Northstar was the only company willing to work in my timeframe and were eager to help me. From first touch to the final delivery today the competent and caring staff kept me in constant communication and performed exactly as expected, only better.

Long Distance Move
If you want to hire a mover, you should call NorthStar Movers. They do local moves, they do interstate moves, and they do international moves. We’re moving to a different state, and the crew of three arrived today, and they are the best packers I have ever seen, and I’ve moved a lot. Everything is beautifully done. They worked really fast. Nothing was damaged in the apartment. Nothing was damaged in any of our boxes. And it’s all sitting in the truck downstairs. And we’re done. So, thank you.

The care they put into every package is what the consumer likes to see, the helpers are super nice. They are very clean, and quick.
I moved from CA to Washington state, and NorthStar moving was incredible! The movers in CA picked up the things I had in PODS, and then helped pack the things I still needed to pack in my house. It was a loooong day but they were so friendly, hard-working, and very conscientious with my things the entire day.
I was given a delivery window of two weeks, and they were able to schedule delivery on earlier side of the window. The WA delivery team had a stop before me that made them a bit late arriving on the day, which isn’t unusual for movers with multiple stops. The team was very kind and worked diligently to get everything off the trucks. Unfortunately they weren’t able to put all my furniture back together and some boxes ended up on the wrong floors that were too heavy for me to move by myself. Alejandra quickly organized a team to come help for a few hours a couple days later. They were great too.
I couldn’t be happier with the move and the service all around! Also, when I called, NorthStar still had me in their system from moves I did in 2006 and 2007! I found them again by asking ChatGPT for top rated interstate moving companies and they were one recommended. Their satisfaction rating speaks for itself.
NorthStar has been my go to moving company in California for 15 years. When I made a last minute decision to move interstate, they were right there with me and ready to pivot however needed.
I worked with Lotem Benshimon from the Client Loyalty Team. Lotem has been my point person since 2009. It was such a pleasure to work with her again in 2025. Lotem is more than just a moving coordinator, she’s a shining star inside and out.
Alejandra Becerra from Operations was my boots on the ground. She arranged for the moving teams both in CA and my cross country destination. She was there 24/7 to make sure all my questions were answered and that the moving teams met my expectations. And did they ever! A warm shout out to Forman Eliezar, Milton and Hugo on the west coast and Leo and Chris on the east. They showed up early, packed and unpacked with consideration and precision. They took their time and made me feel that all my belongings were in excellent hands.
On the insurance side, Kristi Hahn was my Northstar guide. She was excellent, patient and generous with both her time and knowledge.
Northstar is in that rare “Goldilocks zone”, neither too big nor too small. The excel in customer relations, efficiency and execution. I will continue to use Northstar for both domestic and international moves. I couldn’t be in better hands. 10 out of 10 stars.
Also, Lotem recommended A to Z Auto Shipping in Agoura Hills to transport my car. Everyone there was exceptional as well. Lee performed the cross country trip and delivered my car in under a week!
I hired NorthStar Moving Company for a cross-country move from Los Angeles to New York State. I couldn’t have been happier with their service. In L.A. the movers took good care of all of my belongings, wrapped my furniture, and even double packed some fragile items for me. I unpacked about 2 weeks ago and nothing was broken or lost! I would choose NorthStar over getting a POD any day. And after doing the math of a POD plus movers on either side, it came out to about the same amount, and it was nice to know that my belongings were being cared for by the same people the entire time. Highly recommend.
We recently used NorthStar Moving Company for a long distance move from Los Angeles to Houston and had an excellent experience. Ron came to our house for the initial quote, which was lower than competing national van line companies. We did full service with packing/moving – which went very smoothly and we did not encounter any issues. Moving trucks (Wilberto and his team) delivered our furniture one day earlier than expected and everything arrived without damages – not one item was broken (all mirrors intact and not a single piece of glassware broken). The packing and loading/unloading was done really well, and honestly I was very impressed with this company and happy with how stress-free our move was.
