These guys were great. I was lucky enough to be able to schedule a move time with them with only 3 days notice. The told me they would be there anytime between 12pm and 6pm, but they would call me an hour before they came, which was really awesome.
They ended up coming at 12 pm on the dot and got me fully moved into my new studio by 2pm. They were great, so fast and efficient!
There were no extra fees and they took care of my stuff!
I will definitely use them the next time I move!

This company could not have given me better service from start til finish. they came to give me a quote (on a Staurday at my convenience – even showed up on time) and actually moved me the next day. Northstar moved me for the 3rd time last week, and these guys are fantastic! Moving is always a stressful experience, and Gadi is reassuring and confidence-inspiring throughout the process. I think their prices are extremely fair, especially considering how efficient and hardworking their moving crews are. And each time they’ve come in below their estimate.
I have a ton of fragile and expensive electronic and film equipment, and Northstar has never damaged a thing. They take great care in packing everything securely, wrapping every piece of furniture, and making sure all boxes are protected with plenty of packing material.
The move took two days (one for packing, one for the actual move), and the same crew of 4 guys worked both days. They were efficient, hard-working, and careful throughout the process. Unlike other moving companies I’ve used, the guys from Northstar are highly experienced, and I felt like I was in great hands all the way.
The move went smooth as silk, and to top it off, Gadi is sending a truck over to pick up all the empty boxes left over from unpacking!

We used Northstar about a month ago when we moved into our newly built home. After all the toil, time and trouble of going through new construction, we were very sensitive to use a moving company that will be respectful of our furniture but also of the floors, the fresh paint and the wood works.
We contacted Gadi who gave us an in home estimate, unlike the other movers who only gave over the phone estimates, open to much inaccuracies.
Northstar were like magic men.
They came a day prior to cellophane and blanket wrap all the furniture. the furniture was “mummified”. The day of the move the men arrived right on time, with a great attitude and ultimately worked their magic into descending some furniture that did not fit through doorways down from the balcony. At a blink of an eye almost, the sofa and desk we had so painfully
brought upstairs some years ago, was slid into their truck. It was effortless for us but they made look under control and in unison for themselves too.
Every room in the house was emptied and for our clothing ample boxes with rods were supplied.
when we arrived at the new home, we were already confident with the choice we had made. They worked tirelessly to move every piece and position and unwrap in the correct placement, then they assembled all the
disassembled parts.
Overall, we are writing because more often than not you are promised one thing but delivered another but we are more than pleased with the impeccable service each crew member of Northstar provided. Gadi was the front face of trust, respect and a well run company for us.
I just used them last weekend for a quick move (about 15 minutes away). It’s the first time I’ve hired professional movers, so I was a little reluctant and didn’t know what to expect.
Ended up getting 3 really helpful guys. We didn’t have much to move, so were pretty much done in about 2 hours. They even helped me take apart our washer/dryer.
And another thing – they accidentally forgot to unload a ladder, and didn’t realize it until they were about 30 mins away. They called me and came right back, which was unexpected.
I’d definitely use them again. Sales/corporate staff was helpful too – I booked it a little over a week before my move, and they were able to accommodate.
These guys are total professionals. I’ll be happy to use them again in the future.
We had a complicated move: LA to San Francisco with stops at storage locations in both places. Was worried that something would go wrong, but Northstar handled it in exemplary fashion.
First contact was with Alice at the home office. She was super nice and patient, walked me through the whole process and afterward followed up to make sure all my questions had been answered.
A few days later, Ilan came out for a no-cost estimate: He took about 15 mins, did a few calculations and then gave me a price that was more than reasonable.
On the day of the move, Carlos and his crew showed up bright and early, and they couldn’t have been friendlier or more professional. We hadn’t had time to pack everything, and these guys made quick work of whatever was left. Seriously, these guys work hard.
A few days later, on the day we had arranged, they showed up at our new place in SF and unloaded everything – again, let me emphasize that they work FAST.
After the move, I discovered that a few supports from a chaise lounge had fallen off on the move. Called Northstar, spoke to Wendy and after gathering the facts she immediately agreed to cover the whole replacement cost (even though the price to do so was quite high).
Moving is never fun, but Northstar really helped minimize the stress. I’d recommend them to anyone.

We became aware of NorthStar after a friend had used them successfully for his local move. A few months later when we were preparing for our own local move, we called and scheduled with NorthStar. It was simple, direct and convenient right from the start.
Over the phone, the sales and move coordinating teams were very professional and extremely helpful. They explained every detail and answered every question we had. Our fears and worries about moving day were pleasantly dispelled by their patience and experience.
On moving day, the movers arrived on time and ready to go. Raoul was the foreman, and he was an excellent captain. He got down to business and was friendly. His team, Martin and Alex, were also excellent. Together they were a fast and efficient team who took great care with our belongings. Our move was completed on time without any hiccups, hassles or worries.

I researched on the internet a variety of moving companies in Los Angeles. I chose NorthStar Moving Company because they were reasonably priced. They came out to my apartment before my “moving day” to give me a free estimate as to how much it would cost to move the furniture. They gave me a time frame as to when they would come on the day of the move: 12-6pm. The good thing was that they would call me 1 hour before they came so I did not have to wait at home for them.
I was worried about having someone move my 60″ t.v.!
They handled my furniture with care and none of my furniture was broken or scratched.
I would recommend NorthStar to help with your move.
Okay – so we had these ENORMOUS couches that my boss had purchased for our office. Of course, they wouldn’t fit in the elevator OR the stairs, so the first moving company gave up on them. I called a second moving company and they couldn’t figure it out either. Finally we called North Star and those guys were able to somehow (through ingenuity, blood, sweat, and removing legs and a 2 ton door) get the couches upstairs.
They are efficient, inexpensive and NOT LAZY. They were amazing. I would highly recommend them.
They were also well-mannered and patient and I never felt like I was putting them out with such a difficult job.

I had a great experience with Northstar. Ron Cohen gave me an estimate that ended up being exactly right. He also suggested a 4 man crew and gave me the same price as the other companies gave for 3 men. It got done a lot quicker and the 4 movers were all really cool guys. I recommend giving them a call if you need to move. The price is about average, but the service is great. I’ve gone with cheaper companies in the past and gotten burned. This is definitely the best value out there.
NorthStar’s quote was reasonable and the movers were very professional. They were recommended to me by a professional in the field, and I was thrilled with their efficiency and ethics.
I used NorthStar for a business move of some large equipment. Setting up the appointment was extremely easy and only took about 5 minutes. I asked about hidden costs and when the job was done, I owed exactly the amount that I was quoted.
The drivers were very professional, and polite and took care with the items being moved. The truck had a very adequate lift for these large items, and all items were well secured within the truck.
I had one hiccup with the move, not due to NorthStar. I realized after the movers had left that there were two large items that I had forgotten to call out for the move. I called NorthStar about 15 mins after their movers had left, and spoke to dispatch. They said they would find the drivers, and call me back. The long and the short of it is the drivers came back and moved the two items. I was within the three hour minimum, so there was not charge.
All in all a good experience. I would use them again.
I moved just over a week ago, and am finally unpacked, it was a short move, I stayed in Hollywood and have never used movers before, but will always use them from now on.
NorthStar Movers were fantastic. They were polite, courteous, and helpful on the phone. They gave me all the information on the phone and answered all of my questions. My sister has used movers several times and gave me some advise on questions to ask about hidden costs and the people on the phone covered almost everything on my list before I had a chance to ask about it. They also emailed me an official quote and gave me names and phone numbers to call in case I had any questions.
Booking was a piece of cake, I gave them a day and they gave me a choice of times, confirmed with an email, and then called to confirm the day before the move reminding me that they would call 1-2 hours before the movers were to arrive. And that is exactly what happened! The 3 guys who moved me were great, they were friendly and talked to me while moving me quicker than I could have imagined, I have a one bedroom, and they had everything wrapped and loaded into the truck in an hour. It took them about 90 minutes to unload everything and put my bed, desk and bookshelf back together for me. I moved in with a friend who had a couple of heavy things to take down to the curb, and the guys even did that for us, for no extra charge.
This was the best moving experience I’ve ever had and I’m sure a large part of it was because of the movers. I will use this company every time I move from now on, they were amazing!!
NorthStar Moving Company was by very far the best moving company I have ever used. They showed up right on time, with clean, polite & respectful movers. I have a lot of heavy & fragile furniture and they were able to handle everything seemingly effortlessly.
They had my whole house packed up, on the truck truck & unloaded in just a short work day, I couldn’t have asked them to move any quicker or with more care.
When I first called NorthStar I spoke with a very professional & polite woman named Kat Alexander, She handled all of my questions through out the entire moving process, It was truly refreshing to get to speak with her every time I needed to call, knowing I wouldn’t have to re-explain the whole situation all over again with a different person.
They had one of the best price tags I’ve ever even heard of a moving company providing, they were completely fair in what they charged me, especially considering how much work they actually had to do, along with helping me box things up throughout the day, because I waited till the last minute to pack.

I received such good service from Eliseo,Alfredo and Miguel of Northstar movers that it has compelled me to write my first review. The crew headed by Eliseo was extremely professional, considerate and fast. They are fast in a good way, they were organized and made sure that none of my stuff was damaged. I spoke with the office and they were clear of minimum times and cost, so no complaints there.
The bottom line is.. the company strive to do a good job from customer relations, execution of the move and fair price.

Used this Company for a move from West L.A. to Marina Del Rey. Rep came out, gave a not to exceed quote for a full service move including packing, all materials and transport. Expensive way to go, but, with my schedule it was worth it to me to not have any surprises and to have all the work done for me.
Movers showed up on time, did an outstanding job taking great care of my belongings. Contents of an entire two bedroom apartment moved into my new condo without so much as a broken glass. Everything was wrapped and packed professionally.

We’ve used NorthStar twice this month. One was a move for my sister from Long Beach to Sherman Oaks. The other was my move from Long Beach to San Pedro. We received estimates for both moves from other moving companies as well as NorthStar. We were explained the double drive time law BY ALL THE COMPANIES – this is not a unique charge with NorthStar. We were also explained the extra charge for packing materials BY ALL THE COMPANIES. Again, this was not unique to NorthStar. Their estimate fell in the middle of 3 moving companies. But because NorthStar was highly recommended by a friend who moves frequently and has a lot of delicate equipment, we chose them.
For both moves, the movers arrived early, were professional and worked hard. They were careful with our possessions, wrapped/protected everything, and moved everything where I needed it to go. My sister’s move was a smaller move (small 2 bedroom house). When we scheduled the move, Ron recommended optional move dates to reduce our cost (less demand and less traffic). They were right on. They arrived at 8 am and had her moved in by noon. Amazing!
For our move (large 3 bedroom house), they arrived at 7:30 and had us moved in by 3 pm. For this move they went $300 over the estimate in time/supplies. But they DID NOT CHARGE US for more than the estimate amount! Most companies would flag you that they were going over estimate or just let you know in the end, but the guys kept working and in the end charged us for what was initially estimated.
They contact you to confirm your move and then follow up to make sure it went ok. They really do care about their business and customer satisfaction. Some reviewers complain about them being more expensive but they’re worth every penny! I’ve moved at least 15 times over the past 20 years and they are by far the best moving company I’ve ever used. I would highly recommend them to family and friends.
These guys were phenomenal. This was the first time I have ever hired anyone to help me move, and they made the process easy. Everything was clearly explained to me on the telephone when I reserved the service, and then they were diligent in following to confirm my appointment beforehand. The 3-man crew showed up on time and got straight to work. They wrapped my furniture meticulously, and were careful to show me any pre-existing damage before touching anything. Although I underestimated the time it would take to move my stuff (which I had carefully packed & organized), they moved quickly and efficiently. And the whole time, they were courteous and polite, asking permission before using the restroom or anything. They also did a fabulous job placing my furniture exactly where I wanted it in the new space.
So it goes without saying that I highly recommend them and will absolutely use them again the next time I have to move.

This team of movers completed my move in only 3 hours and 45 mintues…without damaging anything! The last mover I hired damaged my fridge and amoire and it took them 7.5 hours to complete the same move!

I have moved 5 times in the last 5 years and NorthStar ranks as the best moving company I have used. From estimating to working with my schedule at short notice and the actual move they were excellent. Ron Cohen helped make me comfortable that I wouldn’t be charged more than the estimate and the packers and movers did a great job fast. I found the company on Yelp and will never use anyone else again. They moved me from Woodland Hills to West Hills and I ended up paying them slightly less than the estimate – can you believe that! Great work guys and highly recommended.
