Great service. The guys worked quickly and efficiently, and were always pleasant and polite. Due to a misunderstanding, we arrived half an hour before my storage company opened, and they were very understanding and waited with me for it to open. Even with the delay, we still got the job done in the three hour minimum! I would definitely recommend them to my family or friends who needed a moving service.

Incredible moving company. I have used them every single time I move and they are efficient courteous and quick. They have never faltered. Given our great experience seven years ago, we signed Northstar up to move us again this year, this time across town. As before, they did great work, and were prompt, courteous and professional.
We had one minor hiccup; a piece of our fridge broke during the move. But after I ordered the replacement part, I called Northstar, and they said they’d send a reimbursement check out for the full amount within 24 hours. I very much appreciated that.
Having had two great experiences with these folks – both with the telephone reps and the movers themselves – I’m happy to reiterate my recommendation for NorthStar.

These guys are the best. Even my neighbors were impressed by their quality of work (Packin/Loading/ arranging and caring).
We relocated to Dallas from San Diego and the move was extremely easy because of Northstar moving. They delivered within a week.
We started working with Michelle over the phone and she was very nice to explain everything (Yes… we made about 15 phone calls within 2 hours for 15 different types of questions).
Junior and Crew showed up on time and immediately realized that they need another truck. Northstar sent another one within few hours.
Highly experienced, knowledgeable and honest crew. We didn’t have to guide them for anything. They packed everything with proper care and detail attention. 3200 sqft of living space was packed and ready for loading by evening.
Within 4 days, they confirmed for delivery. Again, the delivery crew was excellent.
9,000 lbs of items traveled 1300 miles and only a nightstand was side damaged (Which is minor for a long distance move). One of headboard frame was dislocated but Eric was able to fix it quickly).

Moved from downtown to one of the beach cities. Great service. Received a phone call a few days prior verifying my information then got a call when the movers were an hr ourt. Professional and friendly group of guys! Move was easy, seamless, and customer friendly. Definitely recommend anyone who want a friendly, simple, and professional moving experience to try this company. My wife and I bought our first condo and we’re moving from the west tower to the east tower at 1 Daniel Burnham Court. We called East Star and couldn’t be happier with the work that Roger, Don, and Jesus put forth. They were very professional and took great care of all of our stuff. I would definitely recommend their services to anyone that is thinking about using a moving company to help with the transition into a new home. I just had my single family home packed and moved from San Francisco to Oakland with NorthStar Moving and the crew from their San Mateo operation. I can strongly recommend them on the basis of my experience.

The packers were ok, but not great. Courteous guys, but their “packing” job resulted in a lot of things that weren’t packed. Some drawers in the kitchen with stuff still in them. Some shelves with stuff still on it, the bed not taken apart, and despite my request for them to clearly label everything, many boxes unlabeled. I was pretty grumpy when I came back from some errands at the end of the day to see what state they’d left things in.
The next morning, the day of the move, another team showed up, and they were rock stars. They fixed everything that the first crew had left undone or done shoddily — labeled everything, packed the remaining items, etc. Then they proceeded to do an utterly fantastic job loading the truck, getting everything over to the new place, and putting everything in the right rooms. Attentive and responsive, always asking to make sure we were having a great experience. Roger and Cory and the crew were totally excellent, and tireless workers.
I will use NorthStar Moving again. Hopefully not for another 10 years, of course. But strongly recommended.

Good service. Very cool people! Showed up on time. Service with a smile. Vatche, Brandon, and Pablo got the job done. Picked up all the trash at the end. Even gave us a discount. They took off all the tape and shrink wrap charges. The service took awhile but they definitely did it. They were very nice and did a good job taping everything up.
They make a very good team together. The load ended up being more than they expected because of an issue at the office. Was not a problem for them. They still managed to fit everything in the truck. MASTERS AT TETRIS.

NorthStar took care of my stuff better than we did. Double wrapped, packaged with care, and out in no time. These guys were speedy and considerate! I highly recommend giving them a call during your search for professional movers — I know I’ll be calling them again in the future.

So when I found the perfect apartment, I asked my friends if they could recommend a moving company. Northstar was mentioned a few times and they had availability for when I wanted to move.
Three guys were enough for my one bedroom apartment. They showed up at the beginning of the time window I was quoted and were ready to get started. The team lead, Anthony M. , was on top of it. A real professional. He told how long it was going to take and exactly how the move was going to go. The move went perfectly thanks to Anthony and Emanuel. Haitham, Carlos, and Marvin moved us this morning and we were very happy with their service. Northstar was highly recommended by multiple of our friends and we will definitely recommend them and use them in the future. Haitham called me 45 minutes in advance, surveyed everything and was very considerate with his team. They were very careful with all of our belongings and the building. We were also working on a much tighter timeline than they estimated due to the rules at my building, but Haitham was very even keeled about it and was able to work with our building manager to stay within their (very strict) policy. They reassemble everything at your destination and clean up after themselves. I’ve used 6 different moving companies in my life and these guys are easily the best!
I’ve used NorthStar for both personal and business moves and I have been so impressed by their punctuality, professionalism and most importantly, the particular care in taking care of my things. The moving crew both times were super careful with packing and moving my furniture and personal effects. The move was completed in a timely manner without any loitering or waste in time, and completed early. We used NorthStar a second time for a complicated move from the San Francisco Bay Area to Los Angeles. They were incredibly patient and helpful as we experienced numerous escrow delays and had to schedule and reschedule the movers again and again. The movers showed up promptly, handled everything with great care, and worked so efficiently and thoroughly. On top of that, they were super friendly and nice guys. I highly, highly recommend NorthStar – they are the only moving company we will be using in the future!
Jason, Marvin , Bidal & Haitham were wonderful movers! We have used them in a move 5 years ago and happy we booked them again for this move. They were quick, efficient and careful with all the furniture and stuff. Very courteous customer service. I highly recommend them to everyone. Oh BTW, they did a video tour of our original home and gave a great estimate with a not to exceed amount so we knew how to budget unlike their competitors.
I recently used Northstar for a last minute move from Pasadena to Orange County, and they were phenomenal. Junior, William, and George were professional and courteous to me, and maintained an efficient work pace the entire time. I was thoroughly impressed by their ability to flat out get stuff done, and their willingness to help with anything. They even offered to help me set up my belongings after they unloaded the truck.

Mario, Orlando, Luis were professional, fast, and had great attitudes. They were on time and got to work right away. They handled all of our stuff with care and I totally trusted them throughout the move. Definitely great value for a great price- I will totally use them again for future moves.
Excellent services rendered by Vatche, Brandon, Pablo. They were punctual. Assessed the the items carefully. Communicated the scope of packing and shipping. Divided the load appropriately. And packed each items as feasible as they could. The process was efficient and no abuse of time was conducted. They were also all dressed and equipped professionally. This was our first time using movers and we had a great experience. The movers – David A, Alberto, and Jason – were very accommodating and easy to work with. Our move was efficient and was done faster than I expected it to be. Everything was handled carefully and the price was very reasonable. Would use this company again next time!
I am downsizing and getting ready to sell my house. I needed to put lots of things into storage temporarily in order to get the house staged for sale. Larry’s crew from North Star came on July 10, 2017 and another crew came today on July 18, 2017. They were on time, professional, took good care of my things, worked efficiently and I look forward to using them again when I’ll need to actually move to my new place and collect the things that were just moved to storage.
They were a pleasure to work with. This is our 2nd time we’ve used them. They were flexible when I had a change of move out dates, and they came within the promised window, letting us know 30 mins in advance when they were on our way so we could be ready. Then they safely and speedily packed up and transported everything really efficiently, the 4 of them rocked it out. (Junior plus others — forgot their names) Then they helped us unpack and were amazing as they moved furniture that was already in the new apartment around for us for us too. Nothing was damaged, and when I changed my mind about where I wanted the couch, they were happy to move it to a different room, and checked in with me every time they brought in new boxes to see where I’d need them to go. They were a pleasure – professional, great communication, and lowered my stress considerably.
The guys were great and so helpful! They came in and got everything right away with no request for help. They made sure everything was taken care of at top care and were very polite. When we got to our new place they continued to make us feel comfortable and ask where we would like everything to make sure we were happy. They were very funny and kept conversation going. They never complained and made things fast and easy. They made the job look so easy! The help was amazing and company was great. They never showed they the fact that they were tired. It was an overall great choice in a company and would absolutely choose them again!
The Northstar team was great. They showed up on time and were ready to go. They did a great job with wrapping my valuable items and took excellent care not to bump into walls or cause any damage. I had a tight window with my apartment elevator and they were kind enough to not take a break to ensure we got out on time. The foreman was great at communication and did a nice job ensuring everything went smoothly. They were very Professinoal and I would certainly use them again.
After having horrible experiences with two local moving companies, I called NorthStar and was greeted and didn’t get a slimy sales pitch but a very thorough description of what we could expect on the big day.
