Moving day out of San Francisco, and we decided to go with Northstar movers again, because they are awesome! Our friend recommended them to us when we moved from LA, and they are highly efficient in getting multiple pieces of furniture out at once, and while doing it super carefully! I was really impressed at how they explained the process from picking up the pieces to taking them to the warehouse where they will be picked up again to go back down to southern CA. You want honesty when you have movers take your valuable items, and we really appreciate the movers from Northstar Pleasanton for helping us out!!
Storage
I believe I got my estimate and appointment set up by messaging the more popular San Francisco page, but writing my review here by request of my boy Jesse.
Planning a long out of state move is rough and take a lot of time. I had maybe 30 boxes and 5 pieces of furniture including a bed, tables, and chairs. Got my two hour window and I was ready to go.
Tail end comes and my boys Jesse, Kevin, and Corry show up (or Kevin and the band). Not only were they super professional, coming fully equipped with dollies and packing materials, they were highly efficient – taking almost 400 pounds of materials in one go, amazing!
One of my guys helped me out in the paperwork, super easy to sign and broke down the process real smoothly. Sure enough, another North Star employee emailed me the next day with an exact rate very close to the estimate I got.
From my call from Alma over the phone to my three guys on move out day, North Star has very personable basically been flawless support for my move. I am literally a better person from this move, and I look forward to seeing them on the other side.

This is my second time hired NorthStar Movers. Ivan, Roger, & Augustine were great!! Came here right on time & moved everything in & out in a timely manner. Good customers service. I highly recommend this company.
So I’m used to moving all my stuff from one apartment to the next on my own but this time I decided to hire movers. First because both places (moving from and to) had an insane amount of stairs and second because I just bought a new bed and it’s a pain in the @ss to take it apart and put it back together by yourself.

Vatche, Abraham and Levon did such an amazing job moving us in. They took their time and even took their shoes off to bring our stuff upstairs on our freshly laid white carpet. So so friendly and accommodating. Our stuff was in amazing condition. Even though it had been in their storage for 8 months.
Perfect coordination of services! We definitely appreciate the speedy service with Karan, Ricardo, and Jorge were super friendly and he’d working. Would totally recommend these guys to all my friends. Relatively reasonably priced, AND they have storage too! We moved from San Francisco, they stored our belongings for 2 months and moved it to our new location smoothly!
I’ve used NorthStar Moving for my past 4 moves in the last 15 years and continue to receive great service and I am very happy with them. The office staff is professional and follow through with email confirmations and reminders. The movers are equally as professional and on time. This year I had to move a home and separate office into storage for several months, then I relocated 120 miles away. There were a few snafu’s in this process because it was a complicated move. NorthStar handled all of my issues in a timely and professional manner. Thank you Ronald for the excellent job representing the quality and service of NorthStar. Our new home wasn’t ready when we sold our old home, so NorthStar packed-up our furniture, took it to their storage facility, and then delivered everything to our new home about 1.5 months later. Both the team that packed-up the furniture and the team that delivered it were on-time, very professional and very thorough. We highly recommend them.
We moved from CA to PA. They gave us a great deal and were very easy to work with. In the move an IKEA desk was damaged. I was worried that they would not take responsibility but they did. They compensated us more than fairly. I HIGHLY recommend them.
