I have moved all over the place: Chicago to London back to Chicago back to London to Los Angeles and finally, most recently, back to Chicago again. I have had some terrible moving experiences so I was nervous about my latest cross country move. NorthStar was excellent! Every step of the process was easy and we communicated often. Although their quote was slightly higher than some other companies, they were willing to negotiate and had the highest (and well deserved) BBB ratings. The movers in LA were early and had my two bedroom apartment loaded within 2 hours. They packed my kitchen including all my dishes and crystal. Delivery was easy and the guys fabulous! Everything arrived perfectly (no breakage) within the delivery window that they confirmed. I received follow-up customer services calls after both pick-up and delivery. All the people involved with this move did an excellent job. I will absolutely use them again.

I have the pleasure to address this letter of appreciation and recommendation for a very special person, Mr. Gadi M. Avigzer, of NorthStar Moving Corporation, in Los Angeles, where I was the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey until very recently.
It is not often I perform such a task, as I believe that a letter of appreciation and/or recommendation is a very serious matter. I would write one, only when I am convinced that ht person in reference has the right stuff and absolutely earns and deserves it. Without hesitation, I would consider this to be such a case.
After trusting to Mr. Avigzer, the special packaging, sensitive handling and overseas, as well as inland transportation of the museumlike quality, highly valuable objects and goods from The Turkish Consulate in Los Angeles to all the way in Istanbul, Turkey (also some to Boston) and receiving them all intact; and, previously to that, after observing for days, the exemplary way he demonstrated his superior management and leadership abilities during the sorting and packing of over 150 boxes of paintings, very delicate glass, silver and porcelain antiques and other delicate, very fragile times, my reasons to have such a highly positive opinion for this gentleman, are the following:
This well traveled, very articulate young man’s leadership qualities, analytical skills and ability to grasp new ideas and novel projects are well developed and I am confident that he will demonstrate constructive, as well as result oriented behavior when confronted with problems and even highly complex matters, conducive to resolution. He possesses the traits of persistence, efficiency and motivation to the fullest extend and I have pleasantly observed that these qualities of his are always accompanied with extreme courtesy, good spirits, cheerful attitude, very positive approach and a good sense of humor.
As a result, I would highly recommend Mr. Gadi Avigzer, for any promotion of higher office and management position, requiring serious responsibility.

The purpose of this letter is to commend your employees. In May, 2008, I contracted with Northstar to move my belongings from my home in Pacific Palisades, California to Portland, Oregon. I worked with Ron Cohen, the relocation specialist. He was friendly, helpful, and very professional. Everytime I had a question or concern, he always addressed it honestly and promptly. I was always satisfied with the outcome. He is an asset to the company.
On Friday, July 18, 2008, four men, Gil, Scott, Luis and Miguel arrived to load my boxes and furniture onto the truck. They, also, were friendly, helpful and professional. They worked hard and efficiently securing my furniture with blankets, undoing tables, and carefully wrapping the individual parts. I was given small pieces such as keys or tassles to wrap and take personally. I had not considered these and they certainly would have been lost or destroyed had I not been given them. I was thoroughly satisfied as everything arrived in good shape. They did an exemplary job.
Belle, in the office, and the different dispatchers with whom I needed to speak were also so helpful and kind.

There is no reason to shop around for a moving company – just hire this one NOW. This is my story….My dad passed away unexpectedly in May and I made a decision to move from California to Florida so that my mom would not be alone. Needless to say I was not really prepared to move or make such a drastic change in my life. The last thing I needed to worry about was getting “all my stuff” shipped to Florida. I went on the internet and put out a request for moving and received about 10 e-mails and 10 more phone calls from various movers. I had pretty much decided on one and then I got 2 more phone calls from 2 more movers beating the price from the one I selected. I thought it a bit strange, so I went onto the Better Business Bureau Website and all 3 of them were rated very poorly. However, NorthStar was on the website with an A rating and although they were not the least expensive I thought it was worth the extra $100 to go with an A rated company. My items were picked up as scheduled and within 24 hours was informed of the exact weight of my shipment and the price along with an estimated delivery date. Prior to delivery the driver phoned me to confirm address and time of delivery. I received all of my belongings on schedule and was so surprised, all 30 boxes did not have a scratch or dent and not one item was broken, the boxes were in the same condition they were in upon pickup. I have to say from start to finish everyone was friendly and polite, very helpful and patient. Each one a true professional from start to finish, Ted, Haim, Alex…etc…..Thank you so much for taking such good care of me and “my stuff”. I am writing this letter to convey my gratitude for the recent services your company rendered to me and my husband during our move to Oregon, where we are retiring, from Southern California. Your employees made a task that would have been monumental for us to complete look easy. We were informed all through the process what would be done for us and when it would be done. Our phone calls were returned promptly and all contact made by you and your team were professional. The manner in which our property was prepared for shipping, loaded and unloaded was exceptional. All of our belongings, including our antique radio cabinet and my grandmother’s antique oak chest, arrived safely. We want to thank you both personally for the sensational job that you and your team of professionals did for us in our recent move to New York City! Your team of wonderful men knocked on our door bright and early, and they were energetic and eager to start working. They were fast, hard working and very professional. All four men divided and conquered different areas of the house to pack all our items with great care and concern. As you both know, we had many very fragile Art sculptures and heavy paintings that are cumbersome and large scale and they took the extra time to be sure all our Art was packed securely and labeled as such. Really, these men were terrific! Gadi, you are a fantastic representative of NorthStar. From the minute we met you, we liked you. You exude sincerity and warmth and have great confidence in your Company. You made a daunting project seem easy. You walked us through the entire process from beginning to finish and gave us timeline updates while the truck was in transit. We really appreciated that. I wanted to send a note of thanks. I recently shipped a few items of great personal value from San Francisco to Austin, Tx. I have used the same moving company for over 10 years for local moves and felt this was a good time to branch out and seek a different company. When I used the internet I thought my choices seemed responsible and legitimate. After signing off on the move I later found out that many internet based movers are absolutely terrible crooks. Needless to say I became concerned that I had been scammed.
Well, let me pass on that you are the real deal and a very good one at that. The help I received from Bell and Mike in the offices was timely and professional. The care and treatment of the furniture were excellently handled and protected. Your quotes were fair and reasonable and indeed you did get my furniture to the location in Texas within the time window you state on your contract.
