NorthStar Moving Corp in Chatsworth – is Fantastic – 3000 mi move
There is no reason to shop around for a moving company – just hire this one NOW. This is my story….My dad passed away unexpectedly in May and I made a decision to move from California to Florida so that my mom would not be alone. Needless to say I was not really prepared to move or make such a drastic change in my life. The last thing I needed to worry about was getting “all my stuff” shipped to Florida. I went on the internet and put out a request for moving and received about 10 e-mails and 10 more phone calls from various movers. I had pretty much decided on one and then I got 2 more phone calls from 2 more movers beating the price from the one I selected. I thought it a bit strange, so I went onto the Better Business Bureau Website and all 3 of them were rated very poorly. However, NorthStar was on the website with an A rating and although they were not the least expensive I thought it was worth the extra $100 to go with an A rated company. My items were picked up as scheduled and within 24 hours was informed of the exact weight of my shipment and the price along with an estimated delivery date. Prior to delivery the driver phoned me to confirm address and time of delivery. I received all of my belongings on schedule and was so surprised, all 30 boxes did not have a scratch or dent and not one item was broken, the boxes were in the same condition they were in upon pickup. I have to say from start to finish everyone was friendly and polite, very helpful and patient. Each one a true professional from start to finish, Ted, Haim, Alex…etc…..Thank you so much for taking such good care of me and “my stuff”. Long Distance Move
I am writing this letter to convey my gratitude for the recent services your company rendered to me and my husband during our move to Oregon, where we are retiring, from Southern California. Your employees made a task that would have been monumental for us to complete look easy. We were informed all through the process what would be done for us and when it would be done. Our phone calls were returned promptly and all contact made by you and your team were professional. The manner in which our property was prepared for shipping, loaded and unloaded was exceptional. All of our belongings, including our antique radio cabinet and my grandmother’s antique oak chest, arrived safely. The payment we made to your company seems so inadequate for all the equipment, materials and man hours that were provided by your company for our move. “Thank you” just doesn’t seem to be enough. We will be forever grateful.

Your team of wonderful men knocked on our door bright and early, and they were energetic and eager to start working. They were fast, hard working and very professional. All four men divided and conquered different areas of the house to pack all our items with great care and concern. As you both know, we had many very fragile Art sculptures and heavy paintings that are cumbersome and large scale and they took the extra time to be sure all our Art was packed securely and labeled as such. I wanted to send a note of thanks. I recently shipped a few items of great personal value from San Francisco to Austin, Tx. I have used the same moving company for over 10 years for local moves and felt this was a good time to branch out and seek a different company. When I used the internet I thought my choices seemed responsible and legitimate. After signing off on the move I later found out that many internet based movers are absolutely terrible crooks. Needless to say I became concerned that I had been scammed.
Well, let me pass on that you are the real deal and a very good one at that. The help I received from Bell and Mike in the offices was timely and professional. The care and treatment of the furniture were excellently handled and protected. Your quotes were fair and reasonable and indeed you did get my furniture to the location in Texas within the time window you state on your contract.

A total of 420 boxes of records and 52 file cabinets all arrived unscathed.
