I just recently moved with NorthStar Moving and it was amazing!

I have used NorthStar Moving two times in the past, and as a loyal client and big fan I knew that I could trust them with something as valuable as my family’s move. We recently had a baby, and with an expanding family, moving became both necessary and more challenging. However, from the first call to the last few boxes, their service was exceptional! The movers worked hard, the office team followed up throughout the move, we felt like the move was just as important to them as it was to us. We moved locally within the same neighborhood, but I don’t think I could have done it without NorthStar Moving. This was definitely the best moving experience ever! In these tough economic times you have to make sure you get value for what you are paying for, and I am happy to say that my move with NorthStar Moving is definitely worth it. Not only did they get the hard work taken care of, but they gave my family and me peace of mind, which in a move is priceless. I am such a big fan, I want everyone to try them, so I’m posting this review on every internet review site I can think of! Thank you NorthStar!

Thanks to Yelp I found a moving company in NorthStar that I could trust with my belongings. I have no complaints, (though I had everything boxed up and ready to go when they arrived so I can’t speak to their actual small item packing abilities) they helped my move go smoothly by taking my heaviest, most cumbersome items on a short, three mile move. That way I saved my back a little pain and they were able to come in, quickly load up my larger furniture and I think even they were surprised how quickly the process went. 

They were professional, prompt and I didn’t notice any damages. Their customer service (led by Wendy on the phone when I called for a reservation) was friendly and personable, and made me feel that I could trust them.

I was dreading having to move especially since I have a baby at home and needed the baby essentials unpacked and ready to go the same day. I had 3 guys from Northstar who were total life savers. These guys showed up a few minutes early and they had our stuff loaded into the truck in less than 2 hours. I was so amazed a bought the guys lunch. After lunch they started unloading and we were done a couple hours later. I was sure the move was going to go into the evening. Needless to say I was in total shock  when we were done by 2pm.  It was by far the easiest move I’ve ever experienced. The movers were fast, courteous and friendly. I would highly recommend Northstar to anyone I know.  I thought their pricing is reasonable and their service was excellent!

Northstar did a wonderful job with our move.  They were professional, pleasant, and handled all of our stuff with great care.  We couldn’t have been happier with our move.  I would highly recommend this company.

Moving is stressful.  It sucks.  Nobody likes the process, so these guys are a lifesaver.  They make life easier and as stress free as possible.

The people on the phone and on the actual move were all awesome.  Tori helped me on the phone she was great in getting me through the options and Guy H. and his crew moved my crap fast.  Get the extra mover guy to help out; 3 people is just a small upgrade in price, but it goes much faster.

They have moving blankets and tape and can help you get everything squared away and are great about wrapping tv’s, mattresses, etc.  Reasonable price too; worth the cost so you don’t have to bug your friends to help and the truck rental etc.

Moving is always going to suck, but these guys make it suck less.

Earlier this year I moved from LA county to South Orange County and they were a huge help.  The movers showed up on time, actually a little early.  They were friendly and very professional, and funny.  While on the freeway, they were great.  The drive in traffic was about an hour, and no one got lost or anything.  All my things were delivered in perfect condition.

I would just like to say thank you to all at Northstar Moving for making our move fast and painless. I think I speak for most people that finding fair and professional movers can be like looking for a needle in a haystack. But Northstar’s group of guys (Gil, Herberto, Ernesto) took really good care of me and my wife (and everything we own). They were fast, friendly, and professional… A great team!

Joel and his crew showed up early and were very efficient and hard working, as well as being pleasant to deal with.  I would definitely recommend North Star based upon our experience.

I called NorthStar on short notice for a move at the end of the month in Berkeley, CA. While all the other companies I called were busy, NorthStar was able to accommodate me. Even when I had to cancel at the last minute and then call back the next day to get the move appointment again, NorthStar was flexible and still had the slot to move my family. The team was courteous, efficient, and careful with our fragile pieces. I have used a lot of moving companies in the past few years, and NorthStar was by far the most patient and professional from the first call to the final box. Furthermore, their prices were below the rates of their competition. I give them my highest recommendation.

OK I’ve moved many times in the past always with mixed results. But I have to say hands down these folks have got it together on all levels. From the first phone call, to packing, loading, unloading and set up, Arial and his crew were total pros.

I went with Northstar based on the Yelp reviews. Now I’m glad to share the good word. No need to look anywhere else.

We just moved from a two bed, one bath place in West Hollywood to a two-level two bed, three bath in West L.A.  We had received a quote of $740 from a flat rate company, but thought we could get a better rate.  In the end, we decided to go with NorthStar and ended up completely satisfied with our decision.  

They showed up right on time and ready to work.  They did not dally or take unnecessary breaks.  They were careful; we had one minor incident where a piece of our credenza chipped off, but it was already damaged so we weren’t surprised at the chip and do not hold them responsible.  They were also polite and had extremely positive attitudes, despite impending rain and difficult conditions (see below).  We worked with Ariel and two other guys (Carlos was one, but I forgot the others’ name).  

In the end, even with the logistical problems, the price was $150 less than we were quotes by the flat rate company.  This is remarkable because we ran into SERIOUS logistical problems on the move-in end —  we were unable to lock the elevator, so we had to share it with others while we moved in.  This slowed the movers down considerably (although they tried their best to deal with it and — despite it not being their fault whatsoever — continually apologized for not being able to move as fast as they would like).  If we had not had to deal with this elevator issue, I am sure the price would have been much lower, still.    

In sum, the movers worked efficiently and carefully.  We trusted them with our things and felt at ease with them in our apartment.  I definitely recommend this company and would use them again for sure.
