We are so glad we booked our move through Northstar movers! They were prompt in giving us a quote through the Yelp app as well as emailing and calling us for the details. They also confirmed with us the day before through phone call. I also appreciate that they did not try to upsell us with the insurance, when we told them that we just wanted the basic insurance. They arrived on time and went quickly to work. We already packed everything so it was just purely moving from North Hollywood to Porter Ranch. They accomplished it within 4.5 hours, moving us from a two bedroom condo to a three bedroom  house. No chit chat and they all wore their masks (although one guy’s mask keep sliding down when he was working, but that’s understandable with the labor). All in all, we were very happy with Ian and his team. We would recommend Northstar movers!

I hired NorthStar on the recommendation of a friend who had a good experience.  Carlos, Leon, and Edgar were great.  They were right one time, and immediately got to work.  They packed quickly and handled my items with care.  Everything was delivered in perfect shape, on time and on budget.  I would definitely hire NorthStar again!

My boyfriend and I moved this past Saturday, when covid has gotten worse, and we used Northstar Moving Company. We had Lucas and his team, and we loved them so much. They broke down the bed, wrapped all of our furniture and TVs, reassembled everything, even helped us throw away trash. They wore their masks the entire time- and we could not get over the efficiency that the team had. From noon to 5pm, we were wrapped up and loaded, driven to the next destination, and unloaded. We would use them a million times again if we had to move- do not ask for anyone else!!!

Took a little time to write this review, however all positive.  Johan, Jorge, and Enrique were amazing.  They moved everything carefully and efficiently from a third floor apartment in the city to Simi Valley with ease.  They were on schedule, did not stop for lunch in between, and got the job done with half the effort.  The reason I chose your company over 4 other moving companies was due to the fact, when forwarding virtual photographs of my rooms of furniture, Ron Cohen (the estimator) pointed out an antique wood and glass cabinet, which he said his men would be extra careful with.  Other movers quoted the move by the pound or cubic feet, and didn’t notice any fine furniture pieces.  Yes, Johan and his crew were extra careful with everything, totally respectful, and now the whole lot is happily in place in its new home.

This place was awesome!!! They were quick and very safe! We packaged up everything with a few loose odds and ends. They made quick work securing those items. We moved from a third floor apartment and they flew up and downs those stairs without complaining. I would highly recommend them. They are honest, had no hidden fees and were super friendly to us and our toddler.

Would absolutely use this company again. The 4 young men were polite and Covid-19 protocol observant at all times, They came within the time frame they told me and worked much faster than I expected. Because less furniture was moved than originally included in the estimate,  i knew the final price would be lowered. I expected a small price reduction and got a  much larger reduction; that’s integrity at work.

I’ve never written a review before but Northstar exceeded my expectations this morning! They showed up exactly on time, started packing up the truck the second they got there and hustled the whole time. Kyle, David, and Adam were my movers this morning and I would highly recommend them to anyone! They got all my stuff packed up safely and efficiently, were very professional, and extremely friendly! I will absolutely be using them the next time I move. AMAZING team! If you need movers these are the guys.

This is our second time using Northstar and we were very happy with Alex’s Team. They helped us move our entire apartment from Mid-city to West LA. They made us feel safe and were very professional. We will be back if/when we move to a bigger place!

Amazing. Second move with Northstar and they are simply the best — for both local and long distance. They are easy to work with, efficient, and good to your stuff. Have worked with other moving companies only to be let down. Northstar picks up where everyone else leaves off. Highly recommended and they rocked it during a pandemic — bonus points for that.

One of the universal truths of adulting is that moving sucks.  There’s no way around that.

But you can definitely make it suck for the shortest amount of time by hiring NorthStar to help you out.

These guys have moved me twice:   Back in 2018, I moved from a Slightly Less Fancy DTLA apartment to an Unreasonably Fancy DTLA apartment, and one of the move in perks was up to $1,000 in moving expenses from NorthStar was covered.  I made my reservation a couple weeks in advance, and had an 8am-10am arrival window.  They actually arrived a little early, and the guys were diligent and extremely hard workers.  They disassembled my bed, moved everything, and reassembled my bed, and the whole thing was over by 9:30 a.m.  

Fast forward to 2020, and COVID-19 has rendered all Fancy Apartment Amenities meaningless, work from home has eliminated the need for a walkable commute, and I am yet again in need of movers (but with more stuff, because now I have a desk, a Peloton, and other such quarantine requirements).

I dug through my inbox, found the rockstars that moved me the last time, and reached out.  Again, they were able to schedule a reservation within a couple weeks (pro tip:  moving on a weekday gets you a cheaper rate), and again they crushed it.

I had another 8-10am arrival window, and they called promptly at 8 to let me know they would arrive at 9:30.  They were true to their word.  All three guys showed up (in masks, which I appreciated), and worked hard.  I had to dip out at 10 am for a work call, but they finished the loading job on their own, to my instructions.  I met them at the new place, and everything was done by 12:30.  All of my stuff was wrapped and packed up with care and efficiency, and was safely delivered without a scratch, TWICE.  

I can’t recommend these guys enough.  Their hourly rate is a little bit higher than others my friends have used, but I have avoided all of their horror stories (and actually came out with a lower bill, because these guys work so hard they get the job one in half the time).

Long story short: I have hired NorthStar twice, and have had exceptional experiences both times.  I will always hate moving, but I love these movers.  If I’m moving again, I’m hiring NorthStar.

I don’t know what someone else here was talking about, they all wore masks the entire time and were incredibly safe.
