Reginal, Jordan, and Davell were so quick and so efficient with my move. They arrived on time (20 minutes early actually) and were able to move my 1-bedroom amount of stuff in just three hours. They took great care of my belongings and wrapped all my fragile items super securely. I used two other moving companies in San Francisco in the past and this was by far the fastest and easiest move I’ve ever done. I’ll definitely be returning to this company for any of my future moves in the Bay.

We used Northstar moving company to move us after 26 years from a single level house to a two story home. David was very thorough and precise about our bid, coming to house to evaluate. Nick Acosta our team leader was excellent, as were his additional team members. It took approximately 11 hours, there is no way we could have done it without their help. They were courteous and professional, I highly recommend them for your next move.

My family recently Moved across the city and with NorthStar it was a breeze. Moving is never easy and quite stressful but Robert, Alex, and Matt made our transition simple. They were able to move our entire 3 bedroom condo in one day and reassemble all the furniture! They even had to carry some heavy pieces up 4 flights of stairs because they wouldn’t fit in the elevator (Sorry fellas). To be honest I hope I never move again but if we do I’ll request Robert and his crew for sure!

We used NorthStar Moving Co. for moving about 2 rooms with furniture items such as  couple of couches, tables, and a large TV stand.

We reached to NorthStar and it was extremely easy to communicate – we got a response fast and their quote was competitive.

The truck showed up on time, with 3 movers, with one leader that I deal with.

They were extremely professional, handling our furniture with care, and communicating options and a plan both where they picked up the furniture (origin) and where they dropped it off (destination)

Marlon, Caleb, Roldolpho, and Augustine were fantastic. They called ahead showed up promptly and had a great attitude all day. They didn’t flinch about getting our huge fridge up the stairs. They moved quickly and were flexible when unexpected changes came up. They managed to take all of the ikea stuff apart and get it back together lightning quick. Would definitely recommend.

You moved with this company last week. They were quick efficient and friendly. They remembered all the little details and notes we had on what came and what stayed. Nothing was lost, nothing damaged. Well priced too. They even offered service at the end to recycle our extra boxes which helped a ton. I have a hard time reading our team’s names off the receipt but Santos, Brandon, and Tan, Van #128 were great!

I moved to a townhome and NorthStar Moving did a great job. I like their attention to detail and hassle free move. Especially the folks that helped me were carlitos, Rick and astacio are good at managing time as well !

Was this a problem?

Nope. This company is FULL SERVICE ladies and gentlemen. They will pack, wrap, carry, do whatever you need to get your move done and for that? I was so happy!

The preliminary move was conveniently handled online. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, knowledgable, and helpful.

I initially was going to hire a moving company referred by my realtor. After navigating the really archaic website they require customers fill out I was told to upload an app to make a video of my home.

What the fork kind of blueberry is this shark? (Put the appropriate curse words in the spots and you will feel my frustration)

That was stupid. I was spending more time giving data to that mover than I was getting I answers. He couldn’t give me a quote without the form. Then I was told to install imover or some crap to make a video. Does he know FaceTime and Skype are a thing? Why would I get an app to store a video of my home and the items in it. Wouldn’t that make a person susceptible to a robbery? I dunno – that mover was just not great so I didn’t use him.

I chose this company. They were really easy to communicate with, the quote/pricing was straightforward and they gave it to me right away – without a video or all kinds of forms. Imagine that!

I didn’t have enough boxes. The stupid amazon boxes I ordered were too small. I was worried about my fancy clothes and shoes. I barely slept. The sound of tape – you know the sound tape makes when you stretch it across a box? *shudders*

The movers came and did a preliminary walkthrough. We discussed what is what and where is where.

Then some of them worked on packing what needed to be packed. They have boxes, tape, and packing material. The other team started moving items out room by room.

They packed that huge truck and off we went to the new house!

When we arrived they unloaded the truck – careful to put boxes and pieces of furniture into the appropriate rooms. They unwrapped all the furniture so I could check for potential damage (there was none) and et their pads back. They emptied wardrobe boxes of hanging clothing into the respective closets of each room, and put my fancy clothing, shoes, and handbags in a prominent place of my closet so I knew it was there.

Both previous and current house has stairs. These guys worked so unbelievably hard and they had great teamwork and coordination with one another that I felt good about letting them be in charge of the move while I did what I wanted.

Moving is stressful. Moving can be stressful. With the right team, your stress can be managed and the move can happen with as little chaos as possible.

I am really happy I chose this company for my move. They managed my expectations, took ownership and responsibility for my move, asked questions to confirm they were doing what I wanted.

These guys were super efficient, polite and helpful. We were very unprepared before our move date, but they showed up and got us packed quickly. They wrapped and moved everything carefully – no damage at all. They communicated with both buildings so we had to do very little, other than sit back and play traffic cop to tell them where to put stuff. We felt guilty watching these guys work so hard! 10/10 would use this company again for the next move.

Just finished moving through Northstar and I’m so glad we did. They made the whole moving process super easy. We got a quotation through their website for an hourly rate. Which included 3 movers and 1 truck. We booked everything online and was even able to get same week service. We were unable to pack some last minute stuff. But they were able to help us pack – and quick too! The team that came was very professional and easy to work with. I would definitely use them again. If you’re thinking of using their service , i would highly recommend you to.

BEST SERVICE EVER!! I don’t leave yelp reviews often so you know it’s mind blowing service that prompted me to do so in this case. There were three folks who came to help – Carlitos, Juan and Rick. The nicest most efficient and hardworking men we have ever come across. They genuinely care about getting everything done quickly and efficiently so you are not over burdened with the moving costs , we have moved five times in three years and tried out various local movers before stumbling across this one on help. And they did NOT disappoint. Excellent customer service, friendly employees. We had already been scarred by a different company we used last year “local n long distance movers”, they didn’t even get half the stuff done that these people did. It’s hard to find good reliable folks in the Bay Area, so please don’t hesitate before booking them. We are so so grateful to them for their services, everyone charges money for labor done but rarely do you find people who are passionate about what they do and do it SO SO well. We used Northstar to move our household in the East Bay. The moving team worked efficiently and handled our items with care.

We were in the market for great movers to help a family member with a local move and NorthStar came highly recommended. While I did not schedule the move itself, I took care of letting the movers in, arranging which items needed to go, and payment. Our movers (Eric and Alex) showed a lot of consideration, arrived on time, wrapped everything up safely and delivered the items on time to their new home. They were friendly, polite and nothing was broken. And I feel their price was very reasonable. I would definitely use NorthStar again! Highly recommended.

10th time I’ve used Northstar.  I’ve always been very happy with their services – this move was probably the smoothest yet.  I used another moving company once after hiring Northstar, and learned my lesson, hiring Northstar again for my next move.

Even though I am a single woman, I have a ton of furniture and about 40 boxes.  I also have pets that are eager to get in the way. These guys are so professional and fast!  They are breathing hard throughout the whole move.

Marlon and his crew did an amazing job moving us last night from one 3bd into another 3bd. They showed up on time and were ready to move quickly.  They took great care of wrapping and padding our furniture, and we survived a big move with minimal issues.  They worked really hard, especially since I was moving from a place with a very small elevator and they had to use the stairs often.   When I move again (hopefully it won’t be for some time) I’ll definitely ask for Marlon and his team again.  Thanks guys…we appreciate all you did to help us with our move!

Brandon, Santos & Ian did such an amazing job today! They helped us move down from LA to Orange County and we’re so fast, friendly and careful with all of our things. They even stopped on the way down to pick up our new fridge from Pacific Sales and got it loaded on the truck super quickly. They disassembled and assembled bedroom furniture and everything was wrapped and padded so well that we didn’t have damages to anything. We really appreciated all their help and will definitely be using them again for future moves.

Everything from Northstar Moving was awesome. From our first meeting with David who quoted our move, to the actual movers on the day of moving. Bryce, Austin, Alex, and Johne were the 4 guys that helped us on the day of our move. They packed the stuff that we ran out of time and didn’t pack, and they moved everything with care. Nothing was damaged during the move. They were all super friendly and helpful as well. Price was exactly as quoted and they had us from our old house to our new house in 8 hours. They put everything back together better than it was put together. I highly recommend NorthStar Moving, our experience could not have gone better.

North Star movers has been my go to moving company for several years now. On my most recent move I had a very difficult move out location with several flights and stairs and many heavy items. Brandon and his team handled it like a champ!

They also helped assemble all my furniture at my new spot and helped rearrange everything to my satisfaction. They showed up on time, got things done in a timely fashion and were very easy to work with.

NorthStar  did a fantastic job moving all my things within San Francisco. I didn’t have things organized when they came, and they quickly were able to sort through everything without issue. They were on time, courteous, and extra helpful when I realized that I forgot about a storage locker that also needed to be moved. When we got to the new  place they were patient as I figured out where I wanted things to go. Would definitely recommend them!
