We recently had a great experience using NorthStar Moving! The office staff was very helpful in scheduling our in town move. They contacted us two or three times to confirm our appointment and explain their fees. The morning of our move, the driver called and gave us a 30 minute notice that they were on their way. The movers were on time, professional and extremely friendly. They wrapped our furniture and took great care with each item they handled. Our movers were Johan and Jaime and they did an excellent job! I highly recommend NorthStar Moving Company!

NorthStar Moving Company was reliable, professional and did a wonderful job moving my apartment. Appointment details and communication were great. The movers and truck arrived within 30 minutes of the timeframe given, and they got to work ASAP!! The two men (I think John/Johan & Jaime) worked their butts off and had my apartment moved out of and the new place unloaded in 3 hours (moving up 40 stairs to unload). I did a lot of searching around and got the best quote/deal with NorthStar. Their rates are fair and lower than any I found out there, even with tip. Would highly recommend NorthStar to anyone looking to move in the future.
We worked with Felipe, Jorge, and Juan to move our two bedroom apartment one hour away. They were PROMPT, showing up at the exact start of our window. They were so quick and efficient, moving things quickly and with the utmost care to our things. They were accommodating and helpful, having no problem with the questions we asked and using our furniture pads as suggested and working with us on which items would need pads and which did not. They were also able to efficiently pack all of our items when we were worried it wasn’t going to fit. This was such a smooth moving process and Northstar will have our business moving forward.

I used NorthStar to move a few days ago. I’ve never had a good experience with a moving company in Los Angeles, but NorthStar was awesome and so I want to give credit where it’s due. NorthStar was actually recommended by several friends, so I crossed my fingers and hired them. Even calling to book the date of the move was easy (so easy that it actually worried me–LOL)—-I called on a Wednesday and my move was scheduled for Monday. They showed up on time and they called 30 mins before they arrived, like they said they would. The head of the 3-person team was Kevin R.—he was incredibly friendly and worked quickly—he also understood how stressful moving day can be for some people (I was nervous about my things being cared for properly and not damaged in the move). I didn’t have a lot of things to move, but what I did have was expensive $$$. They set everything up for me at my destination, took the wrapping off of my belongings, and even disposed of it themselves. When I went to pay I kept waiting for the ‘hidden fees’ but there were none—I paid exactly what I was quoted when I called.
The last time I moved (4 years ago) I used Carole & Jan’s and they were snobby and awful (my belongings arrived safely though). NorthStar is soooo much better! My friends all told me, “NorthStar is expensive, but worth it” and they were right (although I didn’t think they were much more expensive than any other Los Angeles area movers). NorthStar IS worth it.
I won’t need to move again for a while, but I will definitely use NorthStar again!
Moved my Dad’s items from Livermore to Sacramento. Gustavo, Gustine and Rudolph’s were careful with packing and handling of my Dad’s items. Very polite and efficient. Would recommend to anyone!

Here’s how these guys from NorthStar Moving literally saved my life. So I moved out of this apartment, as you guys know, and I wasn’t in the best mood, but literally the second they arrived, the day fully changed. They are the sweetest. They treat you like family, they helped me pack stuff I hadn’t packed yet. They even rolled out a red carpet for me, I was just like such a little ball of happiness.
