We had a very successful move thanks to NorthStar Moving Company. Austin, Noah, and Hamid were efficient, professional, organized, and communicative. They packed fragile items very carefully; they asked and listened intently about where we wanted each item placed; and they executed with such astonishing speed, completing everything an hour and 15 minutes under the estimate and reducing our overall cost. These three couldn’t have done a better job making our new apartment home and we highly recommend using NorthStar for your next move!

We found NorthStar on Yelp when looking for moving companies that could both move us out of DTLA and store our items until we found a new place. We chose to use their services and had a great experience. The guys were efficient and got things moved quicker than we had planned. They wrapped all the furniture securely with moving blankets and stickered everything so they could track it (stickers were never directly on exposed surfaces and were all easy to take off). They used some of their own boxes to pack up stray stuff and had plenty of wardrobe boxes for our hanging clothes. They broke down big pieces like the couch and bed and reassembled them in the new space. They were able to easily get everything out of our 5th floor condo.
When they brought everything to our new house a couple months later, everything looked just like it did when they originally moved it out. They rolled out a piece of carpet from the front door into the living room so they wouldn’t scratch the floors with the dollies. We had two small breaks (one glass, one cheap plastic wheel), which is nothing to us considering we had at least 50 boxes total. The lead guy was chill and professional and easy to fill out paperwork with. All workers wore masks for CoVid safety. Overall we’re very happy we ended up going with NorthStar!
Big props to NorthStar Moving for my recent move. Armando and his crew were most excellent. It was not an easy move because there is no elevator in my building and things had to be carried up three flights of stairs, with some difficult angles. Armando and his crew did it perfectly, quickly and courteously. From making the appointment, to getting follow-ups from Kate, to finishing the job, it all made the usually difficult task of moving a breeze. I will recommend NorthStar to all my friends in need of moving services. Especially since it’s always my friends that ask ME to help them. Hire the best and get it done right. Hire NorthStar!
NorthStar Movers are exceptional! The entire process was easy and straightforward. The video walkthrough of my place allowed for a clear quote so that I knew the maximum amount I’d have to pay. When moving day came — the team was so efficient for my move from Los Feliz to DTLA. They were so efficient, in fact, that the total was much less than the quote. I’d recommend NorthStar Movers to anyone!
Couldn’t recommend them enough. They were punctual, handled all my things with extreme care. They were very meticulous, careful, polite and worked very fast. The new place I moved into had the wooden floors re-done and the walls newly painted – they put carpet runners down to protect the floors and made sure not to lean or brush anything against the walls – they were SUPER careful. I thought moving would be stressful but they were so great – I got everything done in 2 hours. It was a delight. Thank you NorthStar for making what I thought would be a stressful day – a breeze.
This company is great. We have moved 4 times in the last 10 years and used 3 different moving companies and Northstar was the best of all. They were the lowest bid and the material amounts they quoted we’re accurate. They also gave use a not-to-exceed price after doing their virtual walk-through. Other companies did not want to give us fixed price bids and added extra movers to the quote that we did not need.
The first day of packing they rolled out mats to protect the floors and did a walk through to make sure they understood exactly what we wanted them to move. The three-man team was really careful and respectful of our belongings and even moved a fridge that was not in the bid.
After the packing was done, they came back the next day to move our stuff, which filled up their 26 foot truck almost entirely. They were professional and even suggested an alternate storage unit after the one we had secured had issues.
The whole time they worked really hard and we felt we definitely got our money worth. They showed up on time and also called ahead each day. They also gave us updates throughout the whole process so we knew it was going smoothly. Without a doubt I would recommend them to anyone no matter how are or small their move is.
A couple of tips regardless of any company you choose:
Buy them lunch if you can and tip them 10% or more if you are happy with the job.
NorthStar Moving did an awesome job helping us move to our new home from start to finish. Ron did a great job getting us an estimate via FaceTime because of Covid 19. He explained everything clearly and we had a good idea of how all the pricing worked.
I also have to give a huge shout out to the three guys that came out on move in day. Albert, Michael, and George were all fantastic. They were on time, professional and friendly. They went above and beyond to move our stuff out. They did an equally great job of working with us to move our stuff into our new home.
I would definitely recommend NorthStar Moving. Moving is stressful but they really made our move go smoothly. On top of great service the cost was lower than other companies that we got estimates from. Give them a call if you’re looking for a moving company!
If you are like me, RELOCATING is one of the worst experiences one can go through. NorthStar Moving Company made the entire move effortless, easy & organized starting with the virtual tour of belongings for a price quote. The 4 gentlemen moving me from an 800sf + garage to a 1850sf home + garage took care and caution with everything from the boxes of china and glassware to the brooms in the garage. I had a cat hiding that needed to be caged. The guys helped me catch and crate the cat & were very compassionate of my animals. NorthStar has competitive prices. I’d HIGHLY recommend NorthStar Moving Company to anyone!

I had my move yesterday, and I could not have been happier with the customer service from NorthStar Moving Company, particularly Lorena (scheduling my move and answering my questions) and the day-of crew of Juan, Elias, and Jose. They were friendly, moved quickly, were careful (they used lots of moving pads), on time, and helpful. I did most of the packing for my move, but I did ask them to pack the kitchen. I’m very happy with that decision. There were no surprises on the price, I was quote 1hr travel time + 3hr minimum. The move took 4hrs, so I was charged for 5 hrs. The hourly price seemed comparable to the other companies I considered. Certainly, there were less expensive options, but you get what you pay for. Thanks to NorthStar for a great moving experience! I will be recommending them to friends and family, too.
NorthStar did a great job on my move. They were responsive to all my email requests and on also if I need to pick up the phone. They were efficient, safe and professional. The team of Carlito, Jessi and David were patient and listened to what special instructions I had. Also if I changed my mind about something they were flexible and rolled with the changes. I would definitely recommend using them for moves. They also came in under my budget and quote! Thank you for making my move a bit less stressful.
Alex, Mike, and, Javier were amazing. They were punctual and very quick to get started. They worked fast and took great care of my things. I highly recommend this company. I used a cheaper company before and it was a terrible mistake. They damaged my things and also smoked some of my weed.

The process:
I spoke with Ron and we did a virtual tour of my apartment and told him everything that had to be moved. He sent over a quote and answered all our questions. We moved from Woodland Hills to Sherman Oaks. Overall, wonderful experience and will definitely move with them again.
They are very professional and provided great service. They very respectful and clean. Most importantly, they were very fast! Would totally recommend. Came in on time, very transparent with fees ( no surprises).

NorthStar Moving was amazing for our recent move!
We needed someone on short notice (two days) and for a reasonable rate, and they were able to deliver both. Their communication was perfect, calling to confirm the appointment, their ETA the day of, and after the move had been completed. Additionally, everyone wore masks.
Juan, Tacho, and Jose came with a truck more than big enough to house all our belongings, and checked in with us during different points for certain items (some items stayed, most went). They were gentle with the ZippGo boxes and our doorways, and took the time to thoughtfully move all our heavier furniture.
I would highly recommend NorthStar Moving and we will absolutely use them again in the future!
Great service and excellent movers. This was my first time employing people to move my stuff, and I’m so glad I did. Abraham, Lalo, and Ulises were incredibly friendly, fast, and careful with our possessions. No bumps or scratches on anything, all of our stuff came through completely unscathed. Also, the three movers were impressively strong and amazing at lifting awkward and heavy furniture… which of course is their job but it was impressive nonetheless. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, would recommend these three very highly.

We had to move our moving in and out dates around because we were delayed closing escrow but they were very helpful and accommodating. Thomas and his crew were friendly, considerate and quick! We were able to store our stuff with them over the weekend and it all came back perfectly. I would recommend them to everyone!
