I will never move with any other company ever again! Northstar we love you and your amazing teams. We first moved with Northstar in early 2019. Upon arrival Andy and his team quickly realized things would be accomplished quicker by adding another mover – and I’m so glad we did! They got our 2 bed 2 bath apartment packed up quickly and moved us up to our house in Oxnard. They gave our 1 year old daughter a nickname and were sensitive to her issue with the sound of packing tape. They were great with our two anxious pups too. Second time we moved was a bit more complex but Northstar was happy to accommodate us and reassured me everything would be smooth. Pedro and his team arrived on time and ready to work! They got our 3 bed 3 bath house + Peloton packed up and moved us into Northstar’s storage until our new home in San Diego was ready for move in. When we had a confirmed move in date I called Northstar and Assi helped me plan a date for delivery of our things. He was a wealth of knowledge and answered all my questions. On delivery day they arrived earlier than expected, Abel and his team unpacked quickly and got the big things moved in with no issue. There was no damage to our property and I was so thankful to be able to start making this house a home. I now refer clients and friends to Northstar left and right because no one does moving as smart & professionally as Northstar. Thank you doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Thank you to the entire team at NorthStar. When I was looking for a mover, I made several inquires with moving companies. Some of them didn’t return calls, one came to my house and walked all over my light carpet with their shoes on. NorthStar did a video walk of the house and accurately sized the entire move. Loved the video walk through. Ron called at the time of the walk through to make sure I could use the technology. It was simple and fast.
This was the first time I had movers pack me. I was extremely anxious. What an amazing job! They certainly used a lot of paper and boxes, but nothing broke. I worked while they were packing and the guys were respectful and courteous.
Day of loading, we extremely well. They were knowledgeable of all the items that needed to go and did not forget a thing, including the storage unit. At the end of the day, we had a last minute change and needed to take the vacuum and the cleaning supplies. No problem, done.
We had a three day move because of the building we were moving from. On the third day, the picked up items from a storage unit and I got a call 20 minutes before to let me know they were almost there. Then to the new house. Again, professional, everything went where I wanted it and at the end we did a walkthrough to make sure we were happy.
Moving is never fun, but NorthStar made it easy for me. Next time, I will call them first and last.
By far the very best moving experience I have ever had. John and his team were incredibly professional and took great care when packing and handling all of my items. Just finished working with north star for our last move and would definitely recommend them! The people are friendly, efficient, and very experienced and made the whole move as stress free as possible in a fraction of the time my boyfriend and I would have taken. All of our items were moved safely and everything was packed in an organized system. Do yourself a favor and go with north star for your move we couldn’t imagine moving without them. (They were also extremely cautious of covid precautions!)

NorthStar Moving Company helped me as I was incredibly stressed and nervous – I have been moving from place to place for years and I hate it. They were professional, fast and courteous and their prices weren’t any higher than their competitors.
Isael & his team were amazing! Punctual & fast. This was not an easy just load & unload the truck job. Some items were destined for the garage for donation, other items to a storage unit & still others to our new home. When I threw them a curveball, they said “okay”. They were amazing. While I hope to never move again, I will whole heartedly hire them again if we do & I will happily recommend them.

Wow. Small but important problem with our packing job at the beginning. Thank God for David – he managed our move and saved the day, made everything right, and even showed up at the very end to finish the job when one of the guys got injured. I can’t recommend them enough. I’ve moved more times than I can count, and have been screwed over or let down by numerous moving companies. North Star Moving is worth every penny.

I have to say this company made our move so easy. You hear about all the horror stories with moving companies now a days, but I have to say NorthStar did an excellent job. The movers they sent out were very careful with all our furniture and even took extra time that was not expected to wrap our furniture as to not scratch anything. They stood by their contract and actually did extra work they did not have to. I will definitely be using them again when it is time to move our furniture out of storage. I would highly recommend this moving company.
John, Izzy, and Manny were by far the best moving crew I’ve had in 3 moves during the past 4 years. They showed up on time, got everything moved faster than expected, and all of my belongings made it safely to my destination with great care along the way. I needed to move from West LA to Glendale and found NorthStar Movers. They quoted a great price and had moving availability when I needed them. Albert, Erwin, and Wilber arrived promptly and finished the move very efficiently! I felt very safe COVID-wise. The guys kept their masks on the whole time. 5 star move! Would hire again.

First they zoom called with me to get the initial estimate communication was perfect when I had more items packed I let them know and we adjusted the estimate …day of pick up items were moved so fast wrapped amazingly great group of hardworking men that picked up . Upon delivery 2 weeks later (due to holidays ) I had another amazing group of hardworking men move items into the house unpack furniture and set it up. The process was stress free ! I will never move myself again ! I will always have North Star handle it !

I maybe spend 600 more in having them move it for me than a uhaul but that’s not even estimating the back pain moving things up and down stairs, gas prices for the uhaul or driving a uhaul I am not use to driving so for us it was worth every penny !

We had a very successful move thanks to NorthStar Moving Company. Austin, Noah, and Hamid were efficient, professional, organized, and communicative. They packed fragile items very carefully; they asked and listened intently about where we wanted each item placed; and they executed with such astonishing speed, completing everything an hour and 15 minutes under the estimate and reducing our overall cost. These three couldn’t have done a better job making our new apartment home and we highly recommend using NorthStar for your next move!
We found NorthStar on Yelp when looking for moving companies that could both move us out of DTLA and store our items until we found a new place. We chose to use their services and had a great experience. The guys were efficient and got things moved quicker than we had planned. They wrapped all the furniture securely with moving blankets and stickered everything so they could track it (stickers were never directly on exposed surfaces and were all easy to take off). They used some of their own boxes to pack up stray stuff and had plenty of wardrobe boxes for our hanging clothes. They broke down big pieces like the couch and bed and reassembled them in the new space. They were able to easily get everything out of our 5th floor condo.
When they brought everything to our new house a couple months later, everything looked just like it did when they originally moved it out. They rolled out a piece of carpet from the front door into the living room so they wouldn’t scratch the floors with the dollies. We had two small breaks (one glass, one cheap plastic wheel), which is nothing to us considering we had at least 50 boxes total. The lead guy was chill and professional and easy to fill out paperwork with. All workers wore masks for CoVid safety. Overall we’re very happy we ended up going with NorthStar!
Big props to NorthStar Moving for my recent move. Armando and his crew were most excellent. It was not an easy move because there is no elevator in my building and things had to be carried up three flights of stairs, with some difficult angles. Armando and his crew did it perfectly, quickly and courteously. From making the appointment, to getting follow-ups from Kate, to finishing the job, it all made the usually difficult task of moving a breeze. I will recommend NorthStar to all my friends in need of moving services. Especially since it’s always my friends that ask ME to help them. Hire the best and get it done right. Hire NorthStar!
NorthStar Movers are exceptional! The entire process was easy and straightforward. The video walkthrough of my place allowed for a clear quote so that I knew the maximum amount I’d have to pay. When moving day came — the team was so efficient for my move from Los Feliz to DTLA. They were so efficient, in fact, that the total was much less than the quote. I’d recommend NorthStar Movers to anyone!
Couldn’t recommend them enough. They were punctual, handled all my things with extreme care. They were very meticulous, careful, polite and worked very fast. The new place I moved into had the wooden floors re-done and the walls newly painted – they put carpet runners down to protect the floors and made sure not to lean or brush anything against the walls – they were SUPER careful. I thought moving would be stressful but they were so great – I got everything done in 2 hours. It was a delight. Thank you NorthStar for making what I thought would be a stressful day – a breeze.
This company is great. We have moved 4 times in the last 10 years and used 3 different moving companies and Northstar was the best of all. They were the lowest bid and the material amounts they quoted we’re accurate. They also gave use a not-to-exceed price after doing their virtual walk-through. Other companies did not want to give us fixed price bids and added extra movers to the quote that we did not need.
The first day of packing they rolled out mats to protect the floors and did a walk through to make sure they understood exactly what we wanted them to move. The three-man team was really careful and respectful of our belongings and even moved a fridge that was not in the bid.
After the packing was done, they came back the next day to move our stuff, which filled up their 26 foot truck almost entirely. They were professional and even suggested an alternate storage unit after the one we had secured had issues.
The whole time they worked really hard and we felt we definitely got our money worth. They showed up on time and also called ahead each day. They also gave us updates throughout the whole process so we knew it was going smoothly. Without a doubt I would recommend them to anyone no matter how are or small their move is.
A couple of tips regardless of any company you choose:
Buy them lunch if you can and tip them 10% or more if you are happy with the job.
