I just moved 2 wks ago and they sent a 4 man team with 2 trucks for 150/hr. It took me from 8 AM to 1 pm to move all my boxes/ 2 fridges/2 TVs for a 3 bedroom 2000 Sq Ft house. ( this was a local move) They came a day in advance gave me an estimate for no more than $1500 for what may be a 10 hr job, and I only had to pay a 1000 for how efficient and quick they were. There was no lies and no BS like the last company pulled on me ( bringing a small truck so they had to load and reload and take more time!!) . With North star I was done by 1 PM and I even gave each worker 50 bucks for being so fast! It was a HOT day and god bless them for doing such a great job. I loved how I knew what I was dealing with and everything was so up front. Kudos to Ben and his team.

NorthStar Moving Company was by very far the best moving company I have ever used. They showed up right on time, with clean, polite & respectful movers. I have a lot of heavy & fragile furniture and they were able to handle everything seemingly effortlessly. They had my whole house packed up, on the truck truck & unloaded in just a short work day, I couldn’t have asked them to move any quicker or with more care. When I first called NorthStar I spoke with a very professional & polite woman named Kat Alexander, She handled all of my questions through out the entire moving process, It was truly refreshing to get to speak with her every time I needed to call, knowing I wouldn’t have to re-explain the whole situation all over again with a different person. They had one of the best price tags I’ve ever even heard of a moving company providing, they were completely fair in what they charged me, especially considering how much work they actually had to do, along with helping me box things up throughout the day, because I waited till the last minute to pack. I moved to Los Angeles about 6 years ago and have moved around the area near 10 times, using all the well known and not so well known moving companies, and the only problem I had with NorthStar was that I didn’t find them 6 years ago; They would have saved me a lot of time, money, hassle & damaged property. As long as I live in Los Angeles, I will never look for another moving company again. Thank you so much NorthStar Moving Company!

I wish there were more stars to give NorthStar. I recently moved from Georgia to California in kinda of a hurry. I made a decision to call three moving companies before committing and I am happy to say I never made it past the second call; NorthStar was call number two and there was no need to look any further. Lynn was my representative, and she took responsibility from the first call until delivery date. Once my items were scheduled to be picked up, I also began to work with Adam who was in charge of dispatching and delivery. Adam was simply PHENOMENAL!!! Every commitment was completed, every call returned and every question answered. They really made me feel like I mattered and my move was the most important item on their list. I also commend the movers who delivered and reassembled my furniture. They too were courteous and helpful. Providing placement ideas for my items and offering to go beyond my expectations. I am so impressed! I have never had the liberty to meet Lynn or Adam, but I send them the biggest hug and thank you

Very good stuff

3.5 years ago I moved from SF to London. Northstar came and packed up all my stuff and put it into storage. About 3 weeks ago I moved back from London to San Jose and I had only a short time here to get my stuff. The team at Northstar took great care of me. After 3.5 years they brought all my stuff none of which was damaged in anyway and set up my bedroom for me. They arrived on time and were very quick about getting things done! And it was cheaper than any other quotes.. the storage fees per month werent bad at all either!
If you are moving.. and or you need storage I would highly recommend NorthStar! Good people and good product!

These guys were great! The estimate was very fair and the completed job cost less than the estimate! They packed my kitchen (which I highly recommend) and nothing was broken or scratched. They were on time, friendly, efficient and well organized.

Wow, NorthStar is INCREDIBLE. After getting completely screwed over by another company (on the DAY of the move!!!!!) NorthStar was able to absolutely save us. They were able to accommodate us to an incredible degree and set us with movers the FOLLOWING DAY. This was amazing work! These are people who actually CARE about their customers! I would HIGHLY recommend NorthStar Moving! At the risk of sounding like a cheesy commercial, they completely SAVED me!

OK – moving can be a real pain in the ass, add to that the confusion and “sales” activity of some movers and/or sticker shock for the final bill, it is no fun. NorthStar had a professional and non-fast talking on site quote drafted by Ron Cohen. It was very detailed and included a “not to exceed” price. These folks were not the least expensive, but I had a much higher level of confidence on the quote. I got a email the same day with the written quote and all the details, including the inventory and price. What they moved: 3 bdrm house and a full garage, fast and clean, no breakage, got into the new place same day under the time estimate and right under budget! IF I HAD TO DO ANY MOVING I would call these folks first and save myself some drama. cheers – cg
