Recently i had to help my mother move from her assisted living center to a nursing home and part of that move required me to move some large furniture items to a storage facility. So i needed to find a moving company and of course, one that would be trustworthy and exhibit a high level of customer satisfaction. I began my search using Yelp.com and noticed a number of apparent satisfied customers. The customers seemed very happy with Northstar’s service so i decided to research their Better Business Bureau rating and that reflected a high level of satisfaction as well. So i decided to go with Northstar. The process of contacting Northstar was very simple and quick. I decided to use their website and entered a estimate request. Very quickly a representative named Stefy called me back with some questions and she was very polite and answered all the questions i had. After several more communications we were set for our move date. The move date went very smoothly. The 3 guys assigned to my job were very friendly and communicative. They completed our job efficiently and took special care to shrink wrap my fragile items for the trip over to the storage facility. All in all, the job only took about 2 hours with another hour for a special run to drop off a chair at my mothers nursing home facility. I was extremely happy with their work and their efficiency. I would highly recommend Northstar to anyone who needs to undertake a move.

The crew showed up on time, and got everything moved out in just about 3 hours from door to door! My tip to you is if you know exactly what date you’ll be moving, book early so you get a better hourly rate. I know we’ll be moving again in about a year and that we’ll be using northstar again.

A co-worker referred me to NorthStar and they did not disappoint. When I called for a quote, the representative informed me that if I chose NorthStar, that I should go on Yelp and get the coupon. They didn’t have to do that but it showed that they wanted the business. The day of my move, they arrived early – better early than not at all. They came in under their quote and were super efficient. Very courteous and professional. I would definitely use them again!

The best experience I’ve had with movers and I will only use them. When I first booked them, they gave me a window between 12 and 6 pm, but told me they would call an hour or so before. I got a call the day before confirming the appt. for next day and went over the details (address, supplies, etc). The day of, they called an hour in advance, they showed up on time, and an hour into the move, a representative from the office showed up with a bag of treats and wanted to make sure everything is going well. I thought it was a nice touch. The whole move went without a hitch, the guys were professional, nice, and worked quickly. We moved from Van Nuys to Woodland Hills, and all was loaded and unloaded and done in about 3 hours. They do round up, so we paid for 4 hours.

As professional a company from the salesman to the movers and to Wendy in the office as one could hope to find. Northstar is Company owned as opposed to most of the other large moving and storage companies that have franchised or licensed local agencies. The crew who moved us (Eric’s crew) was totally professional, careful and worked non-stop. No talking, joking, or wasting time during the entire day. They were the best workers I have ever seen at any job. Wendy, in the office was a gem and solved any questions that came up. She was wonderful. All in all a pleasant experience to a job that usually is not so much fun to do. Thank you NorthStar.

Northstar is awesome. Alice in the office is very helpful and very friendly. We scheduled a last minute move and she was accommodating and even stayed late on the phone to schedule our move. We had a really big move from two large storage spaces. We used 7 guys and four trucks to move almost 2,000 sq ft of boxes! They started moving at 8:30am and were not done until 11:30pm, believe it or not. These guys were amazing–they worked so hard for so long and were all friendly and professional. It was quite an undertaking and I was amazed that they were able to fit everything-it was like a math problem, fitting all the boxes in. We fed them, bought them drinks and tipped them generously, they deserved it, they worked their asses off! Alice called a few times to follow up and make sure the move went smoothly. I would highly recommend NorthStar. Great Yelp coupons too!

It was my first move here in the U.S., I’ m Italian, and I was a little be scared  not to be able to find the best. I have to say that I really found how to move without any problem ,  in the fastest time ,  having all the information I needed to have. I was lucky because I found NorthStar moving!!!!!!

Fastest, most professional movers I have ever used. They did not even complain about the lack of elevators in the apartment I was moving out of. They may not be the least expensive, but it is worth it when you consider the care they used in moving my possessions. Highly recommended and would definitely use them again.

NorthStar Moving was fantastic. I called around to get quotes and even though NorthStar was a little more expensive, because of Jessica’s personality and assurance that everything would be done with superb service, I went with them. Because I had procrastinated I was looking for movers a few days before I had to be out of my apartment. They were able to be at my place early, before their stated hours of operation. The movers were scheduled to be there at 7am, and arrived at 6:55. They walked through the apartment and looked at what I had to still do and what they had to do and started the clock only after they had looked through and gotten dollies and such up in the building. They were professional, efficient and personable. They loaned me wardrobe boxes for the move so I could put a lot of smaller items in there and wouldn’t have to spend time packing these or tracking them. When we got to the new house, they unpacked all the wardrobe boxes. The movers wrapped all of my furniture carefully and with great precision. Everything was intact, in good condition and nothing had even a scratch on it. I had just gotten the floors refinished in my house and they were extremely careful so as not to damage the refinishing job. THEY WERE EXCEPTIONAL, with amazing service beginning with Jessica, throughout the move and finishing back with Jessica calling to make sure everything had gone according to plan. I highly recommend NorthStar.
