on writing this review about our experience with Northstar Moving Company. However, I’ll just say that it was Amazing! We had the honor of watching these four men do a great job. The names were as follows: (It was difficult for me to read their handwriting, so I apologize if I made mistakes with their last names) The hard working, honest and careful men were as follows:
Austin Bastian (Lead), Adam Derr, Noah Harker, and Albert Northrup.
With that being shared, I wanted to say THANK YOU guys!!!!
They got all of our 3 bedroom apartment completely packed and delivered in one day. They were an awesome group of guys! We only did a small amount of work ourselves packing and getting organized. Because of this reason, we expected that this would be a two day job. However, as I mentioned earlier, all was done in one day. This included taking our beds apart and then putting the beds together once we got into our new place. For all our future moves, we will only use Northstar Moving Company. We LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!
They have moved me several times and not once have I regretted it. Their long distance group is a little better than their local guys but not by much. Getting ready to hire them again.
Their contact with me before the move was excellent in that they provide details about how the move would go (timeline & cost), and checked back with me before the move. And provided email communication so that we could exchange information in a timely manner. All exceeded my expectations.
On move day a crew of strong workers showed up. They focused on the task of loading the truck while sharing a few thoughts about to improve the process. Once we were done at the old location they headed to lunch and the new location.
At the new locate again it was all hands to the task at hand. Professional with extra care not to damage anything at the new location.
They were done on time and within my budget.
I would hire them again in a heart beat.
Shout out to Alex (estimator), Juan, Elias, and Jose (movers) who were tremendously helpful with my recent cross-country move. They were all so nice, professional, efficient and trustworthy. It was the first time ever I literally sat back and truly trusted the team to do a great job. The delivery window for the truck to arrive cross-country even got moved up by a week and the company kept me informed at every step. I would not hesitate to recommend NorthStar – truly an exceptional service!
Moving is stressful. It’s worse than stressful. When these guys do it, it’s a pleasure. It’s almost fun. Michael Hernandez and his crew took care of everything. They work extremely hard, extremely fast and yet somehow are so careful – not a single scratch. They care for stuff as if it’s their own. I was behind and had some uncovered boxes, etc. They took care of all that, no questions asked. They also wrapped everything carefully and securely without being told to do so. I’m so grateful to these gentlemen and this company.
Hands down , they were absolutely AWESOME!!! I would give them 6 stars if they had them. On time, fast, professional. they packed us up, organized everything even beat us to our new home. They quickly unloaded our things. The price was an excellent value on top of everything else.
The entire team was top notch, from their offices contacting and confirming our appointment, to a follow up call to make sure everything went well.

We hired North Star for our move a couple of weeks ago and they were OUTSTANDING! Really, I can’t say enough about how wonderful the entire experience and crew were!
The virtual home walk-thru that Gil guided me through was effortless and he sent me an estimate right away and shared helpful tips for preparing for our move.
I also appreciated that the day before the move, someone called us to confirm and see if we had any questions.
Our move took 2 days and the crew (Ramiro, Kevin & Juan) were very organized and professional and had great positive & happy energy that was much appreciated during the hectic two days. They were also very considerate and caring towards our little Jack Russell who was stressed because of all of the activities.
And, Gil’s follow-up after the move was appreciated!
We’ll certainly be hiring them again in the future as well and recommending them to anyone we know who has moving needs!

We had an amazing experience with Northstar. Due to Covid, Alan the estimator knocked out a digital walkthrough of our 2.5 bed apartment in SF in about 10 minutes and sent us the not-to-exceed quote within a day.
On moving day Abraham, the lead, called me on the way to let me know his exact ETA. When they arrived (Abraham, Adrian, Jason, and Ermon) we did a walk around the apartment and then it was off to the races! They quoted us an 8 hour move and it was out and into the new place in 6 hours, including 45 minutes of travel time. It ended up being faster and cheaper than anticipated and the guys were a pleasure to work with. The moved couches, beds, dressers, tables, peleton, everything without issue.
These guys killed it, we’ll be recommending them to anyone who needs help.
I estimated incorrectly how much stuff I had. The movers worked non stop and got the job done!!
They guys did a fantastic job! They worked quickly and were thorough with packing all of my items and managed to fit a difficult couch through a tight door. I would absolutely recommend them!

– took their time to pack right! I bought insurance for TV and monitors after hearing some scary stories from other people, but our LG OLED TV and all the monitors were unharmed. One of the guys unpacking said, “they packed as if you were moving to another planet.”
– meticulous documentation. They wrote every item and put a numbered sticker on each packed item that I was able to check them off when receiving them. Every one of them arrived in perfect condition.
– affordable. I got a quote 4-5times higher than from NS by some other company. I worried about the quality of the service because the NS estimate was comparable to PODs, but I believe it was a definitely better experience than PODs. These guys packed and assembled all the furniture for us. This is so great!

These guys were amazing! They made the horrible experience of moving (two days – three trucks – ugh!) and made it pleasant! Ask for these guys by name: Johan, Augustino, Robert, & David. They were big, strong, friendly, and extremely conscientious. They worked long, hard, hours and were respectful of the property as well as the items being moved. The price was reasonable and the service was beyond compare. This was a cross town move but we’ll be moving cross country in a year and I will definitely be calling NorthStar.
This was my second move with NorthStar and Isael and his crew did a phenomenal job. Really excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and they packed everything very carefully. I was amazed how quickly they worked and everything was cleaned up afterwards. Wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

After finding my apartment I had about a week left to pack up my old place and move into the new.
I wasn’t sure how much moving a 1 bed apartment would be but assumed a lot especially with added packing.
I called NorthStar to get an estimate and spoke to Lotem- she was really lovely & bubbly!
She was able to get prices together for me easily and ended up helping me decide on 3 movers with packing.
The price was way better than I expected.

the guys arrived and immediately split up, one guy packed my kitchen- the other worked on the walk in closet and my room. I’ve never seen anything more efficient!
They had boxes, tape, bubble wrap and blankets for my TVS!
They did a fantastic job and packed up pretty quickly…
Once we got to the new apartment they helped move furniture into the correct spaces, put the furniture back together that they had dismantled and also took with them all the extra boxes that I managed to unpack whilst they brought everything up.
I’m absolutely thrilled with the level of customer care!

Awesome experience moving!! It went way faster than we expected, nothing was damaged and the guys were super nice! We had Jonathan, Miguel and Adam. They were amazing.
Highly recommend, they moved a very heavy and fragile antique item from the early 1900s with no problem at all. I am so relieved. Great experience overall.
I’m giving 5 stars because I can’t give 10. Everyone around the business was so helpful and nice. Our movers, Austin, Connor, and Miguel, were absolutely outstanding- they packed my moving pod in less than an hour, and somehow fit everything in. Absolutely fantastic movers!

NorthStar sent us Carlos, Leo & Jose for our move on Friday morning 5/7. They did an amazing job! On time, great communication, so much care and consideration for our belongings, professionalism and absolutely the kindest & hardest working guys. Good communication. The team worked hard. Moving sucks and they certainly made it much easier.
Albert, Wilber, and Carlos Crew were tasked with moving a 10x15x10 storage unit filled from wall to wall to ceiling and loading into a U-Pack Trailer I was sending across country.
They Emptied that Storage Unit in around an hour. Amazing!
Then I tasked them to help me stay at the 17 linear feet of trailer I had paid for and marked with tape. Stating only if we can pack it as high and tight as you can and not to exceed that 17 ft if they could. In 1 hr they had unloaded all the items and packed them so well they only used 13 linear feet of the trailer saving me $1,000.00 in transport cost. I was forever grateful.
I have always used Northstar for my moves because all the crews I have had work efficiently and they are truly pros at what they do. You will never be disappointed with their work I can guarantee that.

The guys that came out were super nice and helpful. My move fell under their minimum fees because it was too light, but they were pretty careful even knowing that I was donating everything to a local thrift store. Showed up on time and delivered to the store. Would definitely use again!
