Every aspect of my experience with North Star Movers has been stellar and way beyond my expectations. I requested rates from 6 other movers and North Star gave me the most competitive rates. Stephanie (and everyone really) from their Client Loyalty Team was so friendly and helpful. She accommodated us so much for our move.

The crew that showed up to our house came on time and were incredible! I cannot express how grateful I am for their professionalism and care. We had so much big furniture but they were so expert, nothing scratched the walls. Everything arrived to our new place in the same condition as if it hadn’t been touched at all. Seriously, we had such a great experience with them. This was a very anxiety-inducing time for me but whenever I was on the phone with them and when they arrived, I felt an immediate sense of relief. We are very happy we hired North Star Movers. 🙂

These guys did a great job moving my stuff from storage to my new place in the pouring rain! I was worried about my things getting damaged because of the horrible weather but everything was in perfect condition. The movers were also super quick to get everything in despite the rain and unusually cold weather. They arrived on time and were very friendly. Most movers would probably be in a bad mood moving in this weather and having  to hike up a steep hill but they were in good spirits and in a good mood. I’ll never try to do a move on my own again! I highly recommend northstar in Chatsworth for both moving and storage. Five stars! Satisfied customer!

Today was moving day! My fiancé and I have been tirelessly renovating our new home and the thought of having to deal with the actual move was daunting. We have big items like flat screen TVs, couches, computer and desk, beds, dining table, chairs, etc on top of the numerous boxes of stuff that require heavy lifting and careful packaging. We called NorthStar as returning customers and they were so professional and easy to make an appointment with. Brandon, Randy and Andy arrived on time with friendly attitudes this morning and totally ready to get to work. They were diligent in taking care of our belongings and made sure to wrap and transport every item in tact. Their thoroughness, collaboration with one another, friendly demeanors and ability to get work done with haste made this moving day a complete breeze. We highly recommend this company to all of our friends – we had a great experience the first time and this experience just solidified the fact that this should be everyone’s go-to company for moving.

They called right on time and gave me an ETA of when they would arrive. They were very nice and thorough. Started with a walk-through of the house to see exactly what I would be bringing. They carefully wrapped everything and asked me questions if they weren’t sure, which I appreciated. When the delivered to my new home, they I wrapped everything and placed my things exactly where I wanted them. I’m so grateful because I was actually pretty stressed out about this move. They made things so easy and were really fast!! I would definitely use them again. Thanks!!

The representative that helped me set the entire move up was very nice and answered all my questions. 3 guys showed up on the day of my move, I didn’t have much to be moved but with three guys it went much faster. They wrapped all of my stuff in blankets so it wouldn’t get messed up. And they moved super quick. I believe it took them 15 mins total to wrap everything up and get it out. Getting from downtown to where I live took them no time in that huge truck. I expected them to take much longer considering how big the truck was but they got arrived right after me. They brought everything in with no problem. And it only took an hour! I will definetly be referring them to everyone that needs to move. They were nice, efficient and quick which was everything I was looking for.

Andy and his team have been more than fantastic! Scheduling was amazing and they were very accommodating. He recognized I needed the help and if I had to move I would use them in a heart bit. The 3 guys were very nice and easy to work with. They took excellent care of all our things and wrapped everything. They even helped me with things I didn’t think about like the water cooler. The paperwork was a breeze and they used excellent materials. I loved the free wardrobe service for the closets. They were also amazing in installing all of our beds and putting all the things were they belonged. I loved their attitude and all their hard work! Thank you so very much! We are more than happy with all your super hard work!

Our team of movers did an EXCELLENT job! Andy’s crew were very efficient and hard-working. This is our 3rd time using Northstar and there is a reason we keep coming back. Great customer service and a timely and efficient move. Getting it done right the first time is so valuable! They showed up on time and got working quickly. Very very friendly eat easy to schedule. We used their free estimator Ron, and he was excellent. My family will definitely use them again.

Northstar moving is a great company. We have never used movers before, but it was worth every penny.

Strengths:
– communication. The moving plan was super clear. Everyone seemed to be on the same page and we received several phone calls the week before to check in
-care. All of our things were intact when they arrived
-timeliness. They respected our time and were never late

Improvements:

-there were a few boxes left upstairs that we had to get ourselves and take in the car. I think just double checking next time would be helpful!

I won’t be moving for a veryyyyy long time but I would highly recommend Northstar! Thank you northstar for a great experience!

NorthStar was our first choice for a local move. I had already had a very good experience with them years ago for an in-state move and wasn’t interested in dealing with a sketchy company.

We opted to pack everything ourselves and have NorthStar move our things by truck. However, they do offer options like having them pack stuff up. We purchased most of our packing supplies from Home Depot or Amazon.

Just about everything from Ron’s free estimate at our place to the actual move by Ramiro and his team was done with the utmost professionalism and fortunately we had no major incidents with the move. They were careful and responsive.

During the estimate, Ron let me know that I was probably underestimating how much stuff we had (he was right, leave it to the professionals). Ramiro and his team moved quickly and communicated effectively.

Our priority was in getting our stuff moved safely by a reliable, professional company. In that regard they succeeded, which is why I’m writing this review.

Edgar and his team came on time and are very friendly. They were efficient at packing, communicated everything thoroughly with us, and stayed really organized throughout the process. They also took the time to put down plastic and everything to make sure our place doesn’t get dirty. When everything was unloaded, they took the time to read all the labels and boxes were put away in the right rooms. Overall really pleased with this moving process, definitely would recommend Northstar moving.

We had a bunch of stuff to get done and these guys worked with us and made it a simple task. We were stressed with the number of things to do and this dynamic duo made it easy. I feel much better now that I was able to get their help and an pleased with the service.

My move was from Toluca Lake to Culver City. Could have been a major pain, but turned out really well. I would definitely hire NorthStar to move my belongings again. They even managed to get to my new place really quickly on a rainy day– not easy to do with LA traffic.

5 stars. I’ve used Northstar twice now and they are the best moving company I’ve ever come across. So easy to schedule, organized, efficient, careful with my things, friendly.

I just moved from Brentwood to Pasadena…and this was the fourth time I’ve used NorthStar in the last three or four years.  As always, the move went as well as you could imagine especially given the rain.  The three guys showed up and went right to work.  The whole thing took about four hours including the drive.

Moving is always painful.  I appreciated that they made a painful experience much less painful.  Although I despise moving, I know that when I move again I’ll be calling NorthStar!

Thank you, great service. On time and didn’t break anything along the way.  There were surprises at the end when the bill came. They were extra helpful and moved quick.  Even helped put my bed together. Happy customer. 🙂

North Star runs a great business. We’ve moved 6 times in the last 7 years and had varied experiences with various moving companies. NorthStar was a little more expensive from other services we considered however since “you get what you pay for” and we decided to go with them. Marlon, Aruthur, Angel were on time, organized and efficient. It was a very easy move from San Francisco to San Jose. And the back office was responsive to questions I had regarding additional insurance and scheduling questions. We would absolutely use them again.

5th Time moving with this company! We started this morning and now I’m settled in. Everything was so easy – the guys were friendly and laughing all the time. They tackled the big job and were so helpful and on top of everything. I was really impressed with how they protected my big furniture with such care to make sure nothing was damaged. (Everything looks great so far, still have a lot to unpack, and I’ll update for an accurate review if I notice something). Just wanted to make sure to give these guys a quick positive review because I’m so appreciative. Good customer service from the office too.

Best day ever with NorthStar Movers!!! I was moving out of my loft in Downtown LA and I desperately needed some good movers to help me and didn’t want to bother asking my friends. The big items I really needed help moving were my bed, bed frame, area rug, coffee table, tv, chairs, tables, and floor mirror. I browsed around online for and thanks to my fellow Yelpers, I found NorthStar Movers here in LA. I filled out a form online and someone had contacted me within the next hour to follow up with my move. I booked the movers 4 weeks out and was really happy with the overall customer service experience.

Today was the big day for me and I had prepared myself by placing all of my personal belongings in boxes and bags to make it easier for the movers when they come. I had never hired movers before and I was so nervous. Living in Downtown La also meant that there wouldn’t be any street parking available. I had also contacted the Department of Transportation weeks in advance to block off 3 parking spots in front of my loft. They posted the signs 2 days earlier and it costed around $52.  

At 8:00am, I had received a phone call for their ETA. Two big guys showed up and they were ready to help me make the move to Hollywood. They had their big truck, dollies, handtrucks, tape, boxes, seran wrap, blankets, etc. I loved how they carefully wrapped everything and took good care of my things!!! After they finished packing up everything into the truck, they came to my new place and unpacked everything for me and placed all of the furniture exactly where I wanted it.

I’m so grateful for these guys and NorthStar Movers for providing excellent customer service overall. If I ever have to move again, I know who to call. 🙂
