Albert and his team from NorthStar did a fantastic job with my move. They were helpful, professional, and hard working. We were able to move my 1000 sq ft place in just under three hours and when I needed to pack away a few things, they were able to help with all the supplies I needed.
They did a wonderful job wrapping and transporting my art and delicate furniture. They were punctual down to the minute of the 30 minute arrival phone call estimate. I would definitely use them again. No complaints whatsoever!

I had a great experience with NorthStar – they saved me after I was left hanging by another company (lowball bid and no show the day of the move). Kate at NorthStar was completely understanding, was quick to respond, and secured a moving team for me within days. John and his team that handled the pickup in CA were totally professional. They re-packed a lot of my boxes (that were admittedly poorly packed) and made an itemized list of every box that went into the truck. They promised delivery within 20 days, but in fact, their dispatcher Cesar contacted me a few days after pickup to let me know that my stuff would be arriving only a week after pickup which was fantastic news. Albert and Wilbur were top notch professional packers that any company should be proud to employ. They took great care packing up my most valuable items including a 185lb digital piano, a hydrow, and 65 & 55 Inch OLED TV’s. These folks made our move smooth and painless. They were clear at communicating, packed us all up–carefully calling out anything that already had a ding or scratch on it so everything was carefully catalogued–and they thoughtfully took apart and reassembled furniture. NorthStar moved me from Los Angeles to San Francisco. Yesterday, three movers – Juan, Jose and Ruben – went the extra mile to move some very big, very heavy furniture up a flight of stairs. They were determined to get the job done and worked extremely hard. They provided excellent service.

Our experience with NorthStar was superb. Albert and his team did a terrific job for us on a local move. They were on time, professional, courteous, patient, careful and efficient. We are completely satisfied with the service and wholeheartedly recommend this moving company.
They made everything easy. Of all the places I called early on during the pandemic, they were the only ones who said their workers will wear masks, so I went with them even though they were a bit pricier than the other options I called. Better safe than sorry.
The guys did a great job on our move to our new place. They came on a Friday, wrapped and packed our belongings and then they moved us the next morning to our new place. Splitting the move up into two days really made it a lot less stressful for us. They guys were professional, courteous and just a pleasure to deal with.
Albert (the foreman), Santos and Carlos were awesome! They went above and beyond to make sure our moving day went well. They answered every question we had and got all of our stuff delivered without a scratch. 10/10. Will definitely use NorthStar again.
TL:DR – Albert and his team arrived early, were courteous, professional, and did NOT waste time. Time is money! That does not mean they were careless; they were careful with all items and helped with placement and made sure floors and walls were not nicked or dinged. I would highly recommend this team.
Long Version – Had a move from LA to the IE and reached out to a few companies. A couple I just didn’t get the right vibe and NorthStar was the one consistently responding back to email.
They recommended a Sunday move due to traffic (and to ensure a quicker move cause you do get charged by the hour). Anyway, got the courtesy call to confirm move was still on a couple days before, and then another call that they were 30m out.
They did WORK on my place and got the stuff out the door QUICK (after wrapping it with plastic and blankets and such). I met them at my new place and after a walkthrough of where everything should go, they rolled out the red carpet and some additional blankets so as to not walk around the carpet.
Got me loaded up and all set at my new place in about an hour (had some stairs and some heavy ass furniture) and set it up BEAUTIFULLY. Did a final walkthrough and everything looked great. Even knew how I wanted to set up my office without my asking! (Though they did tell me if I wanted it different they would rearrange).
All in all, one of the best, if not the best move I’ve had, and I’ve been all over from ATL to CHI and in-between.

I highly recommend NorthStar Moving Company! They were responsive and helpful from start to finish. We recently moved (within the same city) from an apartment to a house.
I did some research and reached out to various moving companies to compare prices. We chose NorthStar based on the quotes provided and the reviews here. We’d also had a friend who used NorthStar right when SIP hit–my friend had a young toddler and was 8 months pregnant at the time, and NorthStar did a great job.
I spoke to Emily and had a few emails back and forth before we agreed to terms and signed. We chose a morning window and received a call from Jose 30 mins prior to their arrival. All three movers were masked, introduced themselves and familiarized themselves with everything that had to be moved. My husband talked to them, describing where different furniture items would go in our new home (important later!)
They got to work and were incredibly fast! We felt bad because we had some last minute packing to do, but they were able to work around us and get a lot done. They wrapped our furniture in moving blankets and shrink wrap when appropriate, and quickly moved everything into the truck. Once we arrived at our new home, they unloaded everything quickly, placing furniture where my husband had described earlier. Since we had started in the morning and it was early afternoon, we provided lunch and they were very gracious.
Again, I highly recommend this company–they are fast, friendly, affordable, efficient and nothing was damaged in the move. As a side note, one of our neighbors at our apartment had also hired movers to move items from her garage into the truck. NorthStar was able to not only move us out of our old apartment, but also move us IN to our new place before these guys even filled the back of their truck!
Absolutely outstanding from start to finish. We really put them through the ringer, and they responded with nothing but professionalism and courtesy. Our contact throughout the process, Gil, was of particular help. The crew that came to do the actual move was extremely efficient and couldn’t have been nicer (Manny, Willy, and their associates). It’s so refreshing to find such a helpful company in a business that doesn’t exactly have the best reputation. Highly recommend!

We hired North Star for our local move and the team we got (Johan G, David N, Juan G, Enrique P and Kevin R) was AMAZING. We honestly couldn’t be happier. They started early in the morning, calling to confirm they were on their way. Some services say they’ll do that and then don’t actually call. That was not the case with Johan.
The entire team was personable, efficient, and thoughtful. Our last move was all the way into the evening hours so they really knocked our expectations out of the park. I’d definitely use North Star again. If you’re going to book your move, specifically request this team and they’ll take care of you.
No one enjoys the process of moving, honestly. But Johan’s team definitely made it a breeze. Can’t say enough good things.
Awesome service! Johan, Jorge, Andres helped with everything from my tv to my fridge to my bed. It was great to see how careful and thorough they are. Really felt like they treated my stuff as if it were their own.
I am late on writing this review about our experience with Northstar Moving Company. However, I’ll just say that it was Amazing! We had the honor of watching these four men do a great job. They got all of our 3 bedroom apartment completely packed and delivered in one day. They were an awesome group of guys! We only did a small amount of work ourselves packing and getting organized. Because of this reason, we expected that this would be a two day job. However, as I mentioned earlier, all was done in one day. This included taking our beds apart and then putting the beds together once we got into our new place. For all our future moves, we will only use Northstar Moving Company. We LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!
They have moved me several times and not once have I regretted it. Their long distance group is a little better than their local guys but not by much. Getting ready to hire them again.
Their contact with me before the move was excellent in that they provide details about how the move would go (timeline & cost), and checked back with me before the move. And provided email communication so that we could exchange information in a timely manner. All exceeded my expectations.
On move day a crew of strong workers showed up. They focused on the task of loading the truck while sharing a few thoughts about to improve the process. Once we were done at the old location they headed to lunch and the new location.
At the new locate again it was all hands to the task at hand. Professional with extra care not to damage anything at the new location.
They were done on time and within my budget.
I would hire them again in a heart beat.

It was the first time ever I literally sat back and truly trusted the team to do a great job. The delivery window for the truck to arrive cross-country even got moved up by a week and the company kept me informed at every step. I would not hesitate to recommend NorthStar – truly an exceptional service!
Moving is stressful. It’s worse than stressful. When these guys do it, it’s a pleasure. It’s almost fun. Michael Hernandez and his crew took care of everything. They work extremely hard, extremely fast and yet somehow are so careful – not a single scratch. They care for stuff as if it’s their own. I was behind and had some uncovered boxes, etc. They took care of all that, no questions asked. They also wrapped everything carefully and securely without being told to do so. I’m so grateful to these gentlemen and this company.
Hands down , they were absolutely AWESOME!!! I would give them 6 stars if they had them. On time, fast, professional. they packed us up, organized everything even beat us to our new home. They quickly unloaded our things. The price was an excellent value on top of everything else.
