I have the pleasure to address this letter of appreciation and recommendation for a very special person, Mr. Gadi M. Avigzer, of NorthStar Moving Corporation, in Los Angeles, where I was the Consul General of the Republic of Turkey until very recently.
It is not often I perform such a task, as I believe that a letter of appreciation and/or recommendation is a very serious matter. I would write one, only when I am convinced that ht person in reference has the right stuff and absolutely earns and deserves it. Without hesitation, I would consider this to be such a case.
After trusting to Mr. Avigzer, the special packaging, sensitive handling and overseas, as well as inland transportation of the museumlike quality, highly valuable objects and goods from The Turkish Consulate in Los Angeles to all the way in Istanbul, Turkey (also some to Boston) and receiving them all intact; and, previously to that, after observing for days, the exemplary way he demonstrated his superior management and leadership abilities during the sorting and packing of over 150 boxes of paintings, very delicate glass, silver and porcelain antiques and other delicate, very fragile times, my reasons to have such a highly positive opinion for this gentleman, are the following:
This well traveled, very articulate young man’s leadership qualities, analytical skills and ability to grasp new ideas and novel projects are well developed and I am confident that he will demonstrate constructive, as well as result oriented behavior when confronted with problems and even highly complex matters, conducive to resolution. He possesses the traits of persistence, efficiency and motivation to the fullest extend and I have pleasantly observed that these qualities of his are always accompanied with extreme courtesy, good spirits, cheerful attitude, very positive approach and a good sense of humor.
As a result, I would highly recommend Mr. Gadi Avigzer, for any promotion of higher office and management position, requiring serious responsibility.

As you know, our jobs normally consist of book collection shifts in our vaults, and sometimes moving supplies or collection materials from the Getty Center in Brentwood to our off site storage facility in the valley. Credit where credit is due. You people are just the best; from my first contact with you people over the phone I got a great impression of professionalism and courtesy right down the line.
I want to single out for praise Gil and Angel, who did a perfect job of moving from one place to two different places several antique pieces of some value for their quality but even more for sentimental reasons. Gil and Angel were unfailingly pleasant, courteous, and most important, knowledgeable–in short, they knew what they were doing every step of the way.
Gil is a great communicator; he knows how to listen. If I’d make a suggestion, he would either agree or explain succinctly and persuasively the reason he wanted to do it in a way he considered better or safer. (I assure you I really didn’t ask that many questions–or need to– but the point is I was really impressed with how he handled himself as well as he moved and packed my furniture!
He and Angel too reflect very well on your company. They were as careful with my stuff as if they have been hired to move Marie Antoinette’s bed out of the Palace of Versailles! I never would have believed the chore of moving furniture could be made to be such a pleasant experience.

Friday, May 6th from 9am-2pm, on Saturday,May 5th from 9am-4pm and Sunday, May 6th from 9am-2pm to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles’ 14th Annual Wine Tasting and Auction on May 5th, 2007. The donation of your time and generosity contributes to our ability to raise the necessary funds that enable us to grant the wishes of children in Los Angeles County living with life-threatening medical condition. This year’s event raised approximately $300,000. With your contribution, we will continue to bring hope,strength, and joy this year to nearly 400 children in our community.It is through generosity such as yours that we have been able to grant over 5,900 wishes over the past two decades. Your gift makes possible the wishes of children like triplets Allison, Jared and Nicholas all living with cystic fibrosis. These siblings were able to leave their worries behind as they lived out their dreams of taking a Disney Cruise. This vacation brought a new found happiness to the triplet’s lives. First off, please accept our apologies in not writing this letter sooner. As we are sure, you know it takes awhile to get back on track after a major transition.
In January of this year, we used your company for a second time to move us into a new facility and we are very pleased to say that, once again, the service was excellent! Based on our prior experience with the company we came directly to NorthStar this time instead of seeking out other moving companies to compare pricing and service. Gadi came out and gave us an estimate, and as always he was very pleasant and professional and when we had to push back our move date, he was extremely accommodating.
Once we were finally ready to move, we were able to schedule a crew very quickly and our original estimate still stood. On moving day, the crew arrived promptly, was very efficient and thorough, and even helped us to take apart shelving and furniture. Our foreman, Shay was incredibly helpful and professional, consistently checking in with us to ensure things were running smoothly. The rest of the crew, Iro, Hain, Tomer, Gal, and Maor all worked diligently and carefully, moving so fast that we were packed and ready to go well within 2 hours! Upon arriving at our new facility, the crew again moved very quickly and cautiously so as not damage any furniture and to make certain everything was arranged as per our instruction. All of these gentlemen deserve reward and praise for their hard work.
At the end of the day, the move had taken approximately 4-5 hours and our total amount came well below the estimate! Our encounters with NorthStar from the receptionist answering the phone, to Gadi, to Shay and his crew have been nothing short of wonderful and we would not only highly recommend Northstar to our friends and business associates fantastic service and your ongoing efforts to make one of the most hectic and stressful things in the world (moving) as easy and hassle free as possible. We want to thank you both personally for the sensational job that you and your team of professionals did for us in our recent move to New York City! Your team of wonderful men knocked on our door bright and early, and they were energetic and eager to start working. They were fast, hard working and very professional. All four men divided and conquered different areas of the house to pack all our items with great care and concern. As you both know, we had many very fragile Art sculptures and heavy paintings that are cumbersome and large scale and they took the extra time to be sure all our Art was packed securely and labeled as such. You exude sincerity and warmth and have great confidence in your Company. You made a daunting project seem easy. You walked us through the entire process from beginning to finish and gave us timeline updates while the truck was in transit. We really appreciated that. Our shipment arrived in a timely fashion and Ram made sure everything was unpacked as carefully as it was packed. Ram also stayed in constant contact once our shipment was in New York. Everyone at NorthStar was friendly, competent, professional, and a pleasure to work with.
