This was hands down the best moving experience I’ve had in 12 years. George and his crew showed up on time, loaded my belongings in 1 hour 30 minutes, and finished promptly. There is a long set of stairs leading down to my house, about 40 steps, and they handled it with no problem. They also offered to take away trash that was left-over from opening boxes. Overall, very professional, very nice people, and hard workers. Thanks Northstar!

Just moved about a month ago. Everything I needed and look for in a moving company was provided at a very reasonable cost. Friendly, punctual, efficient, careful and considerate. I highly recommend them and would use them again if (gulp) I had to move anytime soon.

My husband and I used North Star for our move from Hollywood to West LA. These guys were great. They were a half an hour early and really were pros. George the foreman was fantastic. He and his crew not only packed up all the boxes and furniture we had ready to go but George also packed up all the dishes in my kitchen that we didn’t manage to get to. And the unloading was done in a flash. They were so friendly and professional, I would recommend North Star to anybody. This was a really quick and unexpected move we had to make and having a great moving service took away so much of the stress. Thank you, North Star!!

Northstar Moving recently moved us from a house we had been in for roughly 30 years. Needless to say, we had a lot of things to move. The Northstar movers arrived on time, and they were courteous, polite and professional. They handled our belongings with care and when we got to the new house, they went the extra mile to make sure that everything was where we wanted it to be. Our experience with Northstar Moving was completely positive, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team work harder. These guys knew what to do and kept moving from the moment they arrived at the old house until all was unloaded and placed exactly where we wanted at the new house. They even offered some very good suggestions along the way. They made what could have been a very stressful day very easy for my family and I. My deepest graittude to Northstart Moving!

I called several moving companies before choosing NorthStar for our big move. Most companies wouldn’t give us a firm estimate and I didn’t want an end of moving $$ surprise. NorthStar actually came out, reviewed our furniture and needs for moving and gave us a quote on the spot. The truck arrived on time and the staff were clean, friendly and worked hard. They moved all our furniture into the new home, assembled our furniture and cleaned up all the packing materials before leaving. Very happy with them and would recommend them highly. Oh and I thought the price was very fair 🙂

Absolutely wonderful! They moved our 5500 square foot home from Agoura to Ojai. We have many high-end items as well as extremely heavy and large items and all were wrapped and treated with kit gloves by Nick and his crew. From the initial contact with Barak Cohen who came out and gave a detailed estimate to the wonderful, pleasant, professional and thoughtful Nick and his moving crew, I couldn’t have asked for a smoother move (which took place over 2 days).

Moving Haiku: Moving is not fun NorthStar made it easier Thanks for moving me! I just moved from the beautiful west side which has been my home for most of my life to the canyons in the north valley! While it’s not exactly a cross country move, it certainly had it’s challenges and stresses. But then I called NorthStar and at least they took a huge load off of our shoulders! I heard about NorthStar through a really great deal that I found on Angie’s List, so I gave them a call to get some details and get everything set up. The lady on the phone asked some questions to get an idea of what type of move this would be and gave us a pretty accurate estimate of what everything would end up costing. Everything with the actual move from point A to point B went really great and smooth thanks to NorthStar. On the day of the move, three guys showed up on time and were quick and efficient in getting everything moved out of our apartment and onto the truck. I was very pleased with how carefully they packed away out fragile items and our furniture to ensure that they would not get damaged. What I especially liked about their service was that they did not charge us for the use of furniture pads, or wardrobe boxes and came with plenty in tow to accommodate all of our belongings. The only things that we got charged for were non-reuseable items such as packing tape and plastic wrap that was used to secure furni-pads and keep your belongings safe, and the prices for those were totally reasonable. Once they arrived at our home, we bought some pizza as a thank you for all of their hard work so far and they took a quick little lunch break to eat before starting the unloading process. The three guys definitely had their work cut out for them when they were unloading everything into our new home because there were quite a lot of stairs to climb, but all three of them were real troopers and were able to get the job done in a reasonable amount of time (which had been the estimated time frame that the lady on the phone had predicted). I hope that i won’t be moving anytime soon, but if I ever do, I will definitely keep NorthStar in mind, and have already recommended it to some other friends and family that might be moving in the near future. Thank you to the whole NorthStar team for making this stressful process go as smooth as possible.!

I just finished my move from Los Angeles with NorthStar Moving a couple of days ago, and I had to share my experience. I have a few times moved before, and this is by far the best movers I have ever used. The person from the office was very helpful and knowledgeable, and it was very clear that my best interest was his first priority. After going over all the information with me, he sent me an email confirming all that we spoke of, and I was able to reserve the date of my choice. The movers that showed up (Tony and his crew) were amazing. They not only were professional movers, but they also were nice and kind. They smiled when they showed up and were personable the whole move, and anything that I asked from them was done with a ‘no problem’. They were even kind of funny with each other, and really fun to watch working. They even gave me a number for a company that helped me with some other parts of the move and my storage, which was also great, and I will post a review about them as well. Overall these guys are the best movers I have ever used, and everyone that I dealt with were personable and professional. It is very rear to deal with a company that is so focused on customer service and is so good at what they do. I will never use another moving company again, that’s for sure.

Cross-country move: LA, CA to Austin, TX. Northstar is a superb company that has gone above and beyond our expectations every step of the way. We will definitely be using them for our next move. They were prompt on their arrival, quick in packing, and extremely careful – treating each piece of furniture as if it were their own. They worked with us on the price, stored our belongings while we found a new place at no additional charge (up to a month), and they were just as great at unpacking our things. (Also, when they first arrived we hadn’t finished packing, but they packed the additional items at no extra charge! I couldn’t believe it!) After our move they called us to make sure that everything was as it should be. I mentioned that one of our floor lamps had a cracked bass and they offered to replace it. Awesome! I wouldn’t even have called them about it because I figured one busted lamp is pretty good for a cross-country move. Well worth the money. They pride themselves on their reputation. You can trust this company with your next move.

I’ve used a few moving companies and these guys are the best. I was hesitant about using for long distance as it seems most of the best reviews were for local moves. Corporate office was very helpful in setting things up and answering questions. Don’t have to wait on hold or talking to a computer for ever. The price ended up being cheaper than quoted even though I thought it was going to be more expensive. The guys who came to move were awesome! 7 guys came and they were fast and efficient. They all moved around doing things synchronously with even talking to each other much. They were a well oiled machine. It still took 6 hours to pack up my house…. that’s how much crap I had. All our stuff was already in boxes too. Don’t use their boxes. Way too expensive. I ended up using 1 or 2 just because they needed more and I didn’t want to drive to home depot. The delivery time window was pretty on. They were a little late because of someone didn’t show up to pick up on the prior delivery. The guys who unloaded were not very good. Because it’s a long distance move they hire some local guys. There were 3 of them. I could tell a huge difference between those who packed and loaded my house and these three “freelancers.” It was like night and day. It was quite obvious they didn’t know what they were doing very well. One guy was straight out lazy…. Hopefully they find some more reliable people on long distance. if you have a small load the truck driver will probably do it himself. When we finally finished unwrapping things there were 2 minor things damaged. Corporate followed up to make sure things went smoothly. I told them about the 3 “freelancers” and the 2 damaged articles. They promptly went above and beyond what they were liable for and more than made up for it with their awesome customer service. They even put value on my time and inconvenience. As I mentioned above, it wasn’t completely perfect, but they value you as a customer and also understand that your time is valuable and worth something. I feel their customer service is above and beyond anything else out there and that is why I’m giving them 5 stars.

Having moved several times in the last few years, I am quite familiar with unpleasant moving experiences…this was not one of them. North Star took great care of my belongings, and even more, they provided excellent customer service. Someone always answered when I called, they return phone calls, and they do what they say they will do. I was most impressed by the care they took to ensure a broken item was satisfactorily taken care of. Customer service representatives called regularly to inquire about the status of the claim and I was promptly sent reimbursement for the cost of the repair. I highly recommend this company for hassle-free moving (who knew that even existed?!).

I am thankful that NorthStar made my move easy and fast. The three-man crew were friendly, helpful, and worth every penny. From the beginning of the process to the final payment, I have never been as satisfied with any company as I have with NorthStar. Go with them if you are thinking of using a moving company.

These guys were great. I was lucky enough to be able to schedule a move time with them with only 3 days notice. The told me they would be there anytime between 12pm and 6pm, but they would call me an hour before they came, which was really awesome. They ended up coming at 12 pm on the dot and got me fully moved into my new studio by 2pm. They were great, so fast and efficient! There were no extra fees and they took care of my stuff! This company could not have given me better service from start til finish. they came to give me a quote (on a Staurday at my convenience – even showed up on time) and actually moved me the next day. The estimate was more than fair ( best price i was quoted out of 2 other companies) and they were fast and efficient and careful with all of my stuff. as my kids got in their way and tried to tell them 4 different places to put one piece of furniture, they were patient and patient and patient. i received a firm/set/not-to-exceed price and there were NO HIDDEN costs and they even let me use their boxes for free – the ONLY NEGATIVE…..I can’t use them as often as I’d like …TELL EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Northstar moved me for the 3rd time last week, and these guys are fantastic! Moving is always a stressful experience, and Gadi is reassuring and confidence-inspiring throughout the process. I think their prices are extremely fair, especially considering how efficient and hardworking their moving crews are. And each time they’ve come in below their estimate. I have a ton of fragile and expensive electronic and film equipment, and Northstar has never damaged a thing. They take great care in packing everything securely, wrapping every piece of furniture, and making sure all boxes are protected with plenty of packing material. The move took two days (one for packing, one for the actual move), and the same crew of 4 guys worked both days. They were efficient, hard-working, and careful throughout the process. Unlike other moving companies I’ve used, the guys from Northstar are highly experienced, and I felt like I was in great hands all the way. The move went smooth as silk, and to top it off, Gadi is sending a truck over to pick up all the empty boxes left over from unpacking! I can’t recommend Northstar highly enough.

We used Northstar about a month ago when we moved into our newly built home. After all the toil, time and trouble of going through new construction, we were very sensitive to use a moving company that will be respectful of our furniture but also of the floors, the fresh paint and the wood works. We contacted Gadi who gave us an in home estimate, unlike the other movers who only gave over the phone estimates, open to much inaccuracies. Northstar were like magic men. They came a day prior to cellophane and blanket wrap all the furniture. the furniture was “mummified”. The day of the move the men arrived right on time, with a great attitude and ultimately worked their magic into descending some furniture that did not fit through doorways down from the balcony. At a blink of an eye almost, the sofa and desk we had so painfully brought upstairs some years ago, was slid into their truck. It was effortless for us but they made look under control and in unison for themselves too. Every room in the house was emptied and for our clothing ample boxes with rods were supplied. when we arrived at the new home, we were already confident with the choice we had made. They worked tirelessly to move every piece and position and unwrap in the correct placement, then they assembled all the disassembled parts. Overall, we are writing because more often than not you are promised one thing but delivered another but we are more than pleased with the impeccable service each crew member of Northstar provided. Gadi was the front face of trust, respect and a well run company for us.

I just used them last weekend for a quick move (about 15 minutes away). It’s the first time I’ve hired professional movers, so I was a little reluctant and didn’t know what to expect. Ended up getting 3 really helpful guys. We didn’t have much to move, so were pretty much done in about 2 hours. They even helped me take apart our washer/dryer. And another thing – they accidentally forgot to unload a ladder, and didn’t realize it until they were about 30 mins away. They called me and came right back, which was unexpected. I’d definitely use them again. Sales/corporate staff was helpful too – I booked it a little over a week before my move, and they were able to accommodate.
